Great hotel and reasonable prices. Rooms are very small, but beds are comfortable and room was spotless. Starbucks on site and great rooftop patio with great views of the city. Overnight public parking garage available short walking distance should you not wish to use hotel valet service. Staff really friendly and helpful! Thanks for a great stay!

The staff were lovely and very helpful. This location is perfect, not on the exact Gaslamp Quarter street but one street over, giving an option to be close to but away from the noise, and the hotel had a really nice rooftop bar as well.

My room was very nice and the staff was super friendly. I loved the rooftop bar. Only 2 small negatives.. bathroom lighting is totally inadequate and the water coming out of the sink faucet was barely a trickle.

Great place and the staff at the front desk accommodated me when I arrived earlier to leave my luggage, they were the sweetest. Room and restroom were clean, would definitely stay here again.

The hallway and room smelled like sewage. Also the fitted sheet kept coming up anytime we moved. The room was on the 12th floor which we didn’t realize was right below the rooftop bar. We could hear the music all night unfortunately. They should notify guests about this before assigning rooms. We received text messages about our stay and when we shared our experience they asked us how they could make it better which was odd that we had to come up with a resolution. We asked for a discount on our stay and they offered one for that night when we were already checked out. When we told them that, they just apologized and didn’t do anything further.

Our room was dirty. Sock from past guest was left in the room. Dark hairs are in the bed. Leaving the hotel every day it smelled like urine.

Staff was phenomenal, but the property is a street over from all the partying. Ask to not have a room that faces the street. It is loud at all hours….partying and music from 8pm til well After 1am and then at 5am dump and trash trucks begin rolling through. Don’t plan to get any sleep.

Great location. The roof top bar offers a nice view of the city lights. When we made our reservation we reserved a city view room. Well, we got room 309. The room was really claustrophobic and the view we got was like an alley way with the air conditioning system right outside our window. We made the comment to the front desk and they gave us a free breakfast.

Courtyard was great. Locate was maybe too close to scene. All night long bass from autos coming up and down the street like it was contest of who had the biggest woofer and amp. Awful, didn’t sleep at all.

The hotel is ina very convenient place. It’s in the middle of everything. Our room was very small and the window had a view of the wall across from us. Needless to say we kept the curtain closed. I was able to check in early! That was a big plus!!!

The staff was rude and did not care to fix our room door that would not lock. Creating a huge safety issue, when we went up to the front desk and spoke with the staff they were rude and blew us off and said “sure we’ll fix it” they also did not care that the TV was broken.

The old water was very hard to get to work. The water was scolding hot. When i called to ask for help she told me she would get back to me that the engineers were not on site so there wasn't much she could do and she never reached out again. We had reservations so we had to shower with the hot water and go. Till this day she hasn't even asked how it was. Very rude and dismissive

This hotel is easy to get to and from. Appreciated the Extra security with the room key to enter at night. The staff was the friendliest I’ve encountered in all my hotel travels. They are the right balance of friendly, approachable and professional. They definitely went above and beyond my expectations. The room was clean (and I’m picky!), comfortable and family friendly. While we did hear the music that others mentioned in reviews, it wasn’t a big deal and I suppose the tv would have block the music if we wanted, but we didn’t mind at all and it wasn’t more than what I’m used to at other hotels. This hotel felt safe and I look forward to staying here next time in San Diego!

We checked in and had difficulty with Checking in. I Paid for 2 rooms for 2 different people. Had a receipt for the 2 rooms. The desk clerk couldn’t find other reservation. Kept saying it’s under different name. She kept asking for a confirmation number. Finally gave it to her. Then stated oh it’s under a different name. Parking I thought was 65$ for the visit not per day. The key cards needed to be rekeyed couple times.

I chose this hotel because of the convenient location to Petco Park. The Courtyard Marriott is small but the staff is super helpful, it is clean, and it is located by a bunch of restaurants and bars. We used the valet parking and it was worth the $60 because parking in the area is limited. All in all it was a nice overnight stay and I would stay there again.

Hotel was clean and modern. Staff were very friendly. Cons: rooftop bar brings outside traffic in until midnight. The area is very loud. It was hard to sleep due to the loud partying outside. Pros: very nice in the AM. Walkable to the water and had great food options. Tip: request a room that isn't facing the main street, that was out main issue with noise. they have these bike taxis that blast music all night to try and get people to ride in them. Was difficult to find, there are lots of Marriotts in the area. Make sure you have the exact address before heading over.

Valet was 65$, there is no other parking besides pay to park lots downtown that are in the open with homeless people roaming around. We paid for valet for safety. Honestly I don’t think the rates should have been as expensive while under construction. The front ENTRANCE itself was closed and under renovation with tarps everywhere. The bistro was closed due to construction. I do not believe I should be paying 250$ a night 65$ Valet for a basic king room while breakfast is closed/construction and appearance of entire lobby and front entrance and floors of halls are being redone completely. The great thing was location — Gaslamp is dirty and full of homeless (but you expect that now). That was not the issue as we expected that, but the location was great and in walking distance of everything—including right across the street from the club we had tickets to.

I liked the rooftop bar and my room had a great view. Luckily, it was during the week, so noise wasn't a problem. There was a problem with my reservation (my fault) and the staff was very nice about it.

The hotel is simple but clean, and there are very few unpleasant aspects. If I had to say one thing, I would like housekeeping to be done every day. The location is good, and the hotel staff are friendly. Also, I was disappointed that there was no breakfast area.

There was no material in the room explaining the amenities. I still don’t know if there was a continental breakfast ! The ‘ restaurant’ on the roof has a limited menu. No salad. The shower was good..

We thought there was going to be a continental breakfast, but they only had bagels and muffins and coffee and we had to pay for it, and charging us $54 a night to park when you're staying at the hotel I think is a bit ridiculous
