Hotel Vandivort was way more luxe than I was expecting for Springfield, MO. And downtown was HOPPING on a Friday night-- cocktails downstairs and room amenities upstairs were really nice. A couple little things: 1) just one elevator to our room in the annex and the rooftop bar meant we were having to wait a LOT along with bar goers to get up and down. And although I was totally charmed that we got a turntable and records in our room, there was something wrong with the speakers and we couldn't play them :( Gorgeous hotel, and perfectly quiet inside even though it was so central.

The hotel is beautiful and our room was well appointed. The staff was super friendly and responded quickly to a thermostat issue we had in our room. Our room was a V2 suite in the 2nd building. My only recommendation is that they add a covered walkway between the 2 buildings to protect from weather.

The design of this hotel is beautiful. Lots of nice touches. However it missed the mark in a couple of areas. Valet is encouraged and needed but it routinely took 25-30 minutes to get our car. The rooms are susceptible to lots of outside noise. Noise from the party atmosphere in the street, and from in the hallways. We had to use a sound machine loop turned up loud on our phones just to sleep. The vibe is super cool, but these things made our stay less than satisfactory for the cost.

Arrival was easy and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant was down on the night we planned on having dinner so that was frustrating. Decent pizza place next door. Then the power went out for quite awhile. This hotel doesn’t have any backup system and there was no information sent out in text or intercom so we were concerned about what was happening. Otherwise, the room was clean but the floors were scratched all up and the bed was hard. My previous stay was really good so this is not usual for this establishment. I would stay again because the management was very kind about the situation. It’s a beautiful hotel.

The V is a great place to stay! The hotel being modern was very nice to see. The staff is friendly and the look and feel of the hotel are all great. I am someone who travels a lot and stays very frequently at different t hotels. For Springfield this hotel is the very best you can find. However, the parking is horrible and is not clear where it’s okay to park… no big deal though. Not a deal breaker. The V has two buildings - we stayed in the V2 suite. Again, great presentation and feel. One thing that was disappointing was the level of cleanliness on a daily basis. You expect for the previous nights silverware and dirty dishes/trash to be removed, floor vacuumed, furniture tops wiped down. This did not happen… we even found trash from the previous guest under the sink on a trash can. This is a beautiful property, and I’m sure this happened because the folks they hire to clean rooms are kids. With a little better oversight of the cleaning crew, this place is by far the best in Springfield. Unfortunately for me, I’d rather stay someone less flashy as long as it’s properly cleaned. Was really just basic things that one could see as being a real problem long term. Other than that- lived everything else!

The room was dirty/dusty. There were blood stains on the pillows and lots of yellowing from previous guests drool/sweat. The king bed was not a true king size bed. There was drywall missing in the bathroom from a previous leak.

There was only one valet at curbside and no luggage carts. There was no parking on the street or available lots so we struggled the stairs in the parking garage as the elevators didn't work ( my husband and I are 81 so it was not easy). Our room was not ready until 6:00 but they gave us each a drink coupon to compensate. When we finally got into our room we noticed that the bathroom floors weren't cleaned. I

Room was not cleaned well. Hair in bathroom from previous guest and fixtures in room and bathroom have not been cleaned/dusted in quite some time. Also, dust bunnies under the chair in the corner of the room.

Refrigerator had leftover food from previous guest, was propped partially open due to the huge chunk of ice that formed around the leftover box preventing the door from closing properly, and smelled horrible. Called the front desk multiple times was sent to voicemail. Left a message no one responded/called back or came to remove the trash from the room. Hotel itself was great Service and cleanliness did not impress.

The room was not very clean. There was an unknown sticky appearing fluid in the bedside drawer, brown splashes on the wall near the trash and some debris on the floor near the edges of the room in places. The bathroom and bed were clean with fresh linens. This was a disappointment overall for obvious reasons since I booked this specifically at the higher price point expecting to have a clean, fresh hotel to stay in for my work trip.

Splurged on a V2 Balcony Suite — so disappointed! Stayed here before in the main building and been impressed. Paid over $300 for 1 night. Didn’t realize the V2 Balcony Suite was in a different building. Checked in and was directed out the back door through a rundown alley/parking lot to another building. Upon entering the suite, was greeted by run down furniture that looked like it had (barely) survived a fight. Everything was dirty and dusty. Opened the balcony doors around midnight to find people below on the picnic table that were obviously tweaking. Gave up on using the balcony and went to bed. Will not be back.

The hotel is always spotless clean and staff is helpful. Easy parking with a three minute walk to you room. Roof top bar is always a unique and special place. Room is perfect and shower area is special. Always feel safe!

Hotel lobby is very nice. Our bathroom floor was filthy. We only had three towels. The next day we did not get housekeeping or clean towels. We called down for our car. When we went down to leave the car was there but the valet was not. We had to wait fifteen minutes for our keys.

I loved everything about this hotel except the bed. It was harder than a hospital bed. If you like a firm mattress, this is the perfect hotel for you. I’m disappointed because I was very much hoping this was going to be a frequent booking for me.

I have to question the description I thought I read of a balcony and view. Our room had both but of the alley and a parking lot. I don’t like having a QR code to get room information or wi-fi password. I prefer a written hand book.

Our kids were not allowed on the rooftop bar, which is actually not on this property, but next door. The restaurant on site is small and also not family friendly. Their queen beds are not queen beds, more like fulls, and the small square pillows are terrible for sleeping. Our air conditioner would not cool past 76, despite having it set lower and our door did not shut properly. When I mentioned these things at checkout, I got a "sorry" and was told they would reach out to maintenance.

We were not told our rooms would be down in the basement during reservations! No change was possible once we were there - our request was not granted to change rooms to the higher floors. No ventilation, real basement-y room, glad we were not in there for more than a night. Never going here again.

The stay was decent but we were in the second building which to my understanding was the new building. We have stayed there before and the airflow is terrible and we had hoped that it would have been fixed but wasn’t. The hotel is on the high side for price and doesn’t deliver on the price.

great customer service! special mention to Ari, & the guy with her in the same shift (1pm) for the smooth check in and accommodating my surprise request for my wife since it’s our anniversary stay, thanks to them. Also to hanna in the afternoon shift for granting my request LCO was a big help for my important errands. It was a pleasant stay and a memorable anniversary for us. Super clean, classy hotel, great property. Will definitely coming back and try the suite.

We have stayed here exclusively numerous times over the last 5 years. Outstanding service, rooms are comfortable and clean, the hotel is in walking distance to multiple great restaurants. This visit we arrived at 515 to find our room not ready and was not ready until 6 pm. This made us late to our evening engagement. I think what upset me the most was the five or six managers standing around and not helping get rooms ready for the many of us waiting on rooms.

I purchased a King room and was given a 2 queen room. I tried to resolve with the front counter and they basically said there was nothing they could or would do about it even after showing them my reservation.

Asked if I could cancel but due to their cancelation fees it wasnt worth it so we stayed. Ironically they were 10 minutes late with our room being ready. They also charged 450 dollars extra from my account and refused to acknowledged they screwed up. Told me to contact my bank instead "cause they never charged that".( the expense said Hotel Vandivort...duh) Staff at the hotel itself were rude with a smile on Their face and again...could not acknowledge their mistakes let alone try to fix them. Terrible experience. However vantage rooftop bar and lounge was well worth it. Great customer service and amazing food and drink.

Since we are gold members (VIP) we were told to contact them the morning of our stay and if they had any room upgrades we would get one for free. When I called she said yes they had 2 different ones that were available for us. When we arrived she said that they were not going to let us have either of them and just said she was sorry. They wanted to wait to see if they could sell them..... Highly disappointing to be told something and then something else just a few hours later.

The two staff members I interacted with were both rude. The check in desk lady was covered in LGBT paraphernalia and seemed to dislike me or men in general from the moment I walked up. The valet guy was annoyed I asked him were I was supposed to park. Sometimes people can't let the valet park their car for any number of reasons. When I choose to stay at what appears to be a better than average hotel in an area it's so I feel relaxed and comfortable. I can sleep at a fleabag motel if I just want to sleep. I was on a long road trip and I wanted to relax and recharge. Two employees pretty much wrecked that in the first 10 minutes. I avoided interactions with any other staff. Instead of using any of the hotel services I went down the block to the burger joint and enjoyed the staff and the food.

I liked the class of the hotel compared to what was available in the location. I did not like that we were booked in an occupied room and had to go get security twice and they did not believe it could be occupied but assumed we didn’t know how to use our card key. We got in around 10pm tired and hungry- in fact it was occupied and they said oh sorry here’s two drink vouchers but you’ll have to go across the way to the other building. Hotel kitchen was closed.

Service was great, room was large and clean and you can’t beat the location if you want to be downtown. We enjoy concerts at the Guillioz theater built in 1926, not a bad seat in the house. The V is our go to hotel as it’s only a 4 minute walk to the theater. Great people!

This property had a nice restaurant and a rooftop bar area. The problem we had was our room was in a seperate building across an open alley way. Our room faced the square where modified cars and motorcycles showed off how loud they were until about 1am. It was very loud and kept us up. We aldo had loud neighbors. When we were leaving about 6am we had to walk from our building to the main building for checkout which was across an open alley way/street and it was raining. The staff was great.

Terrible! For the price of this property they lack majorly, the most uncomfortable hard beds, stiff pillows and thin bedding. But wait there’s more! There’s zero parking for this property so you have to pay $5 every time you leave to park in a garage next door. Lastly the entire area is noisy. We stayed for a week and every evening from 11pm-1/2am you would hear people through town revving engines and that’s all you heard, the rooftop bar played music till an obsurd time on a Tuesday of all days, we were v2 balcony 4th floor room. Never again will we stay here!

Great hotel. Beautiful. Classy. Room was amazing. BUT, “The Order” restaurant in the hotel was a major let down. Extremely expensive and the food was awful. Best thing about it was the tap water. We would definitely stay there again but will NOT eat at the restaurants there. Plenty around that are much better.

Beautiful hotel- super clean and very comfortable bed, pillows and linens. The room was spacious and decorated very well. We enjoyed our night there and would happily recommend to anyone. Also, the food at the hotel restaurant was amazing

Our stay here was fantastic! The check in and valet process was super simple. The staff made us feel very welcomed and at home. While we didn’t eat in the restaurant we did go to the rooftop bar twice and both time the experience was great! The wait staff were awesome as the views are great too. I especially enjoyed the heated outdoor area because it was a little cooler when we returned in the evening. The record players in the room was the icing on the cake! There is a record shop across the street from the hotel and we popped in and added a few to the rooms collection. The downtown area is very much alive and there are a ton of places to eat and drink. We saw a show at the Blue Room comedy club which was only a 7 min walk from the hotel and managed to stop at some places for drinks on the way back. Quick Tip: If you’re looking for late night eats, Pickleman’s is on the same block as the hotel and is open until 2AM. If we’re ever back in Springfield, Hotel Vandivort is the only place we will be staying. I highly recommend it!

Arrival was easy and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant was down on the night we planned on having dinner so that was frustrating. Decent pizza place next door. Then the power went out for quite awhile. This hotel doesn’t have any backup system and there was no information sent out in text or intercom so we were concerned about what was happening. Otherwise, the room was clean but the floors were scratched all up and the bed was hard. My previous stay was really good so this is not usual for this establishment. I would stay again because the management was very kind about the situation. It’s a beautiful hotel.

This is my favorite hotel in Springfield. Nice, clean and modern with great food. The location is also really nice if you like to walk; there are all kinds of restaurants and bars to explore in a close proximity. Live weekly music in the lobby is really good too.

It’s a beautiful and unique hotel. The room is spacious and clean, it has all you need and the bed and pillows are very comfortable! They have a restaurant with great food and professional staff, the manager, Jennifer, took very good care of us. The valet staff were very friendly and hard working! Unfortunately, the woman at the front desk at check in was very cold and unwelcoming.

From the moment you walk in you can feel their style, and it says, luxury. The room was spacious and upscale. The color palette and brick accent wall felt like a bedroom in the nicest house you’ve ever been in. We enjoyed the rooftop vantage bar, and the restaurant and bar in the main hotel. Shout out to Josh for his expertise and friendliness. The staff from the manager on down were very accommodating. The location was very walkable, clean, and safe to all the local shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.
