Anna Maria Island Dream Inn

The person at the front desk was friendly but they are not staffed full time. I was under the impression that we were staying at the Anna Maria Dream Island Inn, but they had us stay at Club Bamboo which was also part of the property. Overall, the size of the room was fine. The room had a Mr. Coffee pot style coffee maker but no coffee to make it with. The box spring cover looked like it had mildew on it and one of our pillowcases had a blood stain on it (see pictures below). On the website, it mentioned there were umbrellas and chairs available for the beach but all the umbrellas were broken we were told. If staying here, you will want to bring your own beach towels since the ones they provided were almost unusable for the beach. The pool area appeared to be clean, but there is no bathroom unless you go up to your room. It was not terribly bad, but I will not be staying here again.

There is no staff on site. Every thing is done by phone. More like a airbud house. If you need a towel or more TP you call and number. God knows how you will get it. Pool was clean but needs repair. We stayed there 4 year ago was great staff great too. Now no staff and place has gone down hill. Will not be going back.

Loved location, parking, closeness to the beach, breeze way, and elevator. Rooms are adequate but need updating; no instructions on cable, facility rules, or garbage. No staff on site to ask questions. Had no cable and AC never really cooled down the room.

Amazing staff and great atmosphere. Manager was so friendly and helpful I felt secure and right at home. The pool was perfect and I will definitely be back again for that view.

I like the staff. They were very customer service oriented and attended to our needs. However, the property is understaffed. This property needs a lot of updating and the word resort should be removed from advertising. This is not a resort. There is no food or beverage or ice on the property. The lounge chairs are so old that when you lay in them, your body sinks through the straps. Umbrellas are broken. Beds are horrible. Utensils and pots and pans are sticky and dirty. Our room had a hole in the wall and a broken window, which is a security problem.we couldn’t lift the faucet handle in the master bathroom, as it was stuck. The only things that The Dream Inn has going for it is that it is on the beach with spectacular sunsets and it’s amazing staff. I felt bad for the staff. They were running around accommodating everyone with smiles on their faces. They are overworked and need help. The investors could really make this place a spectacular resort if they would sink some money into it. I will not be returning to the Dream Inn, as I would rather stay at a real resort that is clean, has food and beverage, has working faucets, doesn’t have holes in the wall and that definitely has comfortable beds. Additionally, I also prefer a 24 staff. No staff at property after 6pm. The stay was definitely not worth what I paid. I love Marty and her daughter though.

Our Air conditioning didn’t work so no one slept well. Instead of fixing it they gave us fans. The room was wrong so our kids had to sleep on cots instead of real beds. There weren’t enough chairs or table space for everyone to sit down. Some of the lights didn’t work. The pool wasn’t heated, so we had to walk three properties over for a heated pool.

Absolutely loved the place. Intimate, so close to the beach, which is what I love. The rooms were nice, air conditioners worked great. Only complaint, no broom for tile floors at the beach. A lot of sand was tracked in due to beach gear being brought in. Everyone one there was so nice. Just don't expect 4 star hotel amenities. It is an old Florida hotel, no ice machine, no food. But the location is amazing. We loved it.

Booked at Club bamboo south #118 Friday -Monday. I lived in the area previously. The refrigerator was warm, my husband being a diabetic & needing to refrigerate insulin. Our food was spoiled overnight. My husband vomited all day Saturday due to spoiled food. So a whole day lost having to move to #118. I requested a late check out since we lost the day due to a BROKEN REFRIGERATOR, I was offered to check out at 11am for $50 charge. We left today Monday at 8:00am, we took out our own trash & placed used towels in tub. The parking lot is full of trash debris & cigarette butts, BROKEN curbs.

It was a beautiful view, clean room, No frills. Property does need some up keep, pool did not look clean at all. Beach chair area not kept up, sandburs everywhere where people walk through to beach. Our drains did not work well in toilet or bathroom sink. Otherwise Great location, convenient. We were put in Club Bamboo, sister property a few doors down which did work well for us. I thought is was a nicer property. I would stay again.

I love how close the beach was and the water was super clean and nice in the pool.

Location is great. The views are gorgeous. Right on the beach. Larger rooms- 2 queen and separate master bedroom was perfect along with a kitchen. It’s not fancy, but is clean and friendly. Marty and staff are great!

The air conditioning did not work when we arrived it took till the next morning to be able to talk with any one. Then going back to keep checking up on the status of the repairs because the manager kept telling different lies. Then the shower handle broke and only cold water would come out and could not turn it off. I told the management as was informed the repair guy comes in at 10 am. At 1 pm i asked about an update as no one came to the room still and was told that they will be getting it fixed right away. At 6pm no one still came to the room and they tried to leave with out ever contacting me with any Updates. They told me i could still take a cold shower whats the big deal after i said this is terrible service.

Terrible place to stay and terrible employees. They charged us 800 extra for having the kids (total of 4 ) for a king bed with couch, saying that was a 2 person room. Amenities are terrible, pool is dirty. The receptionist tricked us into paying almost double the amount we paid to expedia. Do not book this place!

We had an amazing time at the Dream Inn. Marty was so helpful in our check in and during our stay. Can't wait to come back!

What i liked the most about this hotel, is that is right in front of the beach. No walking, or crossing streets to go to the beach, just go down the stairs and you are there.

We are disappointed in this property given the price that we paid. It appears to be a 1950s property that has not been upgraded. The front staff was very helpful, but there was really limited service and we had to go to get our own towels, and the room was never cleaned by the maids. Beach access was easy and they did provide chairs. $400 was overpriced, I would expect $150-175 for this property. Hotels.com reservation service was smooth.
