They advertise this property as "Luxury retreat". This house couldn't be farther away from luxurious. Yes, the house itself is beautiful, even breathtaking, but the lack of maintenance in the outdoors spaces make their facilities absolutely useless. There is a serious infestation of spiders. They are literally on every chair, table and counter, and no one does anything about it. They charge hotel rates, yet pay only 1 person for the maintenance of the whole property. This business requires a professional cleaning crew to be on top of it every single day. We tried to use the barbecue and spent our time and our own wipes to remove the thick spiderweb from the chairs and table, only to realize that the amount of live spiders underneath was impossible for us to clean, at least not without being bitten. We talked to the property manager and she didn't do anything for us. We had to move all our stuff indoors. I paid 500$ for 2 nights, hoping to find that Luxury retreat they promised, but found ourselves in a disgusting space. Also, I paid the highest rate for the Lakeview room as they advertised it as the best view in the house, but the whole view is obstructed by a huge tree. They have 5 indoors fireplaces but no one is in use, I asked the lady but she said there is no gas. The breakfast is a joke for the price they charge. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY.

The room was nice and clean and had a nice view of the lake. Staff were helpful and friendly. Met some nice other guests there. Views are great. The indoor pool area was too hot to go into, but having an indoor pool was a nice feature. The continental breakfast was very basic, and could be improved. We've had continental breakfasts in other inns, so not expecting anything too fancy, but it could be improved. Property itself is located on the lake with a beautiful view. Grounds could use some upkeep and some outdoor furniture, stairs, and lower deck on the beach need some cleaning and maintenance.

Overall a good Air BnB with great views is the water, big lot size with direct access to the lake, private beach, quiet neighborhood and great place to watch sunset. Kitchen is stocked, plenty of seating options both inside and outside to watch the great views and outdoor covered BBQ as well. Indoor swimming pool, pool table and ping pong table is good for those planning a trip with family. Rooms are in decent shape and some are updated .. we stayed in the master bedroom and it had great views. Washroom needs renovation as it is very dated especially when there is a premium for master bedroom price. Breakfast is ok and should have more fruit options for sure .. even apples and bananas were missing ( both days were exactly the same breakfast options ) . Outdoor areas are good and well maintained though can be bit cleaner . Overall, it is a good property and hard to find such good stay options right on the water with great lake views. Would recommend for sure.

The property is a bit dated. The inside was clean and tidy. The outside was ok needs a good clean. Patio chairs and windows not very clean . Cobwebs everywhere. The beach area was lovely but also needs a good clean. The staircase going down to the water needs to desperately be replaced and one area of deck is dangerous as no stringer under boards at all. Would be a beautiful spot if some renos were done. Also not really a breakfast that you would normally get in an BnB. More continental than anything.. The poor girl is taking care of this massive property herself. Definitely needs to have another staff member during the day to help. Way too much for one person to keep up. The house is massive.

Lovely location, great private beach and lots of rooms for rest and relaxation in the property. It was great to have a ping pong table and pool table, and the room the pool was in was heated though the pool itself was not. We also used the BBQ pretty frequently, it was great to have access to that as well. My only issue was that the outside areas could have been cleaner, a lot of the sides of chairs, tables etc., were very dusty and had lots of cobwebs, it was pretty clear that only the surfaces had been cleaned if anything, we often used tissues to wipe down the sides before sitting. Same thing with the decorations and chairs outside at the front, a lot of cobwebs everywhere. Apart from that though the kitchen itself was very clean at all times and all the guests were respectful about following the rules and washing up after themselves. The room and bathroom as well very very clean and pleasant. Overall I really recommend staying here, and we may come back in the future!

Proper was amazingly clean. With an awesome beach where there were less than three people in the entire zone. If you're looking for a calm escape this is your place. Don't miss it. I do need to say there weren't a lot of things that Expedia had said about this property being self-maintained. The breakfast was nothing what we were expecting. At least the eggs could have been warm. I wasn't expecting cold eggs from the refrigerator. We had to clean our own dishes. But, I guess if this was announced ahead of time, we would have come prepared for it. I also would like to recommend that the property spend some time cleaning all the spider webs on the stairs on the exterior seating and everywhere else. The stairs on to the beach were ridiculously much. There was a small little escalator, but when we asked the property manager, she said sorry this is not for the guests. Maybe they should make it a little bit more accessible. Other than that, the beach the site is to die for!

We slept with the window open and it was relaxing. VERY DISAPPOINTED that we were never able to use our balcony. It was COVERED in tons of webs and HUGE spiders! They did pressure wash the larger balcony area so we were able to use that. There is a hole in the one screened window so we never opened it so spiders wouldn't crawl in. Beach access is nice. Sunset views are wonderful. Would have liked to use the sauna, but out of order. There were signs for pesticides sprayed so never sat outside on lower level area. Will try this place again sometime. Hopefully they can stay on top of spiders all around property better. Should spray a couple of times a year to keep them at bay a little.

What a wonderful stay at this stunning location. Only downside, for us, as seniors, was the stairs down to the beach. Cindi, the onsite manager was so kind and accommodating...she took us down to the beach on the lift and picked us up when we were ready to return. Spectacular beach, which we had all to ourselves. We would definitely return.

The landscaping and the grounds were exceptional. The room however, was small and the carpet is very old and soiled. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was minimal. Overall, a bit disappointing for the price.

Absolutely beautiful views from many different rooms, light breakfast is perfect, room was outdated... carpet needs to go and both chairs stained but the view is incredible! nostalgic pink bathroom We had a very nice stay Would consider going again

Showing signs of neglect over priced and undervalued. Beautiful home showing its age but lacked maintenance mold spider webs on balcony steps unsafe going down to beach and tram lift out of order.

The room was nice and clean and had a nice view of the lake. Staff were helpful and friendly. Met some nice other guests there. Views are great. The indoor pool area was too hot to go into, but having an indoor pool was a nice feature. The continental breakfast was very basic, and could be improved. We've had continental breakfasts in other inns, so not expecting anything too fancy, but it could be improved. Property itself is located on the lake with a beautiful view. Grounds could use some upkeep and some outdoor furniture, stairs, and lower deck on the beach need some cleaning and maintenance.

Overall a good Air BnB with great views is the water, big lot size with direct access to the lake, private beach, quiet neighborhood and great place to watch sunset. Kitchen is stocked, plenty of seating options both inside and outside to watch the great views and outdoor covered BBQ as well. Indoor swimming pool, pool table and ping pong table is good for those planning a trip with family. Rooms are in decent shape and some are updated .. we stayed in the master bedroom and it had great views. Washroom needs renovation as it is very dated especially when there is a premium for master bedroom price. Breakfast is ok and should have more fruit options for sure .. even apples and bananas were missing ( both days were exactly the same breakfast options ) . Outdoor areas are good and well maintained though can be bit cleaner . Overall, it is a good property and hard to find such good stay options right on the water with great lake views. Would recommend for sure.

The landscaping and the grounds were exceptional. The room however, was small and the carpet is very old and soiled. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was minimal. Overall, a bit disappointing for the price.

We looked at the reviews before going, and now we can confirm, they all correctly describe the property. We enjoyed the private beach. Lots of outside and inside common areas. The room was clean and comfortable, a/c was working, the kitchen is amazing and well equipped. Staff (Cindy) was very helpful. We would definitely like to return.

Overall it was a nice place to stay but the AC in my room was not working that well so it was hot. My partner also has allergies and he kept having allergy attacks for some reason and thinks it was something in the room causing this

The entire experience was delightful! We met and made some new friends that made our evenings very enjoyable. The only thing that was concerning was that the lock set to our room was about to fall off. We did our best to tighten, which got us through our stay, but it could use some attention. The other thing was that the lamp on the nightstand closest to the window was not working. We suspect that the power bar was broken, as the light was out on the power bar and we did check to make sure that the power cord was plugged into the wall. Overall, we had a lovely stay, and we can’t wait to stay again next time!! Thank you P.S. Cindy is awesome!!

Absolutely beautiful views from many different rooms, light breakfast is perfect, room was outdated... carpet needs to go and both chairs stained but the view is incredible! nostalgic pink bathroom We had a very nice stay Would consider going again

All was great . Requested to stay at their private beach until 2 pm and was flatly refused with no extension past 11 am. We said we checked out of room but wanted to sit at the beach until 2 pm and was a no go. There was nobody there so we were in no one’s way

They advertise this property as "Luxury retreat". This house couldn't be farther away from luxurious. Yes, the house itself is beautiful, even breathtaking, but the lack of maintenance in the outdoors spaces make their facilities absolutely useless. There is a serious infestation of spiders. They are literally on every chair, table and counter, and no one does anything about it. They charge hotel rates, yet pay only 1 person for the maintenance of the whole property. This business requires a professional cleaning crew to be on top of it every single day. We tried to use the barbecue and spent our time and our own wipes to remove the thick spiderweb from the chairs and table, only to realize that the amount of live spiders underneath was impossible for us to clean, at least not without being bitten. We talked to the property manager and she didn't do anything for us. We had to move all our stuff indoors. I paid 500$ for 2 nights, hoping to find that Luxury retreat they promised, but found ourselves in a disgusting space. Also, I paid the highest rate for the Lakeview room as they advertised it as the best view in the house, but the whole view is obstructed by a huge tree. They have 5 indoors fireplaces but no one is in use, I asked the lady but she said there is no gas. The breakfast is a joke for the price they charge. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY.

We enjoy our evening at the Brentwood. It has been around for a few decades apparently, as such there is a bit of wear, but all good. The only glitch was getting in. I had the code for the main lock box, but couldn't figure out how to work it. (You have to push a button to illuminate a digital key pad. The code for the room lock box was really hard to find in the "email". I suspect if one had the app, it would have been more apparent. (A better explanation of how the lock boxes work (never seen these ones before) might have been helpful. I called the number and the gal was very helpful and resolved the issue. Easy sailing after that. Nice place. It felt a little like first year university entering the dorm for the first time. A few other couples there, but everybody was pretty chill. I don't know if it mentions it on the website, but there is quite the stair case down to the beach, and somebody with significant mobility issues might not be able to navigate it. Over all it was very nice. 4/5 overall.

Just spent two nights at this beautiful location. It's way more than a B&B and not quite a hotel. Set in what was either purpose built or was once a spacious mansion, the recently renovated facility is first class. Cyndie the caretaker and Mike the owner could not have been more friendly and helpful while being completely unobtrusive. Met some really nice other guests too. It's a ways out of the hubbub of Grand Bend, so it's very quiet and peaceful. I will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend it.

What a wonderful stay at this stunning location. Only downside, for us, as seniors, was the stairs down to the beach. Cindi, the onsite manager was so kind and accommodating...she took us down to the beach on the lift and picked us up when we were ready to return. Spectacular beach, which we had all to ourselves. We would definitely return.

Beautiful grounds and amazing piece of Lake Huron waterfront! Perfect spot for swimming and relaxing with great proximity to Grand Bend. We has some minor issues with check-in communication (and communication in general) - apparently a $50 charge if arriving before 3pm - which should be mentioned on the listing. Also we had no hot water the next morning and no continental breakfast could be found at 7am. Private patio could also use a cleaning.

Beautiful landscaped gardens in the front and back yard of this quiet residential neighbourhood b’n’b. Lake Huron views are amazing and there is a set of stairs that will bring you down to the beach area. There is also a propane BBQ for guests to enjoy their own cooking. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well for the two nights that we stayed. It’s also less than a 20 minute drive to Pinery Provincial Park where we visited family that was camping there.

We stayed here 25 years ago and are so happy that it is back! Awesome property with lots of private areas to sit, the grounds and views are spectacular and the private beach is amazing. We had three wonderful days here.

The indoor pool area was too hot to go into, but having an indoor pool was a nice feature. The continental breakfast was very basic, and could be improved. We've had continental breakfasts in other inns, so not expecting anything too fancy, but it could be improved. Property itself is located on the lake with a beautiful view. Grounds could use some upkeep and some outdoor furniture, stairs, and lower deck on the beach need some cleaning and maintenance.

Overall a good Air BnB with great views is the water, big lot size with direct access to the lake, private beach, quiet neighborhood and great place to watch sunset. Kitchen is stocked, plenty of seating options both inside and outside to watch the great views and outdoor covered BBQ as well. Indoor swimming pool, pool table and ping pong table is good for those planning a trip with family. Rooms are in decent shape and some are updated .. we stayed in the master bedroom and it had great views. Washroom needs renovation as it is very dated especially when there is a premium for master bedroom price. Breakfast is ok and should have more fruit options for sure .. even apples and bananas were missing ( both days were exactly the same breakfast options ) . Outdoor areas are good and well maintained though can be bit cleaner . Overall, it is a good property and hard to find such good stay options right on the water with great lake views. Would recommend for sure.

The view was amazing!!! A little help with the coffee maker in the morning would be helpful. Guests were making coffee and it wasn’t very good!!! A little protein would have been nice for breakfast.

The property is a bit dated. The inside was clean and tidy. The outside was ok needs a good clean. Patio chairs and windows not very clean . Cobwebs everywhere. The beach area was lovely but also needs a good clean. The staircase going down to the water needs to desperately be replaced and one area of deck is dangerous as no stringer under boards at all. Would be a beautiful spot if some renos were done. Also not really a breakfast that you would normally get in an BnB. More continental than anything.. The poor girl is taking care of this massive property herself. Definitely needs to have another staff member during the day to help. Way too much for one person to keep up. The house is massive.

Proper was amazingly clean. With an awesome beach where there were less than three people in the entire zone. If you're looking for a calm escape this is your place. Don't miss it. I do need to say there weren't a lot of things that Expedia had said about this property being self-maintained. The breakfast was nothing what we were expecting. At least the eggs could have been warm. I wasn't expecting cold eggs from the refrigerator. We had to clean our own dishes. But, I guess if this was announced ahead of time, we would have come prepared for it. I also would like to recommend that the property spend some time cleaning all the spider webs on the stairs on the exterior seating and everywhere else. The stairs on to the beach were ridiculously much. There was a small little escalator, but when we asked the property manager, she said sorry this is not for the guests. Maybe they should make it a little bit more accessible. Other than that, the beach the site is to die for!

Beautiful grounds and amazing piece of Lake Huron waterfront! Perfect spot for swimming and relaxing with great proximity to Grand Bend. We has some minor issues with check-in communication (and communication in general) - apparently a $50 charge if arriving before 3pm - which should be mentioned on the listing. Also we had no hot water the next morning and no continental breakfast could be found at 7am. Private patio could also use a cleaning.

Beautiful waterfront location with indoor pool，no complain with almost everything except the in house care taker? We did not get a even proper check in，felt like a unwelcomed intruder， she sat in sofa when we walk passed her after， she did not even looked us or tried to talk to us.

This is not a hotel this place is shelter and sharing house. No AC at room and they cheating on people. I booked a King bedroom with lake view but they give us very hot room in the sharing house like a shelter very very noise and second night they moved us to small room with street view. Nothing is true they don’t have breakfast just coffee and some terrible cake. Don’t throw your money and avoid this place.

The property and building is large, well-appointed and very comfortable. There is so much room within the house and property that it is easy to find a quiet corner to relax in. Improvements can be made in communicating where breakfast was put out (we didn’t find it the first morning and drove to town) — perhaps something printed in the rooms? and we also would have liked to be able to make coffee in the afternoon (no ground coffee to be found). The pool was lovely, as were the views.. Finally, the value did not match the cost of our stay of close to $300/night for a continental breakfast.
