The hotel was clean and quiet. It’s centrally located at Market Square (with is currently being renovated) so there are many dining and shopping options. Only downside, and this is not on the hotel, there is a self-parking garage next to the hotel. The price is advertised as $40/day. However, the independent garage has changed its pricing and is doing some funny math. Your 24 hrs resets at 4am and then you’re charged the original $40 plus increments of $10 per hour. So, it’s probably cheaper to valet park with the hotel ($50/day).

Hotel was nice. Not excited to pay for parking. The gym was problematic. The tvs didn't work and the lights went out and left the room dark while I was on a treadmill. This was dangerous and wasn't relieved by my waving my arms. Those sensors need to be updated.

Property was clean and staff was friendly. If you are looking to valet a car think otherwise. I was told that there was no valet and their garage was full and I would have to park in alternate lot two blocks away. Plenty of restaurants in the area and the sporting events are walkable. Both nights I stayed there were people, sounded like teens, fighting in the street.

Easy check in and the staff were very nice. The restaurant on site Revel had great food and great service. The room was clean and spacious. I liked the convenience of the mini fridge and microwave in the room. The location is right next to Market Square which has a lot of restaurants to choose from. Also the Valet parking staff was great! Would definitely stay here again!

This is one of the poorest maintained Hilton’s I’ve stayed at, only one elevator worked, the business center had a broken printer and none of the desktops worked and the valet took forever to retrieve our car

Everything was great except the one working elevator broke on our first night. We had to walk down 9 flights of stairs. The staff was very helpful and let us use the freight elevator to go up.

Our check in was pretty good. We paid for parking and were able to leave our car in the hotel garage. Aside from the fact that the hotel only offers cleaning service and fresh towels every OTHER day under the guise of being environmentally conscious, which is a scam as they charge the same high prices. The room looked pretty nice when we checked in. The only thing I can fault them for is the lack of a vanity mirror in the bathroom or otherwise. This detail is pretty consistent in most hotels. Food options in the area were a bit questionable and inconvenient due to a lot of construction but that was not the fault of the hotel. Beds were not very comfortable and pillows were quite weak. Shower was pretty disgusting as the drain backed up repeatedly while trying to shower, filling the tub with murky water and requiring one to shut the shower for a few minutes and wait for the drain to empty. Then, shivering, one could then try to quickly rinse off before having to shut the water and wait again for the tub to drain. When checking out, the hotel worker did not ask about our stay or seem to care, so I mentioned that the drain was clogged in the shower and filling repeatedly with water. Lacking both caring and compassion, she merely said she would let maintenance know and handed us our bill without another word. Wow! I really felt special as a guest and will be sure to let family, friends and colleagues to avoid this Hilton Garden Inn for their visits to Pittsburgh.

In 3 days, I never stepped foot in the lobby where someone was not cleaning! The elevators were wiped down constantly. NOT just the rails and floor… the walls too!

This has to be the cleanest and well maintained hotel we have ever stayed. Spotless is an understatement! The cleaning staff was also friendly and promptly provided extra towels and wash clothes. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful.

This hotel was just okay. We were actually disappointed in the condition of the room considering the astronomical price we paid to stay for 2 nights over the weekend. The floor planks in the bathroom slid around under our feet. The door knob was loose on the bathroom door. The bed was hard. The furniture in the room was very dinged up. It was quiet, the staff were friendly and professional. You had to eat at a restaurant for breakfast. Coffee was provided for a very limited time in the morning. The lobby was shameful. The furniture is stained and threadbare. The carpet was also very dirty. Staying here is all about the location, really. The art district and market square are right there and easily walkable. There are other options nearby. If we ever go there again, I will definitely be checking them out.

Front desk was very helpful upon check-in. Beds were too soft and my husband & I were constantly rolling towards each other. Chair in room was also incredibly uncomfortable. Air conditioner was so loud, it sounded like a rocket was taking off - it alternated between pumping out arctic air and then warm, humid air. We requested it be fixed after the first night; maintenance did look at it but it wasn't fixed. Disappointing experience for the cost.

Tried to check in at 2 am; nobody was at desk for over an hour. When the obvious drug using desk clerk appeared she said we had no room because we had not check in at 3 pm. Had to pay for an additional room at 3 am. Talked to manager and all they said was sorry and I wouldn’t get charged twice! Because I used Expedia they could not refund my room. We did get free breakfast vouchers. It was ridiculous we did not receive keys also. Keys were pushed under our door sometime after 3:30 am

We tried to check it early. The young man at the front desk (who never even stood up) & was dressed inappropriately for work, told me I was too early, and was not very helpful or informative with the questions I had about parking or the area. Stating he’s not from there, & barely looked at me. When we did go back and check in another young lady was there who was more helpful. The lobby is run down, the couch is worn out and torn. There were 2 young people sleeping on it. The valet was also very unhelpful, when asking him questions he said he’s not from here, he’s only here till September. With the Market Square being under construction that was a disappointment as well. The city seemed to very dirty since the last time we were there. Overall not a great stay. Although the room itself was clean and comfortable. Bad staff and need updates!

Contacted the property to say I’d be there on my birthday and was looking forward to a great stay. Was offered a free upgrade to a corner room at no extra charge and told about the busy weekend ahead. No worries as we were there for a Steeler game. Room was already prepaid so great bonus! Upon arrival, no upgrade. Alerted the desk and was told ‘Sorry, it happens when they are fully booked’. Why offer the upgrade when they are aware they can’t fulfill the offer? Poor customer service from a company that should be capable of blocking off one (1) room as promised. Gave a bad start to our stay. Tried to have dinner in the restaurant downstairs after we arrived and I must have missed where we needed reservations to do so. So that further disappointed us. Just one thing after another. We did give the restaurant a try before breakfast on Sunday and didn’t have much luck there either. We were allowed to sit at the bar to eat but our meal took almost an hour to get to us!! The MOD did comp the meal to take care of the inconvenience. Upon checking out Monday, no staff to relay my concerns, so I hope this reaches someone that will make a difference.

I’ve never experienced such a terrible service at a Hilton hotel. The hotel is conveniently located and clean but the service is just beyond bad. From the lady at the front desk absolutely hating her job and showing it, the person in charge of the valet seating all day on his phone in the lobby, no daily housekeeping service and no notice of it, outrageous overnight parking fee and on top of that, you can not get your car back early in the morning which had us almost missing our flight because you’re supposed to call a number that doesn’t answer! Very very far away from Hilton quality, never again!

This hotel was amazing overall but I want to say how wonderful Amanda at the front desk was. I had booked our room on Hotels.com and there was an issue with the reservation. Not only did she go above and beyond to help me figure everything out, she kept me updated the whole time and also was so kind and I enjoyed talking to her while I waited in the lobby. She made the whole experience less stressful and I truly appreciated that!

Check in process was great and staff was friendly/accommodating to allowing us to check in a little early! Walkable to tons of shops and restaurants and a short distance from the ballpark. We walked everywhere it was great. Hotel was quiet and bed was comfy. View was just ok but it’s a city view so I expected what I was getting. Easy check in/out on the app.

Had a wonderful room. The property was very nice. Had to wait for the desk person to come from the office. She didn’t seem very happy to check us all in as we had a group who all had their own rooms. The bar on the first floor online says they close at 11 and they closed at 9.

The room was spotless. Everyone was super friendly. The access to the restaurant Revel was fantastic and the food was out of this world. All of the surrounding construction was a challenge, but didn’t diminish our great experience.

Easy check in and the staff were very nice. The restaurant on site Revel had great food and great service. The room was clean and spacious. I liked the convenience of the mini fridge and microwave in the room. The location is right next to Market Square which has a lot of restaurants to choose from. Also the Valet parking staff was great! Would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying at this property! Very clean, friendly staff, great amenities in room. We didn’t have much time to walk around the area, but it seemed to be pretty centrally located. The only negatives about the hotel were the lack of the second elevator, and the restaurant staff seemed very inexperienced, and food was delivered cooked incorrectly and not hot. We would definitely stay here again, just not eat at the restaurant.

Lost sleep both nights that we stayed at this location. The air conditioner motor was incredibly loud, especially when first kicking on. Not just ours, but we could hear the air conditioner in the room next door and our family staying in another room also complained of lack of sleep for the same issue. The room heated quickly when we turned the AC off to take a break from the sound. We woke up sweating to 75 degrees. No winning this! Staff did not even ask how our stay was when we checked out. So - we'll pass on this one for our next trip to Pittsburgh. ($50 parking per night was also bit steep for next-door parking garage!)
