Very clean, well stocked, dining till 8.30pm. Breakfast included. Nice hot shower. Helpful, friendly staff. The adjoining room and the train station across the road were noisy in the night. It’s what it is. But it’s excellent value for the fee.

Passing through for work. Extremely clean and comfy room. Looks like have had a recent facelift. Power shower great after being on the road. Handy for meals in the club next door. Large portions and reasonably priced. Would stay again when in Gladstone

Rooms on ground floor. Easy parking. Pub next door. Quiet place. Only down side was one of the breakfast cereal packet had been chewed open, most probably by a rat. Couldn't complain to anyone as the reception was closed and had to checkout early.

Upon arrival for check-in, the girl mentioned she was not usually responsible for checking guests in and apologised for the delay. I thought that was odd considering the bsy period of Easter. Later that night I went and got a meal. I ordered a steak (nothing wrong with the food at al) but then it was brought out it only had a steak knife on the plate. I asked a staff member of there was a fork to go with it, and he went and got one. Just a fork thugh; no napkin, no salt and pepper. The room was good but I did notice a long black hair stuck to the shower wall tiles. I cringed thinking what I could be standing in, thinking the shower hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. A clean room (and bathroom) is what everyone wants when they visit a motel. Overall pretty ordinary. Cannot recommend.

A second chair for a couple would be good but where would it fit with the two beds in the room? Otherwise all was good.

where to leave the keys when customer checks out. we left around 8:15 and there was not a place to leave the keys. the instruction of the motel was to leave the key in the box near the stairs but there was no box. we spent 15 minutes looking for a safe way of leaving the keys, we knocked as on the website it says there is a manager daily from 8 am to 2am but couldnt find anyone. we decided to leave the keys inside the room to avoid issues. so next time, maybe you should create another option for early checks out.

Our room was rented to someone , my credit card was used to pay for it as I used it to secure the booking ! The staff member did her darndest to sort it out eventually . There was no hot water in the room so unable to have a shower in the middle of winter ! The crockery was dirty . The cereal hadn’t been replaced. As many issues as we had they were sorted quite quickly so top marks to the young lady who sorted the situation. We just laughed it off !

Passing through for work. Extremely clean and comfy room. Looks like have had a recent facelift. Power shower great after being on the road. Handy for meals in the club next door. Large portions and reasonably priced. Would stay again when in Gladstone

The chinese woman at the reception was extremely friendly. We liked the food at the restaurant. The room was clean, we found everthing we needed.

Lovely place to stay. Close to railway station. Clean and tidy with kettle, toaster and microwave. Pub is lovely.

After a long day of travel, we arrive to a very loud teenage party in a private room that was right across from reception, which also doubled as a bar and casino. This was not the scenario that I was anticipating, and it was very overstimulating after a long day of travel. There were screaming teenagers outside, fighting right outside our room to the point where I finally went in and spoke to management who was very helpful. However, it did continue throughout the night to the point where in the morning management actually had slipped an envelope under our door, offering us a full refund. This was extremely appreciated as it was a very rough night. I wouldn’t have demanded it, but I was so grateful that they offered, and it really shows that they wanted to make things right!

. Mattresses need upgrading as the were to soft and sunk in middle. Not great to sleep on . Need more lighting in the rooms above the beds. Otherwise clean and tidy.

I wrote the below as an email to the property. Have them 3 days and had nil response. Hence, now a public review. I tried to find someone this morning to discuss following but hotel was closed. We were very disappointed in the standard of our room. 1. There is a stench of cigarette smoke throughout the room.most noticeably in the curtains but also in cushions and towels. We noted that there are no signs stating no smoking in rooms. 2. The windows do not close and lock. I would hate to be a solo female traveller in this situation. I would certainly feel unsafe. 3. The pillows need to be replaced. They can fold in half which indicates that the stuffing is pretty well non existent. 4. There is a smell of vomit on the brick wall above the old phone plug.This smell is more obvious when the door is shut. Overall a very unsatisfactory stay.
