This property is located in an area where many old, beautiful homes are being restored, but it is also about a half mile from what appeared to be a soup kitchen. The town appears to have somewhat of a homeless problem, but it would probably be safe enough during the day. This is a residential area with no restaurant, so you'll need a car. My two biggest disappointments with this property were that there was no breakfast and no staff. It could be a great bed & breakfast, and maybe that is the ultimate goal, but it seems like they got it barely finished enough to rent out some rooms to finance the rest of the project. That's okay, but it is reflected in my rating. It is not a five-star yet. The furnishings appear to be a mish-mash collection with no cohesive decor theme. I'm not picky, but I booked an inn with the expectation that it would be a step above a hotel. There was no one to greet us. The doors were locked, and we had not received an email giving us check-in instructions. When I called, I had to leave a voicemail. A lady called me back promptly and apologized for not having sent check-in instructions. I understand mistakes happen, but even when we got inside, the place didn't have a welcoming feel. She upgraded us to a large suite, which was nice, but we didn't need the extra bedroom with twin beds, there were no comfy chairs to sit in to watch TV, we had to crawl on the floor to plug in our charging cables, and the hot tub was not functioning.

Great communication regarding check-in and codes to enter the property and room. Easy entry/exit, everything was clean, comfortable bed and nicely decorated room (Vista). It was quiet and charming. Some extra curricular next door woke me up at 2am but I was able to get back to sleep thanks to the blackout curtains and comfortable bed. Parking was easy in the front and rear of the building. Would stay again…close to all things I was in town to see/do.

Exceptionally clean; nice quiet spot in the heart of town, close to everything. Easy parking on street or in back. Large room, but sparsely furnished - no work desk, sofa, or comfortable chair. Bed very comfortable and inn is quiet. Bathroom was large and all new with fancy fixtures, but we had trouble finding hot water and then adjusting same. Super nice towels. Inn responds to texts promptly but we had no luck having phone answered leading up to stay. There is no attendant on site but that was not an issue at all. Common areas downstairs were nice and spacious with coffee, tea, water, microwave available. A nice break from typical chain hotels.

It was a great room in a turn-key process with nice ambiance and very well kept. It is grand space with large room and decorated handsomely. The common space very nice and plentt of seats and table access; coffee/tea/water service as well as microwave and refrigerator.

Our room was cute and spacious. The bed was super comfortable. The temperature control unit was also excellent. We also liked bejng able to fill our water bottles from the water cooler. We would stay here again.

This is a beautiful Inn in the heart of Columbia, SC. The location is convenient to downtown. It was clean, the bed super comfy and a lovely room and home. I'd definitely stay here again.

1425 Inn was nothing less than absolutely lovely. It is quiet, comfortable, and clean. My questions upon arrival were all answered and I felt very welcomed there. I highly recommend it!

The end is absolutely gorgeous. My room was very clean, but there was no staff or service. I got a text when I got there with a code to get in the front door and I got another text to get into my room. There is no reception area or person you’re pretty much on your own. I thought it was a bed-and-breakfast, but we weren’t told about any breakfast and there was nothing in my room telling me about any breakfast or hours it would be served very strange. It was a little strange, but all I really needed was a nice shower and some sleep so it was perfect for this occasion, I was not able to order dinner however because the driver would’ve not been able to get inside the building

Overall the the stay was awesome. Nice selection of complimentary coffee and adult beverages. Only hiccup with the stay was I never got the access code information to get into the property and into my individual room.

Outstanding & I will be back. Very quiet & classy. Two negative comments: I was not advised what the name of my room was. I had to enter the code on two rooms before I found mine. Wi-Fi was very slow & I opted for wi-fi on my iPhone.

This property is located in an area where many old, beautiful homes are being restored, but it is also about a half mile from what appeared to be a soup kitchen. The town appears to have somewhat of a homeless problem, but it would probably be safe enough during the day. This is a residential area with no restaurant, so you'll need a car. My two biggest disappointments with this property were that there was no breakfast and no staff. It could be a great bed & breakfast, and maybe that is the ultimate goal, but it seems like they got it barely finished enough to rent out some rooms to finance the rest of the project. That's okay, but it is reflected in my rating. It is not a five-star yet. The furnishings appear to be a mish-mash collection with no cohesive decor theme. I'm not picky, but I booked an inn with the expectation that it would be a step above a hotel. There was no one to greet us. The doors were locked, and we had not received an email giving us check-in instructions. When I called, I had to leave a voicemail. A lady called me back promptly and apologized for not having sent check-in instructions. I understand mistakes happen, but even when we got inside, the place didn't have a welcoming feel. She upgraded us to a large suite, which was nice, but we didn't need the extra bedroom with twin beds, there were no comfy chairs to sit in to watch TV, we had to crawl on the floor to plug in our charging cables, and the hot tub was not functioning.

Great communication regarding check-in and codes to enter the property and room. Easy entry/exit, everything was clean, comfortable bed and nicely decorated room (Vista). It was quiet and charming. Some extra curricular next door woke me up at 2am but I was able to get back to sleep thanks to the blackout curtains and comfortable bed. Parking was easy in the front and rear of the building. Would stay again…close to all things I was in town to see/do.

Exceptionally clean; nice quiet spot in the heart of town, close to everything. Easy parking on street or in back. Large room, but sparsely furnished - no work desk, sofa, or comfortable chair. Bed very comfortable and inn is quiet. Bathroom was large and all new with fancy fixtures, but we had trouble finding hot water and then adjusting same. Super nice towels. Inn responds to texts promptly but we had no luck having phone answered leading up to stay. There is no attendant on site but that was not an issue at all. Common areas downstairs were nice and spacious with coffee, tea, water, microwave available. A nice break from typical chain hotels.

This is a beautiful Inn in the heart of Columbia, SC. The location is convenient to downtown. It was clean, the bed super comfy and a lovely room and home. I'd definitely stay here again.

The end is absolutely gorgeous. My room was very clean, but there was no staff or service. I got a text when I got there with a code to get in the front door and I got another text to get into my room. There is no reception area or person you’re pretty much on your own. I thought it was a bed-and-breakfast, but we weren’t told about any breakfast and there was nothing in my room telling me about any breakfast or hours it would be served very strange. It was a little strange, but all I really needed was a nice shower and some sleep so it was perfect for this occasion, I was not able to order dinner however because the driver would’ve not been able to get inside the building

Overall the the stay was awesome. Nice selection of complimentary coffee and adult beverages. Only hiccup with the stay was I never got the access code information to get into the property and into my individual room.

It was a great room in a turn-key process with nice ambiance and very well kept. It is grand space with large room and decorated handsomely. The common space very nice and plentt of seats and table access; coffee/tea/water service as well as microwave and refrigerator.

This property was great! Very quiet and beautifully decorated. My only complaint is it took an extreme amount of time for the water to get hot! A very long time... Also, if you're thinking this is a bed and breakfast like I was, it's not. There was no breakfast. I will own that it may have been my mistake in thinking it was a bed and breakfast. There was, however, coffee, tea, and water available.

This is a beautiful inn. The rooms were very accommodating and comfortable. Such a very nice simple elegance in the furnishings. My questions were answered promptly and the responses were helpful. Very unique for us. Perfect location We were in town for our grandsons football game so it was great selection. Only complaint was TV options to watch additional football games while there but we managed. Would stay again!!

My wife and I stayed here when bringing our son the USC. King Bed was comforable, large room and large shower. It was nice and quiet. Curbside parking and rear off street parking. Charming house made into a hotel. Nice place to stay good price point!
