Boarding House Cape May

Ein sehr ansprechendes, im Stil eines typisch amerikanischen Motels neu interpretiert und gestaltetes kleines Hotel. Positiv: - Die Lage ca.10 Min. zu Fuss ins Zentrum ist günstig. Obwohl es an der Haupteinfahrtsstrasse von Cape May liegt, ist es recht ruhig. - Gefällige Einrichtung, die Ferienstimmung erzeugt - Sehr nettes Personal am Empfang - Jeden Nachmittag von 16:00 bis 17:00 Uhr kostenloser Umtrunk und morgens Kaffee an der Reception. Nicht so toll: - Der Buchungsprozess: Nachdem ich bereits im Januar für einige Tage im September auf dieser Seite fest gebucht hatte, bekam ich im Juli eine Email des Hotels, ich solle die 1. Nacht vorausbezahlen, um die Buchung definitiv zu machen. Der Tarif, den das Hotel dazu anwendete, war ca. 10% über dem, was über Hotels.com bestätigt war. Es wurde ein Telefongespräch direkt mit dem Hotel nötig: jegliche Einwände wurden abgeschmettert, ich könne entweder den geforderten Preis bezahlen, oder stornieren. Darüberhinaus wird eine Registrierung online im Voraus verlangt, worauf man den Zugangscode zum Zimmer bekommt. - Restriktive Receptionszeiten von 9 - 17 Uhr; wg. oben erwähnter virtuellen Registrierung aber nicht wirklich problematisch - Das Hotel ist ausgesprochen hundefreundlich. Das führte zu einem starken Geruch in unserem Zimmer. - Durch die leichte Bauweise ist kein Geräusch von den Zimmernachbarn zu überhören - Die Zimmer werden nur bei Aufenthalt ab 4 Nächten 1x gereinigt. Immerhin auf Wunsch täglich frische Handtücher

Friendly staff, clean room, great location- would definitely stay again!

I don't have time but let's just say this. If somebody's coming with a pet don't have them stay in a room that they have to go up a flight of stairs! Also if you're answering the phone and making a phone call ask the person if they can even walk up a flight of stairs for God sakes. Also if the person has never even been to have brochures have everything available don't you say oh you can call me because you're not even there all the time. When the person checks in you have a code but guess what if the person loses their phone they don't know the code to get in their own room that's ridiculous! Sometimes people forget to bring their phone sometimes people leave it somewhere and if that's the case then they can't get in their room did you ever think about that no start thinking and this is the only social media platform I will be responding to I don't have time and I will never go back not only to your place but to Cape May. I have never once in my life couldn't wait to leave what I thought would be a little vacation a break from my life and return to my house. Maybe that will give some others and understanding how this place and Cape May is go to Newport Rhode Island Cape Cod Martha's Vineyard Nantucket Skip Cape May

The Boarding House Hotel was a well cared for property. We loved all the touches around the hotel and in our room. We found the staff to be super kind, informative and helpful. Our dog felt right at home and we found the hotel to be located in a convenient location where we could walk to so many things. We had take out for dinner twice from the Oyster Bay restaurant down the street. They have an awesome espresso martini and burger. We enjoyed the happy hour from 4-5 at the Boarding House. We have booked the suite room for a weekend in October and can’t wait to go back.

The room was very clean, easily accessible and very accommodating to our fur-babies! We’ll definitely be back!
