Parking is an issue hard to find a spot. Elevator barely works. Everything else is good though

Great bang for your buck. I really enjoyed it. Not far from main attractions, right on the beach, pool is open 24hours. Down falls the elevator was down for a little and lack of parking knowledge. I got back late and the main parking was full I called the front seat the receptionist was very nice and informed me of an overflow parking area and explained in detail.

I absolutely loved the 2 pools and hot tub. We loved almost everything about this hotel. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. The only 2 things I could suggest is 1.) having a charcoal grill out with the gas grills and 2.) I hated not being able to adjust the AC down low enough at night. We sleep at 68 at night and it was not allowed to go below 72. We just opened the doors to let the cold air in for a bit but I feel if you rent a room you should be able to stay comfortable in at as if you are at home. We will be back many times. We have stayed at many hotels in Panama City. Normally 2 times a year for a week and we have now found our favorite one. Thank you.

Pool open 24 hours which was very convenient and nice. It was also nice using the grill which are gas and no coal needed. Easy beach access. Hotel rooms are nice with a nice balcony view.

Our room was nice, we opened our door and were just a few steps from the pool. A few more steps to the beach. Parking was the issue. We had to park across the street from the hotel. And house keeping was supposed to come on the 3rd day and didn’t and when they did come it was the day before we were leaving. Would we stay here again? Probably. I think the good outweighed the bad.

Nice,clean room. Beautiful ocean view. Clean spacious pool area with loungers. Beach chairs and umbrellas for rent on the beach. No onsite Tiki bar was open. Room had a full size fridge and microwave.

The view from the room was great looking out on the beach. The room was very spacious and well lighted. The dresser had numerous holes that appeared to have been drilled on the top. It should be replaced. Bathroom had no hand soap or soap in the containers attached to the tub. No ice machine in the hotel. Subtle signs of lack of maintenance. No phones in the room. The pool and hot tub appeared to be in very good condition.

This property is right on the ocean and our room overlooked the beach. It is a little dated and could use some upgrading. The elevators were really quick each time we called for one. Outdoor staff really seemed to be working to make the property more appealing. One door from the lobby to the pool/beach area was locked a couple, or 3, days while we were there, making it more difficult to get to these areas. Another door to these areas remained locked throughout our stay. But, it was pretty good for what we paid.

Cant say enough good things about our stay. Our room was very clean & spacious, beds were very comfortable & the view was amazing! Waking up every morning seeing the sunrise on the ocean right from our bed not to mention beach access right out our door. The pool was also excellent, you could swim while enjoying the ocean view & sip on an adult beverage at the tiki bar or grab some fresh scooped ice cream in the lounge, play a game of giant pool or enjoy a night bonfire on the beach! Staff was very friendly too! Cant wait to go back!

Not very clean. Parking is a pain. Pool is disgusting. So many people swam in that pool and it was cloudy and gross. I told this to the management. During my 4 night stay, the pool water remained dirty and cloudy. The hotel offered free ice cream in their little shopone day, but the line was so long since they only had one person serving the ice cream…I just left because I didn’t want to waste my beach time. There were never any supplies in the lobby bathroom during my 4 night stay. The beach is ok. Not super clean but decent for the price. I would not stay here again.

Our room, and others, smelled like a pot shop. The pool area reeked of urine. The mattress was rock hard and worn out. Overall the property is old and worn out, in desperate need of some attention. The staff seems bored and disengaged. On the plus side, the beach is beautiful. My advice is find someplace else because the Palmetto Beach Resort is way past it's prime and they don't seem to care.

Close to the water friendly staff. Only problem was the bed bugs.

Clean room easy check in and friendly employees

Roaches!! The heated pool was awesome, the staff was great, but I killed like 18 roaches in my room for a 2 day stay! I had to literally sleep with the lights on and wake up killing roaches. If I had stayed more than 2 days I’d have just left! Terrible!

Air conditioning keep turning off - had maintenance in room twice Sheets dirty - had maintenance to change out …

Cockroach everywhere

Hotel is nice but elevator rugs need to be cleaned. The bathroom floors need better scrubbing and kitchen cabinets sink.

The first room we were in had black mold in the shower. We were woken up in the middle of the night with cockroaches crawling on us. The lady at the front desk switched us to a new room, but it was an overall downgrade, from a king bed to a full. Reaching out to management resulted in our concerns being totally brushed off, and left unaddressed. Overall, the experience was both disgusting and distressing, and I cannot in good faith reccomend this hotel.

Bathroom wasn’t very clean the room looked clean and so did the bathroom until you actually looked at the shower walls and stuff. You would think for around $200 a night it would have been clean and have shampoo, conditioner, and breakfast!

Arrived for our stay. Check in was easy, but upon arriving in room, immediately noticed it was filthy, and room was definitely not as it appeared on property pictures. Old, dated and not at all worth the money. Immediately checked out. Took pictures of splatter on walls, cereal on the floor, bugs, splatter in fridge. Front desk was apologetic and understanding but unable to give refund. Did give us a corporate number so we are calljng that. I dont always have to stay 5star, and i rarely complain, but we left this place with me in tears and not wanting my family to stay there.

Location on the beach was excellent. The room itself was dated, very basic but adequate. The bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan, so it remained steamy and damp.

The beach view was great! Pool area was nice and clean. We just stayed one night so we didn’t utilize any of the amenities. I picked this just because of the price. It definitely needs updated. Painted. New mattress. If you are picky on little details this place is not for you. If you are not there for the room and like a friendly budget I would recommend. Staff was very friendly. Room was large and pool was nice. Did not realize we would be across the street and not have a balcony. Room was worn and we could hear our neighbors on both sides.

A bit outdated but overall nice property very thin walls. Would stay again for the price.

The Good, Beautiful view of the ocean, the staff were nice, I had an issue with my Truck and the Maintenace person helped us. The room was clean, and the price was good. The bad there was no vent in the bathroom, the room was little dated, but it was clean. The room was not ready when we checked in, we got there at 4pm. I waited in line to check in and then went to sit in car until room was ready. They said I could start using the facilities, but I waited in my car. When they paged me that the room was ready, I had to wait again in a line behind three people. I didn't like that I had to wait in line two times to get checked in. They need to fix that. The other issue was the control to the AC seemed like it was set to not go below a certain number. It would turn off and we had to turn it back on. It did get cool enough that we were comfortable or I probably would have checked out. I would probably stay again because it was affordable and clean and the staff was nice.

We loved our room and had a great time. It’s a little outdated and could use some touch ups but other than that we will definitely be back. We stayed in the premier suite and it was huge. Loved it.

I was very disappointed in what the room looked like. It was not like the pictures online, well it looked like the same room but not updated for 50 years. Only thing goung for it was the fact that it was clean and didn't smell.

In need of updates. The beds are horrible, not comfortable at all. There's rust around the doorways and on the stove. The hotel was nice overall, but it really needs to update. Great views and access to the beach.

Was very dissatisfied. Both elevators quit working. Had to use the stairs and my back was out. There was a big gap between the bottom of the door and the floor that allowed bugs, etc. to crawl in the room. The room never got below 73 when set to 67. They told us to pull blinds and give it time. That didn't help so they sent someone up. They said the air was on some sort of sensor system so if you opened an outer door the air went off. They gave us box fans since AC wasn't working properly. Tried to complain to management but no one was there. Day of checkout we requested the manager call us upon arrival. That was yesterday and still no call.

The porch light on the patio was broken. The lamps in the room did not work. Very dated.

The staff WHILE I was there were great. The staff after I left, not so much. Apparently there’s a new policy that is not posted anywhere nor was it mentioned at all and it wasn’t in any email reservation confirmations. Trying to work it out with the front desk was like pulling teeth. The front desk girl hung up on me because she refused to help out in any way. I had to call back and it took 7 tries to get a hold of anyone and at that point, I wanted to speak to a manager. She was able to break it down but it shouldn’t have been like that. Learn to COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY with people. I was in the 2nd bldg and you could tell it was the “outcast” bldg. Was run down a bit. Not kept clean like the main bldg. Trash on the floors, trash cans not emptied outside the rooms. Hot as ever in the hallways. The AC in my room barely worked. It finally started working properly the last night I was there. The only thing I truly liked was I could walk down to the beach and not worry about parking anywhere else. I go to PCB every year for the last 10 years. I’ve never had this much agony and frustration from my stay until now and it was AFTER checking out. I get it’s a tourist attraction, but don’t treat people like they’re stupid or don’t know anything. Treat them like actual human beings and maybe, you’ll have a better business relationship with them. Educate your staff on how your hotel is ran. Don’t keep telling me “it’s new management”. I don’t care really. Learn how it all works.

Check-in was a nightmare. Staff was rude. But I will say our room had a great view from the balcony.

The outstanding Good thing about this unit was the large balcony with a direct view of the beach. The kitchenette was dated and ill equipped. It had one metal fork. The level of grime on the dishes required us to wash and scrub anything that we needed to use. The beds were uncomfortable. If you want ice, it's available for an additional fee. The coffee in the lobby in the mornings is horrible. Check in was very slow because we had to wait behind a party that had complaints. After waiting for several minutes, I reached the desk and found out they had a q r code where they want you to check in through your phone. Maybe that would be helpful to post that where people can see it before they wait behind a slow party. We did not have time to utilize the pool and hot tub.So it definitely wasn't worth the money to pay the mandatoryResort fees. Overall, this was a poor value for the money!

Checking in was horrible, not friendly at all. Did not speak to anyone after I checked in because they were rude. 1st time staying and last time!

Property wasn’t too bad. But sink didn’t drain at first, shower was slippery and had terrible water pressure. I booked on affirm and still had to use my credit card upon arrival. I was told I would get the incidental fee back after checkout and only received partial back. They said the rest was charged for resort fees that I was never aware of. Check-in took forever, there was only one staff member working the desk. Washcloths were hard to come by.

Customer service is not good here at this property. Stayed 2 nights. Ive stayed at this property multiple times and their is always 1 horrible front desk employee. Other than that, id recommend.

When I arrived at the property, it was overbooked. The employee at the front was very friendly and professional. She tried her best to resolve the issue but unfortunately it would take management to refund the issue. I finally got into a smaller room across the road off the beach at 1am. She left a note for management regard what happened and I was expecting a refund or at least a refund of the difference in the rooms. The next day at check out, I waited in the lobby for 2 hours for management to meet with me. I was then finally told that management was off/on vacation. I tried calling multiple times the next week to speak with someone and could not get anyone on the phone. The few hours of sleep I did get was fine.

The only real issue we had was the parking was very limited around the property where we stayed. I guess there wasn’t much we could do about. Just didn’t like having to park across the street. Otherwise the view was wonderful and the room was very comfortable.

Perfect location for a well earned reset. The beach was beautiful and the area was quiet.

It was absolutely amazzing. Westay here each time we go to PCB. Convenient and easy to access. Just wished we could have stayed longer. Only thing that could make it better would be a free stay for a couple of nights lol.

Location was great. Clean comfortable room. Loved the view of the Gulf from our private balcony. Lots of nearby restaurants and entertainment.

I love that you can see and hear the ocean from the pool and hot tub. Very family friendly. The amenities (gift shop, snack bar, outdoor tiki bar) were never staffed, so you have to grab the one person at the front desk to help you (who usually has a line of people they are already helping). Staff wasnt outright rude but also not very friendly. The room was clean and had the basics of what you need, comfortable bed, microwave, full size fridge, iron and ironing board,hair dryer, coffeemaker, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash. I would stay here again just for the view and access to the beach for the price. You're getting a clean, pretty basic room with an excellent view.

Easy access to the beach and it was perfect.

We had a balcony over looking the gulf. It was a corner room so there was an extra window which was nice. Pool was nice and clean and they have a tiki bar open 10:30-7:00. There’s also Mguires right across the street. You do have to park across the street but not really a big deal. Overall good stay

I wish the Tiki Bar was open. It would have been nice to sit back and relax with a good drink in hand. I would have also liked it if the Tiki Bar served food as well.

I liked the oceanfront location and heated pool. I didnt like that there was no breakfast served at the location. You had to drive everywhere.

My reservation was for 2 nights but after I arrived and saw how lovely it was I booked an additional 2 nights. I was very disappointed that the Tiki Bar was not open. That was one of the things I was looking forward to. Also I would have liked for there to have been an onsite restaurant. That would have made this a complete package.

I liked the premier room but the classic and deluxe wasn’t as good and they had no amenities like shampo and body wash in the premier and deluxe room and I liked the pool it was nice and kids pool and beach but the staff was rude when we had a late check out and kept harassing us when it was raining and trying to wait for. A cart and then they wouldn’t ever let us stay in the same rolm even if I paid about the same amount .it was more of a hassle there and the housekeeping was rude .but I was there with two kids .but other than that it was nice and parking was bad though not enough spots .

When I booked this, I had no idea we would be across the street at the other building. The booking said “across street” but on a map, the only building listed as the Palmetto is the main building. Other than that, the room was very clean. Never saw any bugs. Sheets were clean and no stains on them. Water pressure in the shower was great. The outdoor pool was very clean, but the chairs were kind of dirty looking and stained. The tiki bar was closed down. It’s a close drive to the Pier Park area, but most of the restaurants there were crazy expensive. I definitely recommend walking to the McGuire’s pub by the hotel for food and drinks one night.

If you're low maintenance- this would be great. TVs are old and small. Beds are uncomfy AF. But super big hotel room and close to the beach. No breakfast in the mornings so that sucked. But coffee was good.
