We would 100% stay at the Hyatt Midway again! The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, plus free short term onsite parking is a plus as other hotels charge nearby upwards of $30 even if you're parking for less than 12 hours! We did not get to use the pool or fitness center but they looked very nice and kept up with. The fitness center looked like it had plenty of room and wasnt squished like others i've seen. Its located in the back of a conglomerate of hotel chains, so its quiet in the heart of the airport. The free shuttle was nice too and ran every 15-20 mintues on the hour, very convenient!

Everytbing was great for the Hyatt except 2 things. 1. Their elevator broke on day causing everyone to take the stairs for the ENTIRE weekend. And 2. They charged me incorrectly after an already expensive trip. Not good. Overall that makes the experience 3 out of 5 for me

Elevator wasn’t working all weekend, took 2 days to actually put a sign up saying so. Nobody cleaned our room during our 3 night stay. Would NOT recommend.

We used the airport shuttle to get to a train for downtown Chicago. Around an hour in total but getting back took a little longer. Otherwise good hotel with good local restaurant and shopping, particularly convenient for Midway airport.

I liked the convenience of getting to the airport (24 hour shuttle service every 20 minutes); however, that means you are far from the downtown area. The pool was a little murky but the breakfast was pretty good and the room was great!

The hotel staff was exceptionally they all were helpful, friendly and ready to make my stay fabulous. The only issues we experienced was hair on the bathroom floor, which was hard to see but transferred to our socks and shoes. The refrigerator needed a bit of cleaning otherwise the rest of the room was good.

I would give this property a good review but after finding ticks in my bed I will not. I just did not appreciate finding live Ticks in our bedroom. I did let the front desk know about this , she said she would give me a call today Monday the 18th and I have not heard anything from them. I have photo and video of these ticks in our room #616.

It was very comfortable and cozy until I got ready to go to sleep. My heat was not working. The next day the maintenance man came to fix it but it was still cold once we came from the pool. The racks were not put in correctly in the fridge plus there was a smoothie of some sort left in my fridge from the previous stay. The room was smaller than it looked online.

my bedding was thrown on haphazardly, stain on the top sheet, pillows old and wrapped funny, couchbed was wonky, floor hadnt been vacuumed. I found 2 sharp pieces of broken plastic and food on the floor. there was toilet paper in the bathroom trash. the toilet seat was wet. the free breakfast was inedible it didnt seem cooked all the way through. will never be staying at this location again.

Huge rooms, modern, large TVs, comfortable beds, highly recommend asking for a room with a glass shower that’s their renovated rooms. Small restaurant + Starbucks within hotel. There’s also a few restaurants and stores within walking distance. Check out is at 12 which I loved.

It was clean but the room was freezing and elevators lloked like they were under construction. It was 5 degrees outside and our room wouldn't get above 62 degrees. It was requested multiple times to get it fixed or change rooms.

I really enjoyed the King Suite. The room was spacious and clean. The lobby was nice and the morning breakfast was on par with similar chains. They do have better coffee options which is nice. This will be my preferred hotel while I’m the Chicago - Midway area.

The rooms were very clean and had plenty of space. The blackout blind didn't block out as much light as I was hoping. We could hear noise out in the hall in the morning; I'm not sure if it were guests or the cleaning crew. Overall, an enjoyable stay though- would definitely recommend for anyone flying out of Midway frequently. Also, some our rideshare drivers had a hard time finding the hotel, so just be aware.

Very comfortable couches in the sitting area in the rooms. The frosted glass bathroom door was a little disconcerting though. The rooms are truly soundproof, which is important given how close the hotel is to the airport.

Hotel was convenient to everything we needed to do. Service was excellent, front desk was very attentive. The manager is the mornings was excellent. Our coffee maker was broke and I told her about it, before I could get back to my room they we’re waiting at the door with a new one. Awesome service

Was not happy at checkin - checked in at 10:00 pm after long day of travel and meetings. When I walked in the room they gave me it had clearly not been cleaned - dirty towels in bathroom, unmade bed. I was actually worried I was walking into someone’s room since it was so clear the cleaning service hadn’t touched it. Had to go back down to get another room😡. Manager did call after to make sure all ok but a serious annoyance after a very long day!

The room was clean and the staff was really friendly. One of the hotel lobby hosts stood out to me. Her name was Faith. As an out of towner i had so many questions about where to go and how to get around and she answered them each with such positivity and love for her city. Made me feel a little less home sick thats for sure. All the staff members seem to share that same culture. From the lobby staff , to the cleaning staff , and even the security. It was a pleasant stay thanks to all of them

Extremely disappointing!! I was in Chicago for a meeting and booked a room with 2 queen beds, I got to the hotel to check in and was told they overbooked and had secured a room for me at the Double Tree hotel. This was after talking to them twice on the phone before getting to the hotel. Simple courtesy demands that I should have gotten a call from them rather than been given a letter to take to Double Tree!

We booked this last minute upon reaching O’Hare after a long international trip. We decided to return to west coast the next day-Faith checked us in and was so welcoming and full of personality . Nice big room and comfortable bed.

We made a reservation because of the ADVERTISED free parking and expected to not have trouble parking the car, but the parking lot of not only our hotel but the hotels affiliated and close by were all filled to the brim and we spent nearly an hour trying to find parking. After we finally gave up and parked by the curb behind a whole different hotel, we expressed our concern and troubles to the staff at the front desk expecting absolutely nothing but plain human empathy and they could not even spare a simple apology. Instead, the three ladies in the front stared at us with a blank look and one even rolled her eyes at us expressing our troubles to them. I expected no compensation of any sort, just human sympathy, but lord forbid they care about their paying customers. Everything else in the hotel was fine, just the service and parking situation is absolutely wretched.

Free shuttle to midway airport every 20 minutes 24 hours. Very convenient to get to orange line train or bus. We were able to get to downtown or wherever we wanted to go without needing a car.

We used the airport shuttle to get to a train for downtown Chicago. Around an hour in total but getting back took a little longer. Otherwise good hotel with good local restaurant and shopping, particularly convenient for Midway airport.

The overall stay was okay, I normally book this hotel when I visit Chicago but since the breakfast isn’t complementary anymore I don’t think it’s worth booking.

Nice location and free regular shuttle to airport was great. Pool was small and crowded and breakfast didnt have many options, particularly no waffle maker. Staff was very helpful and room was clean, bit difficult to lock bathroom sliding door.

As expensive as this sysy was, it should have included breakfast. Instead, it was another $11.00 plus tax per day, after spending more than $400/night for a room. This is simply outrageous.

Great breakfast! Fresh made belgian waffes were amazing! We stayed in 2 Hyatt Place in this trip and this one was the best breakfast! Free parking is also something that made us choose this one. We had a great stay!

Aesthetically this hotel was beautiful, clean, new and modern. The Starbucks coffee and bar in the lobby added convenience to our hotel stay in Chicago. The ceramic coffee mugs and glass cups in the room added a nice touch too. Some (but not all) of the towels were so soft and bedding smelled clean. Pillows are great for those who prefer a feather down feel. The pool was a little chilly but also clean, and our 4 kids loved it. Room for improvement: our fan was not working in the bathroom. So it was quite humid in our room after we took showers. We asked for extra towels 3 times before they were finally delivered to our room. But they allowed us to have an extra hour for later check-out due to the inconvenience. There was not a microwave in our room (that’s $20 extra if they bring it to you). But there was one in the lobby to use for free. At check-in they said breakfast was $11 plus tax per person. We had a pretty rough stay. Our TV didn’t work and the door to our bathroom was broken. A few nights in, a horrible smell of feces/sewer aggressively filled the entire hallway on the second floor. We notified the front desk, who advised they sent maintenance but no problem was identified. They were not able to provide a solution that night. The next day they did move us to a different floor. That night, the smell was back. It was so bad it woke us up and we had to place wet towels under the door to try to prevent it from getting worse. After this, we decided to cut our trip short and change to a different hotel. I spoke with the front desk manager who advised she would change my booking and I would not be charged for the nights we wont be there (we pre-paid through a third party booking site). I still have not received any compensation or refund for those nights lost. I would not waste any time or money here.

Friendly and attentive staff. Room was clean , bedding comfortable, breakfast decent. Not your typical international fare. Close to Midway but not too close. Plenty of free parking. 24 hour shuttle.

Couches in our room had dirty tissue covered in hair that wasn't ours. We never had enough pillows and were told by staff they would bring some to the room. They never brought them. There was large party going on that lasted until 4am with people talking loudly and literally running up and down the hall but none of the security guards on staff that night addressed any of those issues.
