Beds were super comfortable and the room just got a fireplace. Great location and easy to get to. Large park a block from hotel with antique gazebo. A great stay in Richfield Springs.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and more spacious than I had expected. Modern/updated bathroom amenities (toilet, sink, shower) and television (with hulu/netflix/etc). Front desk is virtual so the only employees I saw were the cleaning staff on Sat/Sun morning. Rooms don't have central heating, so I wish I had known that portable room heaters would be on a first-come, first-served basis huddled around the (empty) front desk. By the time I got back each night, they were out of heaters so I had no idea that was even an option until the morning I checked out. The hotel is next to a church so there is a large parking lot across the street that hotel guests also used as overflow. The living, dining, and sitting rooms were straight out of a winter hallmark movie. Very darling and cozy environment. Tired Tired Sea coded, iykyk. The scenery is BEAUTIFUL. Really enjoyed staying here and would gladly stay here again. Just a small tip for the town itself: the McDonalds in town couldn't handle more than two orders at a time; took me 25 minutes to get my order in drive-thru when I was the third car in line. No other national chains available.

We had a really nice room with a new fire[lace set up for gas heat. Location was perfect and easy to find, many attractions in town with a beautiful park in the center. The manager was very friendly and helpful, carried our bags and gave us directions to the restraints, The beds were comfortable and every thing was really clean. .

This review is for mothers and families..... I'm a mom with a dog and we travel a lot! This hotel has SO much history! You can feel it when you walk in the door! I could picture Oleson's mercantile and ladies in dresses. Don't expect a resort or the Holiday Inn. The air conditioner was LOUD but we needed it! The hard wood floors are beautiful! Our queen room only had room for my husband and I and the big dog. There is NOT room for a portable crib! It's tight, but again, nice. There is NO breakfast, but there is coffee. Ask for extra towels early. You may need an extra pillow too. Bring toiletries. The towels are perfect. Yes the key is hanging on the wall, but don't freak out. Even though the front door of the hotel is unlocked, the town is SO quiet. We never really saw anyone. There is a huge refrigerator. No freezer. No ice machine. The dining room is huge. Buy take out and eat in the dining room. A baseball team could rent out the place and easily eat meals in the dining room. It took us 25 minutes to get to Cooperstown. There appears to be another part of the hotel behind it, but we were in the main building. We would definitely stay here again. They let the dog stay. That is a huge plus for us! Roku TV that certainly met our needs for a few nights. The price was right too!

Even though it’s called The Baseball Hotel it does not have ANYTHING related to baseball. Has a musty smell and everyone has to share a single fridge from the 1950s.

Property upgrade with gas fireplaces in the building and some rooms, very nice touch and beautiful surrounding glow of radiant heat. Needed extra pillow and it was there in 5 minutes. Check in went well, it was very easy. We would stay again.

Front desk staff was great and very helpful finding us a restaurant nearby they thought we would like. Room was very clean and super fast internet was great for streaming. The woman doing the checking in grabbed our bags and carried them straight to our room nobody does that anymore! Great room for us, No Complaints whatsoever.

I know the local area well and this hotel is the most reasonably priced in this area. Very clean and the staff is exceptional. Our bags were carried to our room without asking for help. They accept pets which is hard to find. There is a large dining room that can be used for meetings or banquets. Highly recommend.

Let me preface this review with this. We were booked for 2 nights at this "hotel" but wound up only staying one, and paying $400 to go stay at an actual hotel the second night, because of how uncomfortable we felt. The whole area around this property is seemingly condemned or abandoned houses. The walkway is unstable. There was a leak from the second floor into the living room walkway area. The pillows provided were paper thin, and there were stains on them. The towels looked old and had stains on them. The shower head barely worked and spewed water everywhere out of the connection point. Overall the building seems to have no maintenance completed in quite some time, if not decades. Cheap is one thing, unsafe is another thing all together.

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in my life including some very sketchy ones. This was the absolute worse one I’ve seen in my life. It was filthy and it was like going upstairs to the attic in an old house. We did not stay. I’m shocked that hotels.com lets this stay on their platform. If this was built to be a hotel, it was one built decades ago and never updated. I would like someone from hotels.com to contact me. I have pictures of the room I took before we left. The bathroom was like a utility closet. The windows look like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. (Even though this was the ground floor.). I know this was not refundable but this was a complete rip off.

Feeling pretty disappointed having spent over $250 a night for the hall of fame weekend. The tv didn’t work, the room was very tight and hard to comfortably set up in, and there was never anyone around to ask for information about town or anything. The hotel is clearly very old, which could have some charm to it but it also smelled very old and musty. We are not picky about places we have stayed (both have lived in tents in the military), but this stay just wasn’t very comfortable at all.

Place still smelled musty. Based on locals site used to be a nursing home. Even though it is called Baseball Hotel I only saw 4 of someone’s junior trophies. Window air conditioner was too loud. Rattled whenever it kick on. It was also only 1 ft from the bed blew right on it.

Attractive old Adirondack building, but the rooms are small for the price, and they don’t serve breakfast. Very convenient for the Glimmerglass festival.

We were pleased with the hotel room, only a short distance to Cooperstown. The room was very comfortable and clean. The woman who checked us in carried all our luggage to our room without hesitation. The room was a little small but very cozy. Plenty of towels and blankets provided and the bathroom was very clean. We were very comfortable and they had everything we needed. 5 stars all the way.

it was an old hotel and the likes we have never stayed in because of its age. But it had a unique charm to it, The room was fine and the beds comfortable. This was not HOTEL EXPERIENCE. It was like a B&B (Vrbo) without the Breakfast. More like a summer camp or hostel experience. There was NEVER NEVER ANYONE AT THE FRONT DESK. TO CHECK IN, I had to call a number and someone told me the key was on a hook beside the door- NOT HOTEL LIKE. The room was like a dormitory or summer camp room. It was just 3 queen beds stuffed into a small hotel sized room, no place to sit except on the beds or small desk with a chair. The bathroom was small with a small shower without a shower head. In addition, the “hotel” pictures on Hotel.com show a Lake Front area, therefore I was misled into thinking it was on a LAKE. Which it isn’t on or near a lake. There was supposed to be a restaurant and there was a menu on the front desk. However, the restaurant was never open and no staff ever seen. Because of all these experiences, ITherefore, I would like to have all my money refunded. If this situation is not rectified to my satisfaction I will assume that Hotels.com endorses this type of business practices. Therefore, I will not use Hotels.com again.

Front desk staff was great and very helpful finding us a restaurant nearby they thought we would like. Room was very clean and super fast internet was great for streaming. The woman doing the checking in grabbed our bags and carried them straight to our room nobody does that anymore! Great room for us, No Complaints whatsoever.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, They recommended some excellent dining options that turned out to be fabulous. Center of town was only one block away. We had to call front desk since the tv was so new we had no idea how to operate it. They came in a minute and spent a good half hour teaching us how to operate it. We had a nice room with no complaints!!

Wonderful room, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities. My car would not start in the morning and a man doing laundry gladly gave the car a jump and it started right up. Kudos to the staff at the hotel for their help.This is one the best hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time.

I know the local area well and this hotel is the most reasonably priced in this area. Very clean and the staff is exceptional. Our bags were carried to our room without asking for help. They accept pets which is hard to find. There is a large dining room that can be used for meetings or banquets. Highly recommend.

Everything very dated doors do not lock unless you’re in the room minimal insulation and walls so you can hear conversations you can hear dogs walking in the hallway and through the ceiling. Our room was like the Willy Wonka grandparents room or the bed healed healed a toe Would not stay there again.

Charming Hotel and steps from the heart of town. Beautiful location, nice room with new beds and linens and daily service. TV service worked properly, needed to change remote, otherwise, the stay was so comforting and peaceful. The staff here are amazingly helpful and not over bearing. Stay here.

Surrounding neighborhood is run down but quiet. Very friendly staff at hotel and an old fashion homey feel. The town is nice and 20 minutes away from Cooperstown ballpark. Overall it was a nice atmosphere and nice place to stay😊

Only 20 minutes to the Baseball Hall of Fame with one red light. Mattress and box spring have been updated and provided an excellent nights sleep. We had a pet and could not beat the price and found this hotel on our way to Cooperstown. We did have to change the batteries on the remote but they had them available. This was a great find in a quiet area, very nice staff and close to stores, restaurants and points of interest. Thank you for all the memories!

The room is exceptionally clean and smells fresh and the fire in the fireplace was setting a glow off in the whole dining room. Everything was very walkable to all that is in Richfield Springs. Hotel is centrally located and located close by multiple cut shops, good food and a beautiful park, Definitely recommend.

We were asked to go instead to the ”Lakehouse” Very Unique, nostalgic property. Room itself was very small and outdated but was okay. Restaurant on property was good. Nice staff and very accommodating.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating; however, facilities were dusty, room was tiny, and the bathroom was barely large enough to turn around in. Also, because of the name of the hotel, we were expecting more of a baseball vibe, which was definitely not evident. There also was no breakfast (not even coffee), as advertised.

Lovely property right on the lake. The staff in the office, restaurant and bar were all very friendly! On the water and very accessible to town. The location is ideal, and we enjoyed the bar. The room was comfortable and clean! We will definitely be back!

This review is for mothers and families..... I'm a mom with a dog and we travel a lot! This hotel has SO much history! You can feel it when you walk in the door! I could picture Oleson's mercantile and ladies in dresses. Don't expect a resort or the Holiday Inn. The air conditioner was LOUD but we needed it! The hard wood floors are beautiful! Our queen room only had room for my husband and I and the big dog. There is NOT room for a portable crib! It's tight, but again, nice. There is NO breakfast, but there is coffee. Ask for extra towels early. You may need an extra pillow too. Bring toiletries. The towels are perfect. Yes the key is hanging on the wall, but don't freak out. Even though the front door of the hotel is unlocked, the town is SO quiet. We never really saw anyone. There is a huge refrigerator. No freezer. No ice machine. The dining room is huge. Buy take out and eat in the dining room. A baseball team could rent out the place and easily eat meals in the dining room. It took us 25 minutes to get to Cooperstown. There appears to be another part of the hotel behind it, but we were in the main building. We would definitely stay here again. They let the dog stay. That is a huge plus for us! Roku TV that certainly met our needs for a few nights. The price was right too!

The place was apparently a Jewish men's bath house at one time which is OK, but the building is OLD. Don't be fooled by promise of free breakfast. Nothing is offered or even available including coffee. The location is best described as grungy; the street and immediate area are not maintained or attractive in any sense. What looks to be a vacant building is in back. The room and bathroom are small. No place to set items as the sink rim is narrow and there's no shelf. If I didn't arrive late and wasn't so tired I would have left but there's few other places in this area. The only redeeming quality is a nearby diner that serves a great breakfast.

This place is very run down, or perhaps was never in good shape in the first place. The pictures on the website are not accurate. It presents itself as homey, maybe a bit quirky. But it just looks like someone hit up a bunch or garage sales and decorated it with random stuff no one wanted. The staff person who was there when we arrived was friendly and helpful. That was the last staff person we saw. When we left, no one was around. I will say that it was clean and the beds were comfortable. It's fine if you are desperate and have no other options. If you have options, take them. Also, this place has nothing to do with baseball.

We stayed here during Hall of Fame Weekend. Hotel is 20 minutes from Cooperstown. Street is quiet. No front desk staff, you call a number, they tell you your room letter and there is a key hanging on the door. Room was small but clean. Bathroom only had a shower, no tub, and only had 2 big towels and 1 small one. We only saw a couple people that worked there, they were nice enough. There's a fridge in the dining room if you trust people not to eat your food (none in the room). Internet connection is very spotty. The tv in our room had a Roku player hooked up. The bed was very soft. There is a garden area with a fire pit for guest use. Parking is at a premium. Overall, it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't terrific either.
