This is a 12 room motor court remodeled for inclusion of updated lighting, tv, wi-fi. microwave, fridge and coffee maker but using retro furnishings. Park at your door. No hallways and extra facilities. Homey, not fru-fru. Family that runs it is genuinely concerned that you enjoy your stay. It is not just a job... it is their livelyhood and they seem passionate about it.

The Evergreen is a nice little family owned Motel the owners are super friendly and sure take good care of their guests. I was on my way home from a long distance kayak race and decided to stop for the night. I made a reservation at the Evergreen and less than 10 minutes later had a call from them on checking in and my possible arrival time. I had a kayak on my vehicle and needed to park away from my room. They allowed me to park in an area where my vehicle and kayak were safe. There was another guest who had a motorcycle trailer so we were both able to park in a secure location and not impede any other guests. The motel plus it rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and there was no problem getting a good nights sleep. The rates are very reasonable and I will stay there again.

The staff was friendly, the WiFi worked, and the property was priced right for what it is. This inn is clearly owned, operated, cleaned, and managed with pride. If you are catching the train out of Osceola, this is a perfect location for you.

We were so glad to find this motel at the end of a long day of driving. It was super clean, the beds we're comfortable, and it was quiet. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker. The price was excellent and the check-in was super! The gal at the check-in was friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place to stay! Comfortable and homey! Staff were very helpful! If you are bringing a larger vehicle (e.g. moving truck, RV) or will be towing something (e.g. boat, trailer), you may have significant trouble parking at this motel however.

The only issues I had were the parking and the room smelled weird kind of like mold or mildew. I think the smell was coming from the air conditioner. Other than that, great place.

Absolutely an awesome place to stay. It is like taking a trip back in time to the 1950s and 60s. The place was very clean and updated with a tile shower and a comfortable bed. Would stay again without question.

Nice rooms in an old roadside motel. Staff was great but slightly late for check time. Heard a lot of banging and slamming probably coming from an adjacent room? Bathroom was very nice for such an old motel.

Very nice room, comfortable bed, clean. Owner kind. Only one problem was that the air conditioner made a screeching sound every time it came on. Couldn't sleep. Dog whined--high pitched sounds are hard on their sensitive hearing. I finally turned it off at 3:00 am and got some sleep. I think a bearing is going out on it. Room 10

This was a nice cozy little place perfect for our short one night stayand check in and out was quick and easy. The sink wouldn't drain but did so after a little work on our end. The television gave us no signal. We were hoping to unwind with a little t.v. before heading to bed after a long day of traveling. Overall, not bad for a brief stay.

We were in town as part of a trip to see family. The hotel is a nice property, very clean, but needs updating. My main issue was the mattress was quite uncomfortable, as well as they could convert a few rooms to king beds. Double is the biggest they have.

My 5 star review is based entirely on customer service. We had reserved a room but we're called on check-in day to explain that our room had a problem and was unavailable. Further, they were completely booked. They asked if we would mind if we arranged a stay at another in town facility at their cost to cover our inconvenience. We agreed, we were happy with the alternate site and we will try again to use the Evergreen on our next stay.

The lady was very welcoming. Rustic decor suited me- it could have more… new bathroom hardware was a bit too modern for the decor. I really appreciated the natural soaps, coffee, comfy bed and hot shower after a 3 hour drive. The AC and neighbors were not noisy… But it’s a shame the property is on a busy street/highway not a rural setting. I would stay there again, especially at the budget of less than $100/night.

The receptionist at the front desk was friendly at check in. I really appreciate how nice and welcoming she was. I love that this hotel is small and clean. I feel safe here. I did hear a train, but I hear that at my house too so I'm used to it.

I always stay here when I am in the area. They have the best prices. It is close to shopping and the cute downtown. The owners and staff are the best. They are very helpful, and always very friendly!!

Awesome little place! Tons of cute little kitties to pet and play with in the parking lot. Rooms are recently renovated and super clean. Really impressed with this stay. If you ever in the middle of Iowa, check this place out.
