It is on a busy street and it was hard and unsafe to cross the road to check in. There is parking out front but difficult to access so I parked in the back and wasnt even sure if it was their parking. The restaurant across the street was good. I dont think it was the safest area, Lots of homeless people in the morning sleeping by the restaurant.

check in was terrible. GPS was having difficulties finding the place. Check in was in another building and parking was tight. The front door to the room has a pool of water. You need to watch your step getting in and out of the room.

A nice place for a night while travelling through town. The check-in is across the street and down at the Travelodge. No breakfast, but the restaurant across the street had a nice breakfast. You had parking in front of the unit. But, you had to back out onto the main street, with the visibility limited. It also had limited electrical outlets to charge your devices.

Need to fix the “sewage smell” coming from the washroom. It was clean overall but the odor in the room left my clothes smelling like it also. Parking is not for beginners if you have a large vehicle. There is a fundamental issue with the plumbing. We checked into a room on the bottom floor and it smelled so strongly of poop that we lasted only a few mins before we asked to move. They moved us into a higher unit (side note: the service staff are fantastic) and entering the new unit it was obvious from the heavy use of lemon scent that there was an attempt to hide the smell. While the smell took a few hours to resurface and was lessened in the top floor unit (which would make sense if the smell is rising from the sewer), by midnight the smell was very clearly back. 0/10 do not stay here until they issue a notice saying the plumbing is repaired

The base boards around the room have never been cleaned, and the floor around the perimeter of the rooms had massive dirt build up. The toilet had been USED and not FLUSHED prior to my arrival, and the bedsheets were stained. The family staying above me had children who wouldn’t stop running and stomping, but even when they went to bed at midnight, it couldn’t be helped that the rooms have no soundproofing since you can hear every snore and footstep. The inn is also about 20 feet from a busy road, so you can hear every vehicle driving by all night long. The entire room smelt like it was entirely smothered with a bar of dove soap, giving a false sense of cleanliness.

I used Expedia Stayed in Room 2 Travellers Inn 2 double beds I showered, dried myself off walked 10 feet to the bed and the bottoms of my feet felt gritty and were black! There was no carpet, which is fine but, cleaning staff DID NOT sweep or wash the floors. As well as soon as I opened our door on the opposite wall is a black mirror, it had 3 hand prints on it, I took a tissue and wiped a finger marking off and it came off. Why isn’t the bare minimum being done? This was the most expensive place we stayed so far and it was by far the dirtiest!! I let the front desk know the issue, she tried giving me a different room right next door to our room. I went in the room it was a fraction of the size but only had 1 double bed but I took my boots off and the floor was nasty! We ended up staying in the original room. We wett the bathroom towel and cleaned the floors ourselves.🤬 Front desk staff was nice✅. Good water pressure ✅ Fridge with freezer ✅ Microwave✅

Travellers Inn is a sister hotel to the Travelodge. The price we paid was outrageous for what we had. We checked in at the Travelodge and walked 1/2 a block to the Inn. We walk in to an icebox, the a/c was crancked. The smell of the cleaning was overwelming, if anyone has a scent allergy, we do not recommend.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I stayed one night for 220$. They have a major sewage problem. You will not be able to sleep in those rooms. They did not tell me about this and they did not offer a discount. I wish I knew before I booked.

Interesting experience. Arrived to find that there is no office or check-in desk. A woman sitting outside a room directed us to the Travelodge, a block away. They checked us in, then upon returning to the Traveler's Inn, the Hells Angels arrived (yes, the real thing). With thin walls and ceilings, it was a noisy night. The bathroom floor was not thoroughly cleaned. For the price (high), terrible.

For the price the rooms were small but, clean. The air conditioning was noisy and in my opinion did not do an adequate job cooling the room. The bed was ok and the pillows were a bit overstuffed. The accomodations were ok for one night. Anything longer I would want a larger room

The rooms are rather small. The ceiling is not soundproof -- one can hear the second floor guests when they walk around at night. The Tavelodge across the street handles the registration, room assignment, and checkout, so one has to cross a very busy street for all of these. The Travelodge staff however are very friendly and helpful. It also has one of the best lowcost restaurants anywhere -- terrifically good food.
The rooms are rather small. The ceiling is not soundproof -- one can hear the second floor guests when they walk around at night. The Tavelodge across the street handles the registration, room assignment, and checkout, so one has to cross a very busy street for all of these. After reading the reviews we almost skipped out on this one. Luckily it wasn't as bad as others made out. Just remember, this is a 2 star hotel. Yes the floors are paper thin (something the upstairs guests made abundantly clear at 5am) and there is a highway literally feet from your door but the AC is super loud and drowns pretty much all that out. The room is updated and clean and that's pretty much the best you can hope for at this star level.

Had to check in at a hotel across the street from actual rooms, room was so so small, air conditioner unit was loud, the motel door had evidence of being kicked in at one point, the chain lock on the inside was held in by a thread of the screws. Did not feel safe at all. Limited channels on tv. Defiantly not worth $210.00!

Very expensive town to stop over for the night. Although it was the least expensive. I usually get the last minute deals for $100 to $125 that includes a breakfast. This room cost $250. This very small room with one double bed was quaint. Included mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Having said that I got the last room. Personally I will plan my trip better to get off the road sooner than or later than stopping in beautiful Kenora. Again, i wasnt on vacation. I was just passing thru

You have to book in at another site across the road, but a sign indicating this is hidden by parked cars, making it confusing. The room was small but clean, the bed was a double, but the mattress was squeekey and uncomfortable. The price was low compared to other properties in Kenora, so I guess we received what we paid for.

We booked the room prior to reading the reviews. The reviews for this facility were terrible. We asked for a refund but the agent that I chatted with on the Expedia app contacted the hotel and asked for a refund on my behalf but was denied.

Property was not plowed, someone eventually came by but proceeded to plow us in. The keycards only worked the once and then not again. The phone didn't work, had use my cell phone to call rhe front desk about the clogged toilet. Definitely stayed a better places for way less $$

Confusing check-in across the street at Travel Lodge hotel. No signage to indicate this. Found out when called the hotel.

The Traveler's Inn was a good basic hotel with a comfortable bed and good temperature settings. It's inexpensive by Kenora standards and I would recommend it. The Traveler's Inn must have an arrangement with the Travelodge across the road. We arrived late and had to check in at the Travelodge to get our Traveler's Inn key. This would not normally be a problem, but I have mobility issues and we had to cross the Trans-Canada Highway from one hotel to another, without a traffic light or crosswalk.

It is on a busy street and it was hard and unsafe to cross the road to check in. There is parking out front but difficult to access so I parked in the back and wasnt even sure if it was their parking. The restaurant across the street was good. I dont think it was the safest area, Lots of homeless people in the morning sleeping by the restaurant.

If you can find better or even camping is better than staying here .Been to Kenora before this time of year accomdation fills up . The placeis noisy because of a road going by ,I had touse ear plugs.

We stayed at the Traveler's Inn for two nights, in September 2025. The Traveler's Inn is an aging motel that has had a renovation not too long ago. The check-in process was a bit unexpected as you must go to the Travel Lodge across the street to check-in and get your room key. Thankfully, one of the other guests let us know. We did the same for some other guests the next day. The Traveler's Inn is conveniently located for travelers using the Tras-Canada Highway, as the motel is immediately adjacent to the highway. As the highway traverses Kenora, the speeds are reduced to 50 km/h, so road noise is not noticed in the motel room, most of the time. The downtown core of Kenora is a short drive away. Wi-Fi worked well and room key did not need to be reprogrammed as we have had that as an issue at other motels/hotels in our travels. The Traveler's Inn meets the needs of travelers.

Never again. Deadbolt on room did not work. Busy main road in front of hotel created a lot of noise. Nearly struck by a vehicle when backing out. Many beggars in this area that approach you asking for $ when going to your car and hotel room.

The rooms are rather small. The ceiling is not soundproof -- one can hear the second floor guests when they walk around at night. The Tavelodge across the street handles the registration, room assignment, and checkout, so one has to cross a very busy street for all of these. The Travelodge staff however are very friendly and helpful. It also has one of the best lowcost restaurants anywhere -- terrifically good food.

It was a basic double room no frills but was perfect for us travelling through. Small fridge and microwave meant we could have a non-restaurant meal for a change. Bed was comfy, Shower was good. Parking was convenient either in front or behind building but do note, you check in across the street at the TravelLodge as there is no desk at the Inn. Was easy to travel with the dog and walked the nearby neighbourhood. Lots going on in Kenora over the weekend but it was quiet through the night. Close to lots of nearby shopping and restaurants.

Will not likely stay there again. No breakfast which was advertised asbeing offered. Floors were very dirty. Scary parking when you have a truck. Noisy. TV didn't work. Wifi never did connect to any of our devices. And no breakfast for the price.

We checked into our room in fear and trembling, having read the dreadful reviews that had been posted about this property in the few days before our stay. However, in the end the room was basic but fine, being clean and quite well equipped. The staff were friendly. The biggest problem, as pointed out by previous reviewers, is that to get to reception, and also to the excellent Travelers' Lodge restaurant, you have to cross a very busy and dangerous main road. The price is quite expensive for what is on offer - but then, all Kenora hotels seem to be expensive.

A nice place for a night while travelling through town. The check-in is across the street and down at the Travelodge. No breakfast, but the restaurant across the street had a nice breakfast. You had parking in front of the unit. But, you had to back out onto the main street, with the visibility limited. It also had limited electrical outlets to charge your devices.

The Inn was not lit and looked like it was closed. An Old sign taped to a door directed you to check in across the street. There were no amenities such as a restaurant. It was noisy with traffic noises and the voices of other people from their rooms. it was clean but very sparsely furnished with only a bed, a small table and two hard chairs and a TV hung on the wall.. No art on the walls. It wasn't very welcoming. Didn't know who I would contact if I needed extra towels etc..Not worth the price. I would describe it as a place you would only want to sleep a night and leave asap.The service attendant across the street gave me the news there was no restaurant and directed me to the restaurant next door which was very good and he also gave me two free bottles of water.

The room was overpowering from the cleaner, plugged my sinuses Had to go down the block to another motel to register and pay and get keycard, then back to original motel Parking was right out front next to main highway, only thing separating the road and parking was a sidewalk The bed was sooo horrendously uncomfortable, we both woke up stiff and sore, got up at 3 and left Would not recommend this place to anyone and will never go back!

The room was clean and bed was comfortable but the outside environment would turn off many people. The stairs were hard to get up with our suitcases for these seniors who had requested a ground floor room in Hotels.com that was never forwarded to the motel staff by Expedia. So I am more unhappy with this than the room itself.

Rooms need to be properly cleaned. The baseboards, walls, doors and in general room was dirty. Towels were not very soft, but bed was comfortable.
