This place is beautiful and amazing! The room was clean and the beds were so cozy. The front office staff and restaurant employees were tremendously friendly and accommadating. The grounds are well maintained, nicely groomed and clean. The recreation center was perfect for the rainy day outside. Lastly, the restaurant menu and food were exceptional! Our stay was absolutely, thoroughly enjoyed!!!

Room in the stable suites so do nice and spacious.Bathtub was huge! Room didn't smell the best. Door to room doesn't lock automatically. All staff members we interacted with were amazing. Gift shop seemed a bit too pricy.

We chose this on our way to tour Kenyon College. The grounds are large and the castle is really interesting. Great breakfast at the Copper Mug restaurant. We stayed in the McBeth cottage, which it turns out has its own hot tub out back on the deck. Super awesome to use that and not have to trek over to the pool. Check this place out!

This is a beautiful property. While I did not stay inside the castle my suite had charm. It had the most interesting design on the ceiling I heard it had been done by local residents using their fingers in the spackling. The restaurant on site is quaint with delicious food and friendly wait staff. There were a few things in my suite that needed attention ( no vent in the bathroom) it seemed as if the switch was broken. There was a crack in the bottom of the jacuzzi tub, I noticed once I was in there. No holder for a hand towel by the sink in the bathroom and very tiny trash cans. I did have an amazing relaxation massage by a wonderful professional. I plan to return in the warmer months to take advantage of the outdoor activities. Overall a wonderful experience!

The property is definitely off the beaten path, but it was worth the trek along narrow county roads. It is more of a campus than an all in one hotel. Our room in the Stable building was large and well appointed. The only disappointment was the lack of a microwave. The roads in the resort were also narrow and bumpy. Other than that, it was great.

The property is an older style hotel and does not have many of the safety features or amenities newer properties have. Dining choice is one restaurant which we had dinner at. Food and service were both terrible. Also very, very overpriced.

Gorgeous setting, exterior landscaping and building very well-kept. However, that's where the honeymoon ended. Staff seemed disinterested at best, with the exception of Roger, our waiter at the Copper Mug. He was a delight! Room was beautiful, but poorly maintained. Blood stain on the coverlet of the bed, dripping shower head was maddening at night, freezer was all frosted over, sink drain was mostly clogged, toilet didn't flush well, cracked sink, and the tub jets and body sprays were broken with a sign saying 'please don't use'. The pool area was very cool, but the "hot tub" was essentially a hot bath. I asked how to turn on the jets, they said "There are none, the water just 'percolates'". It HAD jets, they were just not functional. The Copper Mug Restaurant was disappointing as well. From the apathetic hostess to the indifferent manager, I've had better service at Bob Evans. While waiting for a table, we sat at the bar for about 15 minutes without being acknowledged or offered a drink. I get it, places are understaffed, but to have waitstaff literally standing in front of you without as much as a hello is just weird. And lastly, the bathroom was filthy, just to add to the experience. Overall, for the HUGE price tag, this was a colossal disappointment. I'd try Glen Laurel in Hocking Hills, similar price, so much better.

Overall my wife and I had a really nice time with our overnight stay, the suite was nicely decorated and the amenities were good! The bed was very comfortable and the suite was spacious enough for two. Minor things that could be improved on, are new irons for pressing or steaming clothes. Making sure the the windows are properly cleaned. All in all the Landoll’s Mohican Castle was a very nice trip, and we would definitely comeback in the future!

This place was amazing, beautiful, clean and spacious. Wish there was planned activities at the hotel once there because it is on a gravel road up a mountain and pretty far from anything local. For that reason once we checked in after canoeing we decided to eat at the restaurant on site. Had read the reviews and was to be very high rated. It took us 2 hours to get our food and menu is very limited and expensive. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely go back but would eat elsewhere before checking in.

Landoll's Mohican Castle is so beautiful and the room was perfect and very clean. It was our anniversary and everything was amazing! The restaurant definitely holds a special place in our hearts as the food was extremely tasty and my wife and I very much look forward to our next visit! If you like great food and beautiful scenery then you will absolutely love this place!

We stayed in the Hardesty suite. The room looks like a kingly chamber, tapestries on the walls, exposed opulent beams on the ceiling, and a kingly bed right out of a fairy tale! The grounds are magnificent with well manicured shrubs, statues peeking around the corners, and meandering pathway about the palace. The staff was attentive but not intrusive. We dined at the Copper mug and the food was exquisite and the service just as much. Roger, our waiter, was attentive and explained their French press coffee, which was delicious! It was my girlfriends birthday and we were brought out a piece of Birthday Cake which was a nice surprise! All in all I would highly recommend a stay at the castle for a special occasion.

No doubt this is a unique property but if they want to charge this much they need to up their game. The biggest issue was that there was a suite above us and the construction allowed every footstep, furniture move, dropped item to be heard in our suite. And loudly. It really spoiled our time there and if it was my property I'd be embarrassed to rent it let alone at approximately. $500 per night. Then there were the niggling things like no hangars in the closet, no hook by the shower for a towel or or robe. Then there's the restaurant. We eat dinner on Wednesday there. I had chicken fettuccine and my wife grilled meatloaf. She said hers was OK but my pasta was very bland. We also order a bottle of red wine and I had a gless of a different red. Bill was over $100. On Thanksgiving Day we we had the buffet at the restaurant at about $50 each. Dinner was pretty good except the gravy was so salty i scraped it off my turkey.

It really spoiled our time there and if it was my property I'd be embarrassed to rent it let alone at approximately. $500 per night. Then there were the niggling things like no hangars in the closet, no hook by the shower for a towel or or robe. Then there's the restaurant. We eat dinner on Wednesday there. I had chicken fettuccine and my wife grilled meatloaf. She said hers was OK but my pasta was very bland. We also order a bottle of red wine and I had a gless of a different red. Bill was over $100. On Thanksgiving Day we we had the buffet at the restaurant at about $50 each. Dinner was pretty good except the gravy was so salty i scraped it off my turkey.

The property is definitely off the beaten path, but it was worth the trek along narrow county roads. It is more of a campus than an all in one hotel. Our room in the Stable building was large and well appointed. The only disappointment was the lack of a microwave. The roads in the resort were also narrow and bumpy. Other than that, it was great.

This place is beautiful and amazing! The room was clean and the beds were so cozy. The front office staff and restaurant employees were tremendously friendly and accommadating. The grounds are well maintained, nicely groomed and clean. The recreation center was perfect for the rainy day outside. Lastly, the restaurant menu and food were exceptional! Our stay was absolutely, thoroughly enjoyed!!!

For that reason once we checked in after canoeing we decided to eat at the restaurant on site. Had read the reviews and was to be very high rated. It took us 2 hours to get our food and menu is very limited and expensive. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely go back but would eat elsewhere before checking in.

Gorgeous setting, exterior landscaping and building very well-kept. However, that's where the honeymoon ended. Staff seemed disinterested at best, with the exception of Roger, our waiter at the Copper Mug. He was a delight! Room was beautiful, but poorly maintained. Blood stain on the coverlet of the bed, dripping shower head was maddening at night, freezer was all frosted over, sink drain was mostly clogged, toilet didn't flush well, cracked sink, and the tub jets and body sprays were broken with a sign saying 'please don't use'. The pool area was very cool, but the "hot tub" was essentially a hot bath. I asked how to turn on the jets, they said "There are none, the water just 'percolates'". It HAD jets, they were just not functional. The Copper Mug Restaurant was disappointing as well. From the apathetic hostess to the indifferent manager, I've had better service at Bob Evans. While waiting for a table, we sat at the bar for about 15 minutes without being acknowledged or offered a drink. I get it, places are understaffed, but to have waitstaff literally standing in front of you without as much as a hello is just weird. And lastly, the bathroom was filthy, just to add to the experience. Overall, for the HUGE price tag, this was a colossal disappointment. I'd try Glen Laurel in Hocking Hills, similar price, so much better.

We chose this on our way to tour Kenyon College. The grounds are large and the castle is really interesting. Great breakfast at the Copper Mug restaurant. We stayed in the McBeth cottage, which it turns out has its own hot tub out back on the deck. Super awesome to use that and not have to trek over to the pool. Check this place out!

This is a beautiful property. While I did not stay inside the castle my suite had charm. It had the most interesting design on the ceiling I heard it had been done by local residents using their fingers in the spackling. The restaurant on site is quaint with delicious food and friendly wait staff. There were a few things in my suite that needed attention ( no vent in the bathroom) it seemed as if the switch was broken. There was a crack in the bottom of the jacuzzi tub, I noticed once I was in there. No holder for a hand towel by the sink in the bathroom and very tiny trash cans. I did have an amazing relaxation massage by a wonderful professional. I plan to return in the warmer months to take advantage of the outdoor activities. Overall a wonderful experience!

The biggest issue was that there was a suite above us and the construction allowed every footstep, furniture move, dropped item to be heard in our suite. And loudly. Landoll's Mohican Castle is so beautiful and the room was perfect and very clean. It was our anniversary and everything was amazing! The restaurant definitely holds a special place in our hearts as the food was extremely tasty and my wife and I very much look forward to our next visit! If you like great food and beautiful scenery then you will absolutely love this place!

We think the pool/game amenities may get closed when there are wedding parties. We didn’t know that when we stayed. There was a sign that said closed for maintenance on the door most of the day but it looked like drinks and articles of clothing were in there. So, if you’re booking for a weekend getaway like we did, just keep in mind that if there are weddings scheduled for that day the wedding party may be using that area to get ready. It didn’t really impact us too much since we still went to the restaurant for a bit, went on the ghost tour, and the room was nice enough to be able to spend the evening in without issue.
We think the pool/game amenities may get closed when there are wedding parties. We didn’t know that when we stayed. There was a sign that said closed for maintenance on the door most of the day but it looked like drinks and articles of clothing were in there. So, if you’re booking for a weekend getaway like we did, just keep in mind that if there are weddings scheduled for that day the wedding party may be using that area to get ready. It didn’t really impact us too much since we still went to the restaurant for a bit, went on the ghost tour, and the room was nice enough to be able to spend the evening in without issue.

We had an amazing stay at Landoll’s Castle. It’s a beautiful property and the staff was very attentive, helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Some of the furniture in our suite was worn or broken, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. We can’t wait to go back!
