Room was very basic, but the beds were large and comfortable. The location is excellent and my kids loved the pool and hot tub. I could never get the Wifi to work, but overall a really good time. I would stay here again.

Rusted shower curtain pole and rings in cabin 10. doors to bedroom and bathroom need a good paint job, many scuff marks and stains. Walls in sitting area need washed or painted, more dark scuff marks and stains. Otherwise enjoyed our stay. Pool area with hot tub kept pristine!

There were no end tables by the bed. I pulled a chair over. I had the only room with out close parking. It wasn't too far , but behind building where I enter in the front.. People were always taking my closest spot and I had to park down the street.

It was a good place, great location, needs some tlc, looks like they have been improving, if your looking for a reasonably priced place to stay its great, if your looking for a big squishing bed, not it the bed was very uncomfortable, no coffee provided there was a small 4 cup maker, which had mold growth from left over coffee grounds luckily there was a small local store across the street to buy filters and coffee , its not a bad place to stay.

It was a good place, great location, needs some tlc, looks like they have been improving, if your looking for a reasonably priced place to stay its great, if your looking for a big squishing bed, not it the bed was very uncomfortable, no coffee provided there was a small 4 cup maker, which had mold growth from left over coffee grounds luckily there was a small local store across the street to buy filters and coffee , its not a bad place to stay.

Location! Location! Location!!! We stayed in one of the single bed cottages. Don’t judge a book by its cover because when we walked inside, we were pleasantly surprised to find a fully renovated studio like apartment, and it was sparking clean. Tiny, but it had everything we needed. I must say, the reason to come “up north” to Lake Huron so I was surprised how many people were using the pool (very clean and nice) instead of the beach, one block away. Would absolutely stay here again!

We LOVED this place to stay. Yes, the rooms are small and could use a little update, but, the ease of check-in, close proximity to everything, and the POOL! THE POOL! It is beautiful, perfect, comfortable chairs... just perfect. I hope to stay at this motel again next summer. Absolutely loved it.

I like Stephanie the staff very professional and nice. What I didn’t like was there is no coffee and coffee machine in room. I stayed here couple times before I like the quality of the room and a big swimming pool and hot tub. The location is in the center of downtown Port Austin.

If you can get by with no continental breakfast and rooms that could be updated This place sits in the center of town "Port Austin" with a great piece of property, set up like a courtyard with an big outdoor pool, firepit, a quick walk to all the stores and the pier. Very nice accommodations. Rooms were clean Loved being in the heart of Port Austin. Lovely city and the people were so nice. Everything from the amazing farmers market and beach to bars and local eateries within walking distance. Very pleasant stay. Would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside Motor Lodge, at the very tip of the Michigan thumb. We were on the 1st floor and there was a picnic table right outside our room. This is an an advantage not offered by very many overnight stays. We could sit outside, play some Phase 10, on the table and enjoy the cool breezes. When we check in we often ask where a good place to eat is. Bird Creek Farm was recommended. We took that recommendation and ate outside on a very nice back porch, which was obviously a local favorite place to eat. Food was really good, quickly served by a very efficient young waitress. This stay was perfect. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean and well kept. A bonus of our stay was putting our feet in, well, I'm not sure if it was the Saginaw Bay or Lake Huron, but once the numbness from the cold water set in, it was very pleasant to be able to stand and talk for a few minutes. I would recommend the Lakeside Motor Lodge to anyone looking for a pleasant place to when visiting Port Austin, and I would highly recommend visiting Port Austin, at the tip of the thumb in Michigan.
