Parking is very tight. The rooms were clean but our room this time was in the lowest portion near the parking and mildew was an issue. No room service still. Pool was very cold for being heated. Some disrepair around the grounds. Walkable to the beach and if you’re brave enough Nubble.

Lovely hotel in a residential area just a few minutes walk to the beach. Very nice staff. The room was fine, nothing fancy. Heated pool was a nice treat. We enjoyed our weekend with no complaints.

The pool and hot tub need to be worked on. We have been going there for 20 years and it’s time! Nothing but coffee offered and the price keeps going up!

From the time we check in the staff was awesome! Friendly and helpful. Having easy parking in close proximity to the beaches was a great perk and the pool was perfect for familys and adults with the added perk of a hottub. Bed was softer then I like but for a beach side stay the lighthouse is perfect!

Room was damp and musky. There was a loud window air conditioner. Insects: Earwigs and Centipedes in the room. Had to scoop a few up and flush down the toilet. We stayed in room 22. Every evening we came back to our room it was a terrible struggle to find parking. The walls were thin so you could hear your neighbour's conversations as if they were in your room. Only nice thing I can say is location was within walking distance to the beach.

Not a bad place to stay. Our king deluxe room (#11) was spacious and comfortable. They could invest in larger TVs, but at least there is one. Room was clean and in decent shape for the most part - carpet was quite stained. Pool area, and hot tub in good shape and clean. Pretty good value for the price.

The rooms were wonderful, however not as clean as they could’ve been we found cookies that we did not have underneath the bed. The parking was horrible if you have a bigger vehicle to get in and out of there. The pool was awesome.

Pool was closed early post-season, which we were never informed of until after we checked in. Very disappointing: if I’d known about that, I would never have booked there; I would have booked elsewhere instead. Room was dusty; dirty. Toilet got easily blocked. Bed was small, with a flabby mattress. Rest assured that we will NOT stay there again.

There were stains on the sofa, rug and chairs. The bed was a residential spare bedroom type, not a commercial hotel bed. People were nice, but haven't offered an explanation or talk about a refund, so after service service isn't good either Broken blinds.

This property was extremely clean. The grounds are well maintained. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Loved that we could walk to most everything. It’s nice that there are still affordable places to stay in York Beach.

the Inn needs to be updated.The bed and seating were old and uncomfortable. The lighting was terrible. There were no outlets to plug in electronics, etc. The room came with a balcony. We had to share the balcony with neighbors. The balcony furniture required padding, the padding was missing.

Grew up in York for the summers. Never stayed here before but the room was awful. No outlets worked and neither did the main light switch. Tv didn’t work at all. Everything is very old and outdated. We personally wouldn’t stay here again. Too expensive for poor quality.

The location was good for walking to Long Sands beach and driving to everywhere else. The room we stayed in (25) was ground level and very noisy ; other guests socializing outside our window until 11pm, children yelling in the pool from early morning and no quiet hours since lobby was only open for limited hours. The room and furniture was dated and actually had 2 broken chairs that we asked they remove upon checkin. Multiple lightbulbs were missing and not replaced. Mattress was very thin/uncomfortable, although multiple pillows were provided. Towels were replaced daily in the lobby however, room cleaning service needed to be requested before 3 pm for the next day. Staff was cordial. Free coffee/tea was available in the lobby during daytime hours.

The hotel was clean and weel kept, though older and a mish mash of furniture. A good sized mini fridge with separate freezer and microwave. Plenty of towels and pillows. Room reset daily by housekeeping. A little seating area in the front hallway that looked over the parking lot. AC was a window unit and had a hard time keeping up. Mattresses were worn out, but pillows were ok. A proper drip coffee maker was a plus. Nice and quiet, off the main road. Easy walk to short and long sands beach as well as nubble lighthouse. No breakfast, but coffee offered all day in the lobby. Didn't use the pool or hot tub, but they seemed clean and well kept as well.

The room we stayed in was very nice and a good size too. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. However, the one thing you want when you go away is a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed. Don't stay here if you want that -- the bed in our room was awful, and I suspect the other rooms are probably similar. The mattress was lumpy, super soft, and all worn out, something that should have been replaced 5-10 years ago. I asked the manager to contact me, and I left the message with two separate receptionists, who said the manager would call me. Guess what? He never did. I even said what it was about, but he never called me. I would have stayed here again if they were going to update the bed, but since I doubt they will, I won't stay again. I recommend that if you book this place, you are doing so at your own risk.

There is minimal insulation in the room we were in. We could hear the person above us (we were in #9) going to the bathroom. We could also hear when people were walking above us. The tv was ridiculously small (probably 22"). Hot water took a while to come on.

Both location and staff at Lighthouse made this little getaway special for my husband and I. Located right in between short sands and long sands and walkable to both, the room was large, clean, and had an ocean view. Excellent communication with the staff who had our room ready early for us. :) We definitely recommend!

This is a modest but affordable and very clean resort area Inn. The manager was extremely supportive when we needed to change rooms due to my unexpected mobility issue. We will happily return.

This property was extremely clean. The grounds are well maintained. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Loved that we could walk to most everything. It’s nice that there are still affordable places to stay in York Beach.

The room we stayed in was very nice and a good size too. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. However, the one thing you want when you go away is a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed. Don't stay here if you want that -- the bed in our room was awful, and I suspect the other rooms are probably similar. The mattress was lumpy, super soft, and all worn out, something that should have been replaced 5-10 years ago. I asked the manager to contact me, and I left the message with two separate receptionists, who said the manager would call me. Guess what? He never did. I even said what it was about, but he never called me. I would have stayed here again if they were going to update the bed, but since I doubt they will, I won't stay again. I recommend that if you book this place, you are doing so at your own risk.

Both location and staff at Lighthouse made this little getaway special for my husband and I. Located right in between short sands and long sands and walkable to both, the room was large, clean, and had an ocean view. Excellent communication with the staff who had our room ready early for us. :) We definitely recommend!

This property is an absolute delight. Very clean and comfortable. Front desk staff very friendly. Property is steps away from the beach. Short drive to the Kittery Outlets. Will definitely stay here again.

The location was great, just a short walk to the beach. Area is quiet and safe to walk around. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were super comfy. The heated outdoor pool and the hot tub was an extra bonus. The facility is very well maintained and the staff are great. We were late arrivals but they called me to setup for my arrival. Nothing negative to say about these hardworking people and the most pleasant stay. Also, a very short drive to area towns and restaurants. Would love to go back very soon, it was that good.

Clean inside. The property outside was not magnificent, but that didn’t matter. Being able to walk to Long Beach, Nubble lighthouse, and short beach to shops and dining was awesome. Staff was nice, the stay was very nice!

The location was good for walking to Long Sands beach and driving to everywhere else. The room we stayed in (25) was ground level and very noisy ; other guests socializing outside our window until 11pm, children yelling in the pool from early morning and no quiet hours since lobby was only open for limited hours. The room and furniture was dated and actually had 2 broken chairs that we asked they remove upon checkin. Multiple lightbulbs were missing and not replaced. Mattress was very thin/uncomfortable, although multiple pillows were provided. Towels were replaced daily in the lobby however, room cleaning service needed to be requested before 3 pm for the next day. Staff was cordial. Free coffee/tea was available in the lobby during daytime hours.

The pool and hot tub need to be worked on. We have been going there for 20 years and it’s time! Nothing but coffee offered and the price keeps going up!

My stay was short and I did not need housekeeping services, so I cannot rate that. Otherwise, it was great. All the amenities I like (microwave, fridge, coffee machine, etc.) Very clean room when I arrived -- it even smelled good! Loved the walk to and from Short Sands and the Goldenrod restaurant, as well as to Long Sands.

The hotel was clean and weel kept, though older and a mish mash of furniture. A good sized mini fridge with separate freezer and microwave. Plenty of towels and pillows. Room reset daily by housekeeping. A little seating area in the front hallway that looked over the parking lot. AC was a window unit and had a hard time keeping up. Mattresses were worn out, but pillows were ok. A proper drip coffee maker was a plus. Nice and quiet, off the main road. Easy walk to short and long sands beach as well as nubble lighthouse. No breakfast, but coffee offered all day in the lobby. Didn't use the pool or hot tub, but they seemed clean and well kept as well.

This is a very clean property. The front desk clerk was very friendly. I would rate their platform bed with a very soft mattress as fair but I have back issues where the firmer the mattress the more comfortable I am. The heat is electric and on a timer. It was dry and hot when it came on. We loved the proximity to Long Sands Beach and Route 1 as we meandered down to Kittery and then Portsmouth, N,H. We appreciated the coffee/tea offered in the morning. Thank you!

Window unit air conditioners are old noisy and dirty. Ruined my stay. Could not sleep at night from the sound and could hear the unit upstairs air conditioner also. Will not stay here again! Lobby for coffee does not open until 8 am. This is ridiculously late!

Check-in process was quick and easy mostly because the check in person had zero warmth and there were no pleasantries at all. All business. sign here, initial here. I would have expected some friendliness when checking into a hotel for the first time. When checking in I was not told that my room was in the adjoining building. After you check in, you have to park the car behind the building. I had to carry all my stuff around looking for the room number when I could have just unloaded the car when I checked in fom the 15 min parking spot so I didn't have to lug my bags all the way around the property looking for this room. But there was no communication of that. The hotel itself is in a great location and the room was adequate. Everything was clean. The bed was strange and almost felt like an air mattress. Very soft and you sink right in while the mattress puffs up around you on either side. The room I stayed in had 2 balconies. One was with a sliding screen door and one with a storm door. Neither one of the doors had screens on them. so you could not keep them open to get a breeze w/out letting bugs in. It was too cool to put the AC on, so the air in the room felt stagnant. The bathroom is dated but clean. The water pressure was good and water hot. The pool was not heated and it was FREEZING. The hot tub water was quite murky so we decided to not go in it Lots of yelling in a foreign language and dishes banging from the pvt apartment off the back of my room.

Lovely place for a couples weekend. Well located between 2 beaches on a fairly quiet road. Basic rooms were clean in a building that is older but generally charming. Our room could use a newer carpet on the next upgrade. Linens are nice, beds are comfortable but on the soft side if that matters to you. Able to hear the loud TV from the neighbors one night but otherwise never heard anyone up late or making noise outside.
