I had a wonderful stay at the Voyageur Motel in Two Harbors, MN. The room was clean and comfortable. The AC worked well, and there was a ceiling fan that kept the room cool too. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I had stayed there several years ago however this trip was much better in every way and under new, competent ownership. I hope to stay there again next year. Highly recommended for "dog parents" too. It is located on No. hwy. 61, the start of the magnificent drive along the North Shore of Lake Superior.
I had a wonderful stay at the Voyageur Motel in Two Harbors, MN. The room was clean and comfortable. The AC worked well, and there was a ceiling fan that kept the room cool too. This is an awesome motor lodge. But, do not have false expectations… there is no breakfast, no fancies. Bring what you need. But, it is an awesome little stay!

We are an older couple. 74 & 83, in the are to hike Gooseberry Falls and Tettegouche State Parks. This is an older property with just 8 rooms but our room was well maintained with a shower and showerhead that delivered a full amount of water at the right temperature once the hot water arrived at the showerhead. The toilet was clean and flushed properly. The only problem we found was there were no cups for water or coffee even though there was coffee and a pot available. We used our water bottles and didn't realize there was a housekeeper living right on the property. We didn't use the flat screen TV or the small refrigerator or small microwave and it was cool enough we only used the fan on the air conditioner so I can't comment on those items. For a great breakfast, reasonably priced ($4.95 for 2 eggs and toast with lots of other tasty options) full of locals try Judy's Cafe North of the motel, in town about 1/4 mile on the same side of the street. There also was a convenient grassy area just across the parking lot, for pets to relieve themselves. For the money, it was a good place to stay for a couple of nights.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the motel! The exterior gives real old-school, Route 66 type vibes. The room was large, with a huge comfy bed. The sheets were soooo soft and good pillows too. There was a fridge and microwave. The room had a ceiling fan which was sufficient most of the time, but also a small AC unit when needed. The shower was a good pressure and temperature. Dan the host was very welcoming. Parking right outside the room.

On check in day the toilet wasn’t flushing and someone had moved the refrigerator tray and I couldn’t put in back in place. I phoned the manager and she was at baseball game in Hermantown. It was close to an hour before she returned to the motel. Finally she made the adjustments. The garbage on the property was full on Monday. And still full when I left Wed am. The ac in my room was so loud it vibrated the windows. No one visible in the office I dropped the key around 0930 . What a Disastrous and disappointing stay!!!!
