We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Room was clean and inviting. Because it is a historic building, there is only one bathroom that services all guests on the second floor (you just need to be aware of that). Owner was a gracious host and we enjoyed visiting with her and other guests. Would definitely stay there again. It is a nice change from a standard hotel.

Got in late , easy entry. Nice shower , very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast and conversation with proprietor. She text me after I left , showing me my watch charger I had left . And easily retrieved after our train ride , which is 5 minutes away.

If you’re looking for a posh, 5-star hotel, this is not that. It’s old and quirky. Everything is creaky and out of square. You park at the pot dispensary next door. You share a hallway bathroom with 6-7 other rooms. There’s no check-in counter. There are no restaurants in town (have to drive to Georgetown) But if none of these are show-stoppers for you, the Windsor is pretty cool. Every question I had was answered almost instantly via text. There were fresh breakfast burritos and coffee awaiting every morning. The rooms were clean and functional. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with what you might need. The owner was friendly and helpful, the couple times we crossed paths. There were extra blankets, slippers, and other amenities available for you to use during your stay. The town is super cute, and there’s a cool trail up into the hills overlooking the town a couple blocks from the hotel. A couple friendly neighborhood dogs would greet me when a came and left. It’s not for everyone, but if it’s for you, I imagine you’ll love it.

Stopped here during a snowstorm when pulled off the highway - a nice find! This is gem of a place in a beautiful location, and provided us what we needed. With self-check in, and our late arrival during a storm, we never saw anyone at all. Shared bathroom is clean, bed was comfortable, and morning provided muffins and beverages in lounge. We were grateful.

Our stay at Windsor was absolutely lovely. It's a 140 year old building so you should expect luxury. We would stay here over a new hotel any day though! The owner is super cool and chatted with us over breakfast. And by the way, the breakfast is much better (homemade) than most basic hotel breakfasts. The bathroom and shower room are both shared, but there are not too many guests so we didn't have a problem using them when we needed. We had to share a full bed which was the only downside, but some of the 140 year old rooms are tiny so that's all that could fit! For one night it's not a big deal. We would absolutely stay here again for all the character this B&B provides!

Stayed in the single bedroom. Everything was very simple and “homey”. Felt like I was staying at someone’s house. The bathroom is shared with others but I had no issues. The host made some delicious burritos for breakfast in the morning! Obviously it’s not a luxurious stay, but it is worth it if you are skiing and just want to be close to the mountain. Be prepared to have a plan for food as there aren’t many restaurants around.

Quaint hotel and rooms. Definitely showed it's age. Walls are thin so definitely made use of the fan to drown out the noisy neighbor. Odd setup for the bathroom but kind of expected for this old of a hotel. Nice, quiet lil town.

Very unique stay! Hotel is definitely old, but is well taken care of. All floors are very un-level, but that added to the character of the old building. Bed was soft, but we slept fine. Beautiful setting right in the mountains!

Had to find another place stay - wife did not feel safe as the padlock didn’t line up with the door sill and there were cracks in the wall, ceiling. There is a difference between “historic” and “I feel like I’m going to be murdered, this is so dilapidated”

The house is over 140 years old. Its leaning however the owner has made every effort to make it comfortable and cozy. Tiny details everywhere to make your stay comfortable. The bed was comfortable. We were initially surprised and cautious but we had a restfull quiet night. Kudos to Lauren to make this hotel a great option

Great atmosphere I love the idea of the old timey house it was great other than the fact that it's an actual old house and the bedroom was freezing all night long with the heater on high other than that great place fun definitely full communal though that didn't bother me any! Thanks for the stay

An amazingly old hotel built in late 1800s and it feels like it!! Original wooden boards at the entry. The house is on a lean and even the staircase is on a tilt. Very unique, but expected for an almost 150 year old home. Home creaks like a ghost may be around the corner. A real neat experience. The quiet hours are real. I got “shhhhh’d” right after 10 and was just talking with son. I hope it was not the creaky floors. You gotta walk to bathroom!

The house is over 140 years old. Its leaning however the owner has made every effort to make it comfortable and cozy. Tiny details everywhere to make your stay comfortable. The bed was comfortable. We were initially surprised and cautious but we had a restfull quiet night. Kudos to Lauren to make this hotel a great option

Got in late , easy entry. Nice shower , very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast and conversation with proprietor. She text me after I left , showing me my watch charger I had left . And easily retrieved after our train ride , which is 5 minutes away.

Super cool and historic property! Place was warm and cozy with an amazing historic and friendly vibe! Lauren is just lovely and her story of the bldg is super sweet. I arrived after dark but easily navigated my way around. Lauren was also available by phone to answer a few questions. Breakfast was yummy with many great options! My only request...eliminate bacon. Pigs are very intelligent animals with feelings of pain, joy and community. :-)

If you’re looking for a posh, 5-star hotel, this is not that. It’s old and quirky. Everything is creaky and out of square. You park at the pot dispensary next door. You share a hallway bathroom with 6-7 other rooms. There’s no check-in counter. There are no restaurants in town (have to drive to Georgetown) But if none of these are show-stoppers for you, the Windsor is pretty cool. Every question I had was answered almost instantly via text. There were fresh breakfast burritos and coffee awaiting every morning. The rooms were clean and functional. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with what you might need. The owner was friendly and helpful, the couple times we crossed paths. There were extra blankets, slippers, and other amenities available for you to use during your stay. The town is super cute, and there’s a cool trail up into the hills overlooking the town a couple blocks from the hotel. A couple friendly neighborhood dogs would greet me when a came and left. My stay in this historic hotel was perfect. Being in this historic hotel and town with all the stories made the stay even better. The owner/proprietor made me feel at home. We had great homemade cookies, muffins, and breakfast burritos. Her knowledge of the hotel history and who had stayed there in the past was incredible. Such as Edison and Tesla as past guests. I plan to stay again whenever I’m in the area. Next time will be a longer stay. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I needed a last minute late night hotel close to Mount Bierstadt so I can claim it the next morning. This worked out perfect. I got up at 3:00 and there was coffee, tea and food in the breakfast area so I was able to get fueled up and ready for the climb. It was Great!

Stopped here during a snowstorm when pulled off the highway - a nice find! This is gem of a place in a beautiful location, and provided us what we needed. With self-check in, and our late arrival during a storm, we never saw anyone at all. Shared bathroom is clean, bed was comfortable, and morning provided muffins and beverages in lounge. We were grateful.

Beautiful! Love the food, atmosphere and cozy room. There is also a trail to hike up within walking distance. Leads to an old mine/mining area! The bed was very comfy. We stayed in room 6. Walking around the town was also very fun.

Such a little gem in the mountains! I saw a show at Red Rocks and didn't want to stay the right next to the venue. I found this wonderful little place just a 1/2 hour down the road, closer to where I'm living. Would highly recommend

Stayed in the single bedroom. Everything was very simple and “homey”. Felt like I was staying at someone’s house. The bathroom is shared with others but I had no issues. The host made some delicious burritos for breakfast in the morning! Obviously it’s not a luxurious stay, but it is worth it if you are skiing and just want to be close to the mountain. Be prepared to have a plan for food as there aren’t many restaurants around.

Great stay fresh out of history, creaky floors slanted hallways, felt like a haunted house with lots of friendly ghosts! Great hostess who was friendly and full of information and made fresh pumpkin muffins and burritos for breakfast. I cant wait to go back to stay in another turn of the century room!

Our stay at Windsor was absolutely lovely. It's a 140 year old building so you should expect luxury. We would stay here over a new hotel any day though! The owner is super cool and chatted with us over breakfast. And by the way, the breakfast is much better (homemade) than most basic hotel breakfasts. The bathroom and shower room are both shared, but there are not too many guests so we didn't have a problem using them when we needed. We had to share a full bed which was the only downside, but some of the 140 year old rooms are tiny so that's all that could fit! For one night it's not a big deal. We would absolutely stay here again for all the character this B&B provides!

The breakfast options were great. Frozen, fresh, and ready to eat items. A good variey of coffee and tea. I am allergic to wheat and the host even left me a delicious, crust-free quiche. The room was clean and cozy with a comfortable bed. Wonderful clawfoot- tub with great shampoo, conditioner, and shower wash. A couple things to keep in mind if you choose to stay here. It has a shared bathroom, however the toilet room and shower/tub room are separate. We never had to wait. Also, if you require a C-pap machine, there is no grounded plug near the bed, at least in the room we were in (rm# 2). It was a lovely, historic hotel. I absolutely loved it and would stay again in a minute!

Friendly helpful staff and exactly as advertised. It's an experience in an old, crooked, creeky, cracked, historic building that we really enjoyed for a night. Help yourself coffee, tea, snacks and breakfast items 24/7 in the lounge was nice and convenient. Shared bath and toilet rooms were clean, well provisioned, and no problem at all.
