I can’t say enough great things about this place! The cottage was clean and cozy, the yard games they have for the visitors is such a nice touch, the fire pit to gather around, the grills they have to use, the location to the entrance to the RMNP…I mean this place marks off all the accommodation needs. Check in and out is a breeze! And they are super easy to communicate with! 5 stars hands down!

Great stay! Place was very clean and well kept. Checkin and checkout was very convienient and quick. Excellent location. My only complaint was hot tub was burning hot - too hot to get into. I would totally stay here again.

This place was fantastic. Great location. I wanted to have more of a “glamping” stay and our stay was just that. Outdoorsy feel yet still having amenities. We made s’mores by the fire pit and enjoyed the hot tub after a full day of hiking. My only remark for improvement were the beds. They were pretty firm. However, I know bed type is different for everyone. Communication was excellent! I’d definitely stay here again

Our cottage was very cool. Small but comfortable, very cozy. Easy access to town and RMNP, but not in the middle of all the hubbub. Well maintained property with lots of personal touches. Lots of flowers and birds, private, and the hot tub is nice after a day in the woods. Will be back.

Very close to the park entrance and few restaurants. Cottage was cozy and nice. Bathroom was very tiny and not in good condition. Rest was all good. It was good to get the car parked in front of the cabin.

The location was great. The place is dated, but clean except the carpets should be shampooed. Also there should be another chair in living room, the couch was not big enough for 4 of us and one had to sit on kitchen chair to watch TV. The owner’s communication was great.

We loved the location. The cottage could use some tlc. The thread bare sheets are unacceptable. Soap dispenser, dishsoap and strainer in kitchen were filthy.

We very much enjoyed the Iris #1 cabin we rented. It was VERY clean. The bed was comfortable. And the location was perfect! It was 10 minutes from RMNP entrance, 10 minutes from the Stanley Hotel (great place tour), and was 10 steps from Bird and Jim’s restaurant that I highly recommend. Check in and out was a piece of cake! We would definitely stay here again when in Estes Park!

The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and clean. A free bundle of wood was available for a fire in the fireplace. I received a text letting me know our room was done early and how to check in. The room was clean and cozy. We will definitely return.

For the rates they charge for this cabin I find the whole experience unacceptable. The pots and pans in this cabin are worn out, were dirty, some had baked on food and the others have teflon flaking off. Unusable. The gas heater near the dining/bedroom area exhausts into the cabin because it is not drafting the exhaust properly. The porch light was out for the entire three days we stayed and was not replaced. There was never anyone in the office to communicate any of this to. The floors are uneven and cracked. Of the two electric heaters provided only one was partiality operational. The only outlet in the bedroom area does not work but they did leave a dirty extension cord which I suppose was meant to be draped across the cabin to where power was needed. The dish rack was filthy. The dishes were dirty. We cleaned them before we checked out but shouldn’t the proprietors at least check them before someone else checks in? The kitchen sponge was worn out and dirty/moldy. We had to go buy a dish rag. The TV has a broken speaker and is terrible to listen to. The only seating in the “tv” room in the front entrance of the cabin was a twin bed. Many windows have broken screens and locks. The oven and refrigerator were fine. The bed seemed clean once we removed the dirty blankets and used one we brought with us.

Where to begin. First the bed is too big for the little “used to be a porch” bedroom. In order to walk around the bed you have to navigate the dresser and make yourself flush to the wall/windows. The thin curtains on the windows that covered three walls did not block any light. Only one of the 10 windows had a shade. The very thin and worn blankets are in need of replacing. The couch is worn and sags terribly. The little bathroom smelled of mildew and sour drain smell. We called the manager and he came out to work on the drain. The sink is good for left handed tooth brushers only. All that being said the property was cute albeit old.

Very cute cottage. Perfect for what we were looking for. Clean and well maintained. Process to check in was exactly as expected from the welcome email and the cottage had all the essentials we needed. The bathroom is a little tight, especially the shower if you’re tall (we are both over 6’) but it was hard to really care while relaxing on the balcony with such a beautiful view.

Very small but cute cottage. The bathroom is the smallest I’ve ever seen though and kind of hard for a large adult to use. The are was quiet but having the bedroom as the “front” room and only having curtains (couldn’t avoid gaps) made me feel kind of exposed.

These cottages are charming, but close to the road, so it was rather loud at night. The queen bed was two cots put together! Not very comfortable. We did like the cosy decor and location close to town

Very rustic cabin. Important note: No AC. They did have a ceiling fan. It would not have been much of a problem except that we were there during a heat wave. However, overall, it was a pleasant stay. Dog friendly!

I really enjoyed this property! The location was really central for accessing both the Bear lake entrance and the longs peak trailhead. There are four restaurants within the block the cabins are on (all of which had vegetarian options). The space was small and cozy and was enough off the main road that it was quiet at night. All the amenities I needed were provided and the dogs and I had a great trip! The Este visitor center had a good list of dog friendly hikes so we were able to walk around town on the bike path, get 6ish miles in at the YMCA of the Rockies property and hike Crosier Mountain trail all of which were with 15 minutes of the cabins.

Definitely a no-frills kind of place. A little bit quirky but nice for a weekend away. Felt a bit like a glamping trip - shower, bathtub, cable tv, and functional kitchenette but the WiFi wasn’t really functional. Super close to the entrance for Rocky Mountain National Parks. There are restaurants and a grocery store in super close walking distance. Downtown Estes Park is only a 5-10 min drive away. Staff was quick to help fix a mix-up with our room.

Loved the little cottage for my hubby and I. Location was perfect at the center of the Rocky Mountain trails, near shopping and dining, and clean. Shower was too small, and we are 5' 4 and 120-150 pounds.

Found unit rented to be uncomfortable after first night. Advised owner via a text message requesting to relocate to another unit - received no reply until we had checked out 2 days early. Photos on website misrepresented real-time condition of unit. Unit was dark and dingy with a floor that was so uneven as to create an unsafe condition, especially at the bathroom door. Bathroom floor was sticky and the shower walls were separated from each other and the walls. The improvised wood 2x4 on the floor at the kitchen cabinet base units was a constant tripping hazard. The owner deliberately failed to recognize these issues when they were brought to his attention. Our conclusion is that this unit is a dump and that this property should be avoided entirely!

I can’t say enough great things about this place! The cottage was clean and cozy, the yard games they have for the visitors is such a nice touch, the fire pit to gather around, the grills they have to use, the location to the entrance to the RMNP…I mean this place marks off all the accommodation needs. Check in and out is a breeze! And they are super easy to communicate with! 5 stars hands down!

Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and salt and pepper. Everything was well worn, but clean and useable. Water heater pilot went out, but owner came and fixed it within an hour of being notified- very responsive and helpful. Overall a nice stay.

Aaron, one of the property managers, went above and beyond and got me my timed entry pass into the Rocky Mountain National Park!! We were so thankful and it made our day of hiking in the park perfect!

The team are excellent to deal with. I had big travel issues and my keys were left in the office so no matter what time I arrived I could get in. A little map of where my cottage was would have helped as it was very dark, I was tired and I had to wander round until I found it. The cottage had everything I needed and was clean. I’d love to be back when it’s cooler to get a fire going inside. I would definitely stay again. Great restaurants close by and a grocery store. Perfect location.

The location was great, just minutes from the Park entrance, which was what we were looking for. There are also several options of restaurants walking distance, we recommend specially the restaurant just across the street, the service was great and so was the food.

Great location to stay see Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park. We walked to restaurants and enjoyed the scenery. It’s not walkable to the middle of the tourist strip, but half dozen good restaurants and coffee shops are around the intersection. The Beaver Hut cabin is two or three cabin structures cobbled together. I say cobbled because the Beaver Hut is two structures with a pass through hall way with a ceiling low enough to hit my head and I’m only 5’10”. The structures appear to be vintage so they have cool features like windows that fold out at the top, hinged at the bottom. Flower boxes, and a porch. There’s a legit old timer wood burning stove and back up heater. No AC. We didn’t mind cooling with the breeze through the windows but the back wall of windows don’t fit the frames well and need sticks to prop them open in their frame. The kitchen had the necessities for a long stay but we didn’t cook on the full size oven/range or microwave. Tha bathroom is spacious but lacks any ventilation of my kind.

The place is truly a gem. It’s closer to the entrance of the RMNP, which we found to be convenient, and not in the hustle and bustle of the town. Location is busy during the day but gets quiet in the evenings, we could hear elk bugling in the mountains, which we enjoyed. Cozy cottage gives you a mountain feel. Would definitely recommend this place and will return!

I really enjoyed this property! The location was really central for accessing both the Bear lake entrance and the longs peak trailhead. There are four restaurants within the block the cabins are on (all of which had vegetarian options). The space was small and cozy and was enough off the main road that it was quiet at night. All the amenities I needed were provided and the dogs and I had a great trip! The Este visitor center had a good list of dog friendly hikes so we were able to walk around town on the bike path, get 6ish miles in at the YMCA of the Rockies property and hike Crosier Mountain trail all of which were with 15 minutes of the cabins.

This place was fantastic. Great location. I wanted to have more of a “glamping” stay and our stay was just that. Outdoorsy feel yet still having amenities. We made s’mores by the fire pit and enjoyed the hot tub after a full day of hiking. My only remark for improvement were the beds. They were pretty firm. However, I know bed type is different for everyone. Communication was excellent! I’d definitely stay here again

The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and clean. A free bundle of wood was available for a fire in the fireplace. I received a text letting me know our room was done early and how to check in. The room was clean and cozy. We will definitely return.

We traveled here to go to Rocky Mountain national Park with her four and five-year-old daughters. We loved the rustic, feel and very quaint. We also really enjoyed the ability to have a kitchen. The bathroom was very small, but worked for us. While the kids are still young, we will definitely stay there again.

Our stay at Colorado Cottages was great! Check-in was easy. Check-out was easy. I seriously considered stealing one of their pillows (I didn’t!), I thought the bed was very comfortable! They have board games and DVDs. We made a little fire in our fireplace with the complementary wood after our day of hiking- it was just perfect! I saw a hot tub and some grills, but I’m not sure if they are for all of the cabins to use or if they’re part of one cabin. You’re within walking distance of food/restaurants and some small shops and just a few minutes drive to the congested downtown area.

While the cottage was very cute and the staff was very friendly, the cottage needs a lot of updating. The bathroom is tiny and the fixtures in the shower were not very secure. The pots and pans in the very compact kitchen were almost unusable as they were burnt and very old. There is only baseboard heat in the bedroom, not the main part of the cottage, so you have to use the fireplace in the main area and that is not very convenient at bedtime if someone is on the sleeper sofa. The sofa is very old and needs to be replaced. The location is nice right at the edge of town and fairly quiet.

I was unable to access the check in procedure until 2:00pm the day of arrival, which was very unsettling, and there were no staff onsite. Cute little period piece cabin, reasonably stocked. Good heat and pressure in the shower. The unit was what I was expecting.

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay at Colorado Cottages. It was during the July 4 holiday, so everything was crowded, including the park. But the cabin was clean, the outdoor grills were great (cooked up some steaks), and the distance to everything is nice. Check in was easy and having a pet-friendly place to stay is what Colorado is all about.
