We stayed at this location for 4 nights. It’s very clean and comfortable. They have a “Happy Hour” from 6-8pm where you can get popcorn and a free drink. I thought that was very nice! I have to say housekeeping does an excellent job and are very kind! Kudos to the front desk staff as well. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance, Walmart across the street and a nail salon which I appreciated and went to behind the hotel! Excellent place to stay!

Seems to be a hotel for working men. We seemed to be the only family with grandkids there during our stay. Breakfast was adequate. They seemed to have a happy hour thing that we weren't told about. That featured about 12 men at the bar. A nice thing for them.

I stayed for 4 days and not once did house keeping knock and ask if I needed clean sheets or towels, but the day I’m going to check out of the hotel I get a knock on my door and the crack of dawn. Staff did even bother to clean out the pool either. It was slimy the 4 days I stayed there and closed it the last two days. Greenest pool in Portland.

The rooms were pretty dirty. Hair, mold, scum in the shower. The shower floor was filthy. The carpet is pretty gross. The hallway smelled like old, burnt, mac n cheese. The wrought iron around the pool is in really bad shape. The paint is peeling and is all rusty, don't touch it or you'll need a tetanus shot. On the website the hotel says it has a bar... it's only open Mon-Thurs. Lame. Nowhere was that known ahead of time that it'd be closed. Maintenance doesn't come on weekends if your refrigerator is broken. So another amenity that's useless. No one emptied the dog poop trash, it was overflowing with trash. I will definitely not ever stay here again.

Found a bed bug on a pillow, finger/toenails found on the edge of the bottom of the bed, chocolates thrown, and a used cup thrown too. When reported, front desk lady insinuated that we brought the bed bugs. We stayed in the room since there no rooms available and it was late. All she did to make up was give my little one snacks (candy and water). We had to change sheets for both beds since it was late at night and we needed to go to sleep and wake up early. In addition, the lady said "no adjustments since we booked through a third-party (Expedia). Bery dissatisfied and upset since my daughter could been bitten overnight.

2nd time staying here, first time was Excellent. 2nd time not to good, trash at the entrance. Room was dusty in the bathroom and tub not scrub well. Sink and the counter top was sticking. The kleenex box was stuck to the counter. Housekeeper needs to clean behind the night stand.

The hotel and room had a musty smell and the room wasnt very clean. The headboard to the bed had something greasy all over it. I picked that hotel because it had a pool for my gjrls to swim in and ut wasnt even open because they were "cleaning it" i paid over 120.00 for this place. I think some sort of discount should have been given. The water pressure in the shower was terrible. Besides that it was fine. The staff were really nice

I am hopeful that under normal circumstances when Texas isn't facing a winter storm that the hotel is more comfortable. The rooms are clean and well appointed, but it was freezing cold both in the rooms and corridors. The HVAC unit in the room only had cold air regardless of the temperature setting. The hotel is aging but is wearing well.

Had to leave a day early due to a medical emergency. Stayed 2 of 3 nights. Hotel General Manager refused to refund our last night even though we checked out at 7:30AM. We had paid the additional fees for cancellation as well. General Manager refused to return my calls. Front desk blamed it on booking through a 3rd party (Expedia) but Expedia says they would not refund because the Hotel won’t allow. I am still hopeful someone at La Quinta or Expedia will do the right thing, they certainly would if it was their family involved.

I like to stay away from the city it’s less chaotic for me. This hotel was in the perfect area. I went to the Aquarium and Whataburger field and it was only 12 min away. Great scenery of the ocean! Hot breakfast was great. Eggs, sausage, famous Texas waffle plus your continental breakfast. I would stay here again

This was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in a long time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable; I thought the bed was especially comfy. The breakfasts were good and included both hot and cold options. We were very pleased and will be back.

I have to say housekeeping does an excellent job and are very kind! Kudos to the front desk staff as well. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance, Walmart across the street and a nail salon which I appreciated and went to behind the hotel! Excellent place to stay!

We stayed at this location for 4 nights. It’s very clean and comfortable. They have a “Happy Hour” from 6-8pm where you can get popcorn and a free drink. I thought that was very nice! I have to say housekeeping does an excellent job and are very kind! Kudos to the front desk staff as well. The best part about our stay was the staff. I didn’t catch his name, but one desk clerk in particular was very friendly and helpful. The room we had was really nice, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast bar as well. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were pretty dirty. Hair, mold, scum in the shower. The shower floor was filthy. The carpet is pretty gross. The hallway smelled like old, burnt, mac n cheese. The wrought iron around the pool is in really bad shape. The paint is peeling and is all rusty, don't touch it or you'll need a tetanus shot. On the website the hotel says it has a bar... it's only open Mon-Thurs. Lame. Nowhere was that known ahead of time that it'd be closed. Maintenance doesn't come on weekends if your refrigerator is broken. So another amenity that's useless. No one emptied the dog poop trash, it was overflowing with trash. I will definitely not ever stay here again.

Our stay was Amazing our room was extremely clean and smelt nice and sanitized. The sheets were neat along with the bathroom amenities. The beds were plush not hard . the only problem we ran into was there wasn’t enough parking coming back from dinner but the staff were very kinda and quick in helping us find a parking .

I've stayed here once before with family that experience was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and courteous the receptionist actually didn't charge a pet fee for my dog shis is under 10 pounds. No issues, I went again 7/12 there was a new person working there she was very incompetent, at one point she said I'm new here so I don't know how to finish programming the key. Untrained staff in itself is in inconvenience in itself but there was no one on in the office , I told the new person about not being charged before when I stayed previously she dismissed me and said that everyone has to pay it in a very rude tone. So I paid the fee and then she couldn't manage to select the right tender overall I waited 10 mins to get a room key and get checked in. We had to go grab something to eat with my extended family and as Im leaving the property the same new hire came out to flag me down saying that if I was leaving my dog I told her yes that's why I paid the fee. She aggressively told me that I couldn't leave my dog there and it needed to be on a crate. I had a doggy backpack that I put her in but the hassle of having to go back as I'm leaving was unprofessional. Upon leaving for the 2nd time she again addressed me very rudely telling me I needed to sign another paper for my dog so I asked her why didn't you have me do this all when I checked in. She said with a stuck up and rude tone oh well I'm new here so I told her yeah I can tell. I will never stay at this hotel again!!!!!!
