The parking was convenient and quiet area

Room was nice enough but the elevator was out and we had to stay on a floor where the staff could escort us through the staff elevator. Also there was no refrigerator.

Property is nice. It’s a casino and I felt uncomfortable walking to parking lot alone. No valet or security in sight

Check in was quick and friendly, states there is a bar , but not really, it’s just a little spot in the corner and the bartender was walking around giving drinks in the casino, he was very accommodating when he finally got to us. It was ok for the price but not sure I’d stay again.

Smoking

Easy and fast check in and check out, but there is a lot of cigarette smoke and people asking for money in the parking lot.

Good location and parking

The hotel advertise as being renovated, esthetically pleasing, and exquisite but they definitely do NOT meet those standards. My stay was for ONE night on August 21st, 2025.........and I could not imagine staying another day as these are the things we encountered initially: -Room 201: room had a broken shower head which deemed the shower head only useable if you hand held it to take a shower (not) but the other option was to take a bath which I don't do in any hotel. -Room 203: room had 1 out of 2 beds that had lots of long strands of hair and crumbs in it as if someone didn't change the sheets or someone took a nap and/or break in the room while "cleaning" it. -Room 515: this room was supposed to be an "upgrade" from the rooms on the 2nd floor...it was NOT!!!! The room looked almost identical to the rooms on the 2nd floor. There was a knife on the floor that housekeeping missed. There was residue left in the toilet so the toilet was deemed as not being cleaned. The water coming from the shower had an odor. -There were also some guys who checked in right behind me who had complaints: their room was supposed to have double beds but had only one bed. We changed rooms THREE times in the first 30 minutes of being at the hotel. This is unacceptable. The whole management team needs to be replaced/fired as they are not governing over these employees and rooms to make sure they meet certain standards of high expectations. CANNOT RECOMMEND!!!!

I didn’t like only one tiny bar of soap, the coffee maker was filthy, the air conditioner was very loud, the throw pillow and throw decor on the bed was dirty. Everything else was very nice and clean.

Was the cleanest and most comfortable casino-hotel we've stayed at in Vicksburg. Will definitely return.

Room was terrible! Dirty shower, floor chair and lobby. Outdoor area had two benches that had ant mounds everywhere, couldn’t sit without ants climbing on you. Bathroom had no nighttime illumination. Won’t stay their again

The room smelled awful and the vents and furniture had months of dust built up. It was horrible. I have never, ever stayed in a place that filthy.

Room was ok except for the insects on the ceiling and spider web in the corner. Pillows were too hard . Casino was ok as well.

Fast friendly check in. Room was a good size but lacked a refrig and could have been cleaner. Floors needed to be vacuumed and dust was present in most of the room. Beds were comfortable and sheets were clean.

Property looks good and classy. The river beside us just awesone. Casino is food timepass. The carpet inside the hotel and the room looks so old and dirty. The room is not Provided with mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast is not included. The smoke alaram rang for 6 to 8 minutes so loudly when we were in deep sleep at night without any reason. We could not find guest service number inside the room to call immediately. It was a nightmare for us. Then automatically the alaram calmed down.

Yes the room was very clean, the whole place is very clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Stopped here for the night on our way back home. Hotel was okay for the price. Staff was friendly. Room was spacious but a little run down. GREAT shower with strong water pressure!

Room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable. Nice view of Mississippi River. Only thing missing was a refrigerator in the room, and bottled water.

Everything smelled like cigarette smoke, even the room which is non smoking, which I guess is to be expected in a casino. The smoke just goes everywhere. Room was dark at night, especially the bathroom. Lighting could be improved. Bed was very comfy and everything was clean. I usually complain about low water pressure in the shower but this place was just the opposite. The shower head spray was like little needless stinging since it had so much pressure. Maybe a shower head with an adjustable spray. No breakfast on weekdays. Food was nothing special but the little snack bar was nice. It was fun for our one night stay but if your sensitive to cigarette smoke or asthmatic then don’t stay here!

The property is older and while it was mostly clean, i say mostly because we shared our room with an industrious web making spider, the place as a whole needs an uplift. Our deluxe room bathroom had horrible lighting, and the room didnt come with a fridge which would have been helpful. On the positive side the bed was very comfortable! Which overall is usually the most important.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and beautiful views of the River.

The hotel and staff are exceptionally friendly. The staff at Smileys was great also(food) on the casino floor trying to get a drink was impossible. Overall I would stay there again just go to another casino.

There is basically no bar and the staff at the bore have no problem ignoring you time and time again. It was almost to the point of embarrassing to try to buy or collect a beer.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property and love it! Michael too great care of us at checking in. Very professionally handled.

Friendly, helpful staff. I've never been there before. Staff informed me of all services and where they were located within the casino. Glad that i stayed there.

Check in was easy and quick. Room was ready and clean. My problem is how the hotel and casino staff handled the problems caused by a major storm. While they were not able to control the weather and subsequent power outage, their communication with guests in the casino at the time and with those staying in the hotel was not good. I would have expected such an organization would have procedures for emergencies such as this in place. I was in the casino and heard one announcement for people to stop playing and remove the vouchers from the machines. This was in anticipation of the power outage. After that, there was little communication with those basically stuck in the facility. The closest to an announcement was when staff began having guests leave the casino and move to the hotel lobby. I did not hear any 'announcements' about what was going to happen next. I asked one staff member, if I walked up to my 4th floor room, would my door key work. She did not know. Eventually I heard via the grapevine that patrons were being asked/told to leave the building. I finally asked whether those of us with rooms in the hotel were being asked to leave too. The person I spoke with notified another staff member that I need to go to my room and had him allow me and another guest to our rooms and make sure I keys did work. Emergency preparations should have been in place about keeping patrons informed.

Check in went well and the gentleman that checked us in was very knowledgeable and informative. Rooms were clean and bed was very comfortable. The lobby/casino area was smoky as others have stated, but our room on the 3rd floor had none of the smoke smell.

Hassle at check-in because my reservations are always under my husbands name & I have never had a problem with that at other hotels when he was not with me but this hotel would NOT let me check in untill I called Hotels.com and added my name to the account! I had the confirmation receipt with my e-mail but they still would not allow. This fiasco detained us 30 minutes when we were tired. It is difficult to find the telephone number for Hotels.com now with the change to One Key when it used to be easy to call & a real person answered. Sad!

Very quite. Didn't hear any noise during the night. Quick check in. Room didn't smell like smoke.

I like the large parking lot because I usually bring my 16' fishing boat. Also, the hotel is on the mississippi river and has a beautiful view of the river.

Room was nice clean and quiet. Good value. Was able to control AC. I expected a river walk since that’s the name. Only walking available was around the parking lot! And you can’t get to the river shore.

Location is away from town and attractions. Just not the standard I am used to for a casino hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent quality for the price. Even though it is within the casino so the hall smells like cigarette, the room is not affected at all. The hotel sits right next to the Mississippi river, beautiful scenery.

Friendly, efficient check in and out. Room quiet, bed comfortable. Easy access to I20. Great views of Mississippi River. Would stay again.

It was a nice and convenient spot to stay in. The view of the river and bridge was nice abd it's less than 5 miles from food and stores. Overall it's a very nice place. Only downside is the cigarette smoke from the casino.

Room was comfortable and clean. Kitchen not open for breakfast except on weekends. Restaurant being remodeled and not much selection dark and dingy.

I would not recommend this property because of the lack of food. We asked for the special which was baked chicken. The waitress told us they were out. We asked for several other things and were told they were out. The dining room was under construction so they moved us to the bar area.

Nice room. Nice casino. Main dining room experience was a nightmare. They had technical issues at the front cash register where you place your order. My breakfast took 30 minutes to arrive and the restaurant was virtually empty. Our orders were also incorrect when received. Not good!!

Liked being right by the river. Beautiful views. Beds were comfortable. Smiley's had good breakfasts at reasonable prices. You place your order & pay as you walk up. Orders go from the cash register to the kitchen & a waitress brings your order to your table. Probably works well when the computerized process is up & running , not so well when it is down. 2 orders very timely, 3rd had to be chased down & resubmitted twice.

Room had a beautiful view of the river and was very comfortable. Casino does a very nice job of mitigating the smoke smell. Only disappointing thing was the restaurant. Menu is different than what is advertised online. Food was mediocre. Tried for dinner and breakfast. Both were disappointing.
