The property was clean and the staff was nice. It was very close to the boardwalk and lots of restaurants. There was limited parking. It was expensive and didn’t have the hotel amenities like a pool and gym. There were also lots of stairs.

The Wellington is a gem of a hotel! Within one block of the boardwalk and easy walking distance to lots of good food options. The staff were very friendly and the whole place is immaculately clean. It was also fairly quiet except for road noise (there are not a few cars in the city that need muffler replacements…) and the bed was comfortable. We slept well. There is coffee in the morning but no breakfast so you’ll need to walk to the beach to get something. Our room (a standard double) was tiny—about the size of a dorm room—and had a bed, a nightstand, a chair, and an entertainment center with a tv, refrigerator, and three drawers. No closet and no elevator, so pack light, and note that there are steps to get up to the lobby so if you have a mobility problem this is not the place for you. Very nice shower. Just right for our needs. Could have used some more light blocking at night.

Our stay is always great at the Wellington! The Cleanliness is ☆☆☆☆☆ They have coffee, ice machine inside & room has a decent size small fridge. NO BUGS! Free Parking. Right outside the door is a convenience store w/ reasonable priced items. About 20 steps from your door, you're on the boardwalk. The staff has always been super friendly with us! Housekeeping does not barge in the door (like some reviews say) They come daily & knock, ask if you want beds made etc. They come w/ Towels, Soap, Shampoo, Body Wash & Lotion. They dont rent to anyone under 25 and I don't blame them after being down there during senior week! Its a great place for a Mom & kids or family. When you go to bed its quiet, no parties or screaming etc. It Can be a little pricey but at times it runs lower and to be honest its worth the peace of mind. We are only in our room to shower & sleep so a room w/ fridge & 2 beds is perfect for us. But they do have Apartments. Beds & pillows are amazing, not junk! If you ever had a bad experience here (like some reviews implied) I highly recommend giving them another chance! There is a $200 cash deposit if children are with you. This was the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in at ocean city! We’ve been going several years and have traditionally stay at the same place, we decided to extend our stay this year and ended up at the Wellington - we will most likely continue to stay here from now on! The man at the front desk was friendly, there was fresh coffee, the guests were quiet, and again the hotel was so clean- impressively kept for a hotel at the beach! My only suggestion would be better curtains for the rooms facing the 9th street side because the hotel next to it has bright LED lights- we hung up a couple of clean towels and it worked great! I would absolutely recommend!!

The only thing I will say is parking is difficult. If you have a large truck or nah vehicle that’s a decent size it will be difficult to come and go with the parking situation.

Very clean place, room is small but looks fairly newly restored, bed was comfy, love the rocking chairs on balcony and free parking. Only issue was there was no iron in room…housekeeping will press 1 item for you then you pay $10 for each additional peice (unheard of) boardwalk is step’s away, beer and wine convenience store also steps away

The room was exceptionally clean, which was a surprise considering the value and age of the hotel. I usually stay at Hampton Inns, but since I was only staying for one night, I decided to save some money and opted for the economy room. Surprisingly, it was larger than some double rooms I’ve stayed in the past, and I was very satisfied with the accommodations. If I return to Ocean City, I’ll definitely be staying at the Wellington!

Although this is an older property and the outside is not perfect, inside the rooms is! Our room was absolutely spotless - unbelievably clean and the beds were amazing! It was not fancy, however, right off the boardwalk and could not have asked for a better stay! We plan on staying here again next year!

Booked a last minute trip to OC for July 4th. Wellington was one of the cheaper options. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel location was outstanding, steps from the boardwalk and beach. It’s a older hotel but you can’t tell, they seem to stay in top of keeping it updates. Very clean! Checkin was easy, parking wasn’t a issue. Ice machine and microwave available in the lobby. They even have coffee available in the mornings. We booked the standard room which was very small but we weren’t at OC to hang out in the room. The bed was comfy but little soft for our liking. They have a few different room options to pick from. We were happy we booked this place! We will return…

Absolutely adorable little place, right on the boardwalk. Went down for a music festival, so it was very convenient not to have to drive anywhere for 3 days. The staff is so friendly, always a greeting when you walk through the lobby area. As an AGM of a different hotel I can tell you all the places grime can hide. This place was just about spotless. Very well maintained. Hope we see you again.

The Wellington exceeded our expectations for an inexpensive hotel. It was less than 2 minutes to walk to the beach and boardwalk. The room was updated and clean, but had blinds on the one window and a light outside of it so it was never fully dark. It is also not accessible for anyone who cannot do stairs. That was fine for us, but could be an issue for others. They also have a narrow parking lot so anyone with an oversized vehicle would need to find somewhere else to park The beds were super soft. All of the staff was helpful and friendly. Housekeeping came every day with fresh towels and anything we needed. Great experience overall.
The Wellington exceeded our expectations for an inexpensive hotel. It was less than 2 minutes to walk to the beach and boardwalk. The room was updated and clean, but had blinds on the one window and a light outside of it so it was never fully dark. It is also not accessible for anyone who cannot do stairs. That was fine for us, but could be an issue for others. They also have a narrow parking lot so anyone with an oversized vehicle would need to find somewhere else to park The beds were super soft. All of the staff was helpful and friendly. Housekeeping came every day with fresh towels and anything we needed. Great experience overall.

Clean and a short walk to the beach/boardwalk, but my room was ridiculously tiny – no closet and barely enough room to even sit on the toilet! Room had little insulation from noise or light, though I didn't have noise problems when I was there. Door has no peephole and only a simple pushbutton lock. And no mirror over the bathroom sink - makes it hard to shave!

The hotel is nice and close to every things. The room I check in is small just enough for 2 person without any space ( I pay for a cheap room 1 double bed ). The internet is none (zero) but compare to other hotel. This hotel is super clean and staff is excellent. I will come back for sure. Thank you.

The bed was comfy. The shower was hot with good pressure. The room was quiet and the a/c worked well. They also gave tons of towels. What more could one ask for? If you’re looking for a 5 star property, this isn’t the place for you. We stayed. 3 nights for a music festival. While all the lodging in the area was ridiculously expensive, this place was more affordable than most and in close proximity to the festival. I’m sure the price is reasonable when there’s no special event in town. The room met our needs just fine, and the front desk staff was always friendly! Of note, the full size beds are just that. They aren’t queens. We stayed in a room with 2 beds because we’re used to sharing a king size bed and like our space.

Check in wasn’t very friendly, clerk very sarcastic and we know the room occupancy was maximum of 4 we were 3 do she charged 25 extra for 3rd person and when asked for pool she said “the sea open 24/7 and laughed, then she said whenever you book a room read amenities!!

We didn’t stay there because the owner, was completely rude to my wife. We question an extra fee for children and he didn’t like me questioning him. Took our credit card after we decided to move forward… with his additional fee included. He then“declined” us and told us he would not let us stay there. Wow! We had to get Expedia and Ocean City Police involved to get our money back because he charged us for a stay we didn’t get to use. All worked out as we found a better place on the boardwalk. I DO NOT recommend this establishment.

We booked a room for the Country Calling concert weekend. Prices were definitely increased for the weekend which is fine. The issue was they charged you $50 cash to check in early. That was a bit much. The owner was definitely taking advantage of its guests. With all the hotels in the area because of this I would not stay here again. Bad form Wellington.

Absolutely adorable little place, right on the boardwalk. Went down for a music festival, so it was very convenient not to have to drive anywhere for 3 days. The staff is so friendly, always a greeting when you walk through the lobby area. As an AGM of a different hotel I can tell you all the places grime can hide. This place was just about spotless. Very well maintained. Hope we see you again.

The Wellington is a gem of a hotel! Within one block of the boardwalk and easy walking distance to lots of good food options. The staff were very friendly and the whole place is immaculately clean. It was also fairly quiet except for road noise (there are not a few cars in the city that need muffler replacements…) and the bed was comfortable. We slept well. There is coffee in the morning but no breakfast so you’ll need to walk to the beach to get something. Our room (a standard double) was tiny—about the size of a dorm room—and had a bed, a nightstand, a chair, and an entertainment center with a tv, refrigerator, and three drawers. No closet and no elevator, so pack light, and note that there are steps to get up to the lobby so if you have a mobility problem this is not the place for you. Very nice shower. Just right for our needs. Could have used some more light blocking at night.

We just took an over night trip for the White Marlin Open. We've stayed here in the past. This trip we had a room on the front of the building. It was noisier than we are used to and to no fault of the hotel. People revving their engines and the exhausts. Otherwise, our room was adequate, clean, and the ac worked. We'd stay there again without hesitation.

We loved the clean room which was simple and perfect the two of us enjoying the beach for one last long weekend before summer ended. We had a small view of the beach from outside of our room but access to it was fast and easy. The boardwalk food options were too convenient.

We stayed here for the Country Calling concert in Oct. The location wasn't to far from the Pier, lots of dining options and shopping. The beach was also easy to access. The room was clean and appeared to be recently updated. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again.

Staff was helpful and polite even when we arrived at 3am from a late check in due to flights as they have 24 hour front desk service. Room was very neat and tidy and well stocked with shower towels. Shampoos and soaps are very basic and could be a bit better quality but they did the job. Simple basic layout of building and it Felt safe and secure. Great pub across the street called Bird Dog tavern for end of day dancing and music and they had excellent service. The walls are not soundproofed so noise from adjoining rooms could be an issue if you are a light sleeper, but after a long festival day capped with some pub time we didn't notice it much more than morning routine noises. Will definitely stay here again if coming back to Ocean City.

They have no breakfast not even continental there’s no elevator there’s no public restroom in the public areas They charge nearly $700 a night and then when they arrived because we didn’t list the kids on the reservation they charged us $20 per child per night in addition like they were pets the guy at the front counter was rude and snooty is clearly a $75 a night hotel room they have no guest laundry If you’re desperate and just looking for a room, this is the place for you

This was the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in at ocean city! We’ve been going several years and have traditionally stay at the same place, we decided to extend our stay this year and ended up at the Wellington - we will most likely continue to stay here from now on! The man at the front desk was friendly, there was fresh coffee, the guests were quiet, and again the hotel was so clean- impressively kept for a hotel at the beach! My only suggestion would be better curtains for the rooms facing the 9th street side because the hotel next to it has bright LED lights- we hung up a couple of clean towels and it worked great! I would absolutely recommend!!

The property was a hop, skip, and a jump to the beach and Boardwalk. Also, there is free parking on site, which was very convenient too. The staff was very pleasant and the rooms were very clean and beds were quite comfortable. They have free coffee in the morning from 6-11 am and an ice machine. Honestly, if you are looking for an affordable way to travel to OCMD during peak season, this is the place to stay.

Great location and easy to get to the beach. . I was at the very top and doors are outside so had to walk 3 flights up but it was a nice view of the beach. Never went inside except the lobby to get ice. Only complaint was it was hot and the AC would autocorrect and go back to 77. I had a fan which helped. Would definitely stay here again!
