Everything was great at Fanari Vista - from the fresh served breakfast every morning, to the view second to none, to the excellent meals in Fanari restaurant, and especially the welcoming and friendly hosts Stavroula and Dimos. Nothing was too much trouble and they made our stay the best ever! The suites are so comfortable and private you could sleep all day if you wanted to. Handy to everything in Santorini but tucked away in the hillside with a lovely private hot tub in each suite. Our compliments to the hosts - they run a very unique and charming small set of suites - our stay was everything we had hope for and more. Cathy and Les from Brisbane, Australia.

This hotel has amazing views. We enjoyed watching the sunset from our hot tub with some wine. The restaurant right above the hotel is amazing. Right in the heart of Fira with countless restaurants and shops just steps from the hotel. Customer service was excellent. We felt like royalty staying here. Breakfast served to us on our balcony was superb. Dimos went above and beyond, leaving us food for our early start the next morning and always being so friendly. This is definitely the place to stay in Santorini, hands down. Worth every penny.

The Fanari Vista Suites far exceeded our expectations. The website photos were beautiful but the reality was breathtaking. Our hostess Stavroula was a joy and made our stay very easy and enjoyable. Our suite had its own hot tub on the balcony with the most spectacular views of the sea and volcano. The suites are also situated at the very start of the steps which lead down to the old port. You can take a boat trip from there and then take a cable car back up the cliff to the main town of Fira. The suites are right beside all the little pathways of the quaint arty shops and 5 minutes from the main road. Despite this proximity to everything, the suites and balcony are very serene and peaceful. Visitors are also given 20% off the Fanari restaurant on its doorstep which is very good and this makes it amazing value. Also, your choice of breakfast is brought to your own patio on a tray every morning! All in all, one remarkable experience.

Best view ever! Food at upstairs restaurant was amazing, Dimos’s service was top notch. The hot tub made it so relaxing after all the walking/hiking. The only issue is the stairs so talk to Minas about paying for a porter with the luggage. Custom breakfast brought to your door was the best way to wake up in the morning….and again with the view!!!

Incredible views. Location is surprisingly quiet for being so close to crowed lanes. Spacious rooms with private outdoor hot tubs. Dining option on upper level provides an incredible sunset view. The friendly, efficient TOP-NOTCH staff really sets this hotel apart.

We stayed here in Oct. 2022. Property was amazing. Very small resort i think only 5 suites. Staff was amazing knew us by name, Mary at front desk was first class. By far the best location in Santorini. Our room (as well as the other 5) was right at the top of the famous stairs, with completely unobstructed views of the sea. Sit right in your hot tub having a beer and watching the cruise ships. Restaurant on property is amazing, food, service, and location directly on top of the resort with unbelievable views. You can walk out of your suite and everything from shopping, restaurants, pubs and rentals was right there. Would def. stay there again if going back.

This was my third trip to Santorini and first stay at this property and it has certainly been the best of all my experiences. The staff are very friendly and helpful, Minos at front desk is helpful and knowledgeable and Dimos who cooks and serves breakfast to your room is great. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for anyone there. The rooms are fabulous, the plunge pool is refreshing and has spectacular views of the Caldera. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central location with fabulous views and excellent service. For those with accessibility issues, there are quite a few steps down to this hotel as with many on the island. We had large suitcases but the staff carried them to the bus depot for us for a reasonable fee which was well worth it!! Can’t say enough could things about this hotel, truly a memorable vacation :)

Stayed here for three nights as part of a Greek island hopping itinerary. What a great choice. This little resort consists of 5 rooms and a massive restaurant on top. Our suite came with a hot tub overlooking the sea and Volcano. WOW! . Once in a life time view. Breakfast served on the patio from a made to order list. Delicious and authentic.room was restocked daily with water, coffeee and juice. Clients staying at the hotel get a 20% discount at the restaurant. Food was so good we had dinner there twice. On request the hotel made arrangements for pick up at the port for 40 euros. We were met by staff who carried the luggage to the room. LOTS of stairs in Fira and island of Santorini. The hotel is also located on top the the old port. This is where day excursions leave. You can walk down the stairs(600 of them) or take a donkey or gondola go dała up or down. Perfect location. We also took a bus back to the port for 2.50 euro per person. Station is a 10 minute walk and ride is 20 min. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Don’t think twice and book. You will not regret it. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable.

Wow. Amazing stay. Gorgeous modern room with a private hot (great temperature) tub. Right in the heart of the best part of the best town (Fira) on the island! We watched the cable car and donkeys from our balcony that overlooked the caldera and all the boats, cruise ships and sunset (May). We did an afternoon trip to Oia which was wonderful. However, we loved getting back to our wonderful accommodation! The provided morning breakfast was sensational. Hot, delicious and plentiful! We let Dimos know that we were going to have our celebration anniversary dinner at the restaurant and we were treated like dear old friends with not one, but two choices of a reserved tables each in a perfect spot and service that was many times over-the-top par excellence! We haven’t felt this good about any dining experience we’ve had in many years! Thank you Dimos and to all the staff that made our stay sensational! The accommodation, restaurant, Fira town day and night was everything we hoped and dreamed it would be!

Amazing View! The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious. The staff were all very kind and helpful. The room is very spacious and clean. Amenities were replenished every day. I would recommend it to everyone. It was a fantastic stay.

Que dire : tout est parfait. Un porteur nous attendait pour emporter les bagages jusqu’à l hôtel dans le dédale de ruelles et d escaliers, la réceptionniste est d une gentillesse exceptionelle, la chambre troglodyte est très propre, spacieuse et originale avec une grande salle de bain. Jacuzzi avec vue sur la caldera c est le top. Et petit déjeuner copieux et goûteux. Rien à redire si ce n est que ce serait mieux pour l environnement de demander aux touristes si ils souhaitent avoir leur peignoir et serviettes changées chaque jour. Hôtel très bien situé. Proche de la gare de bus. Un excellent endroit.

Staff were excellent. Property was clean and just above the steps from the port (which also means you are right above the donkeys …so you can smell them). The views are amazing. and it’s easy to walk around town.

Charming, spotless, unique, apartment with stunning views in the heart of Fira. Luggage was happily stored whist we started to explore Santorini. A complementary drink at check-in, our own spa, 20% off at dinner and a packed breakfast due to an early departure were all appreciated. Staff were fantastic.

Struttura top nel centro di Fira, personale gentilissimo, bellissima la camera dotata di bollitore ed ogni comfort, ambienti puliti ed accoglienti. Ottima la colazione ed emozionante la vista Sulla caldera. La Jacuzzi ad uso esclusivo e i lettini per prendere il sole rendono il soggiorno ancora più bello e rilassante. Ritorneremo sicuramente.
Struttura top nel centro di Fira, personale gentilissimo, bellissima la camera dotata di bollitore ed ogni comfort, ambienti puliti ed accoglienti. Ottima la colazione ed emozionante la vista Sulla caldera. La Jacuzzi ad uso esclusivo e i lettini per prendere il sole rendono il soggiorno ancora più bello e rilassante. Ritorneremo sicuramente.

We are extremely happy we chose this location for our time in Santorini. The room was exceptionally clean, with new and highly functional appliances. We booked the junior suite and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the patio. The location was close to the bus terminal and the Fira shopping areas and the sunset view was stunning (particularly since our private patio allowed us to avoid the crowds). Our hosts went out of the way to take care of us and made sure that our trip was everything we wanted it to be. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Fira.

The staff makes it the best. The view is fantastic, the hot tub clean and very romantic to be in after a day walking around or dancing at the bars. But the staff is really exceptional. The maid is the most meticulous keeping the place clean of any hotel I have ever stayed at. Yassas!

A vista é incrível, o atendimento é perfeito, a localização, as instalações, a limpeza, toda a experiência em Santorini ficou muito melhor com a hospedagem neste local. O café da manhã delicioso com vista para a caldeira é de tirar o fôlego! Quero voltar logo e recomendo a todos os viajantes ficarem neste local!!

Amazing View! The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious. The staff were all very kind and helpful. The room is very spacious and clean. Amenities were replenished every day. I would recommend it to everyone. It was a fantastic stay.

From start to finish an amazing experience. Breakfast on the balcony allows u to soak in the view. Watching the sunset from your own room without all the crowds was fantastic. We stayed in the Maria suite which was very spacious & excellently maintained. Very friendly & accommodating staff.

Incredible views. Location is surprisingly quiet for being so close to crowed lanes. Spacious rooms with private outdoor hot tubs. Dining option on upper level provides an incredible sunset view. The friendly, efficient TOP-NOTCH staff really sets this hotel apart.

This was my third trip to Santorini and first stay at this property and it has certainly been the best of all my experiences. The staff are very friendly and helpful, Minos at front desk is helpful and knowledgeable and Dimos who cooks and serves breakfast to your room is great. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for anyone there. The rooms are fabulous, the plunge pool is refreshing and has spectacular views of the Caldera. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central location with fabulous views and excellent service. For those with accessibility issues, there are quite a few steps down to this hotel as with many on the island. We had large suitcases but the staff carried them to the bus depot for us for a reasonable fee which was well worth it!! Can’t say enough could things about this hotel, truly a memorable vacation :)

Wow. Amazing stay. Gorgeous modern room with a private hot (great temperature) tub. Right in the heart of the best part of the best town (Fira) on the island! We watched the cable car and donkeys from our balcony that overlooked the caldera and all the boats, cruise ships and sunset (May). We did an afternoon trip to Oia which was wonderful. However, we loved getting back to our wonderful accommodation! The provided morning breakfast was sensational. Hot, delicious and plentiful! We let Dimos know that we were going to have our celebration anniversary dinner at the restaurant and we were treated like dear old friends with not one, but two choices of a reserved tables each in a perfect spot and service that was many times over-the-top par excellence! We haven’t felt this good about any dining experience we’ve had in many years! Thank you Dimos and to all the staff that made our stay sensational! The accommodation, restaurant, Fira town day and night was everything we hoped and dreamed it would be!

Our stay at Fanari was wonderful. Our room and private patio made for a very intimate and comfortable stay. The views were beautiful and everything you could hope for when staying in Santorini. The hotels restaurant was terrific and the location was perfectly center to the main attractions of Fira. Additionally, Dimos is the greatest staff member we have ever met at any stay.

This hotel has amazing views. We enjoyed watching the sunset from our hot tub with some wine. The restaurant right above the hotel is amazing. Right in the heart of Fira with countless restaurants and shops just steps from the hotel. Customer service was excellent. We felt like royalty staying here. Breakfast served to us on our balcony was superb. Dimos went above and beyond, leaving us food for our early start the next morning and always being so friendly. This is definitely the place to stay in Santorini, hands down. Worth every penny.

Best view ever! Food at upstairs restaurant was amazing, Dimos’s service was top notch. The hot tub made it so relaxing after all the walking/hiking. The only issue is the stairs so talk to Minas about paying for a porter with the luggage. Custom breakfast brought to your door was the best way to wake up in the morning….and again with the view!!!

The staff were excellent in this smaller accommodation (5) suites. Very helpful in bringing baggage to the room as Fira is very steep. In addition the breakfast being se3to the room, the restaurant had some wonderful food at reasonable prices. We were treated very well and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Terrible customer service, never responded to my request about transportation to arrive, have to carry own baggage with a lot of stairs and extremely hot weather. Even worse, they promised to send us somebody to help with our suitcases ( they charge for each one $15 euros) . We have earlier flight reception was closed. The worst part nobody showed up. My husband has to carry all suitcases ( we are not young people) !!! I travel a lot , newer had this issue before . Never wrote bad reviews even if the property wasn’t good. 😁

Stavroula greeted us with smile and warmth. We enjoyed the complimentary wine . She offer us bottle of water when we return that felt like a house . She is a humble person and even see offed is taking out luggage while leaving. We felt the warmth whoever works there. We will recommend our family and friends when we go back home.

Charming, spotless, unique, apartment with stunning views in the heart of Fira. Luggage was happily stored whist we started to explore Santorini. A complementary drink at check-in, our own spa, 20% off at dinner and a packed breakfast due to an early departure were all appreciated. Staff were fantastic.

This boutique hotel is in a prime location in Fira with its rooms having a marvellous sea view and the view of the caldera. Its restaurant which is above the rooms is top notch in service as well as offering a good range of Greek and European cuisine. Sunset dinners there has been a must for us (discount given for hotel guests). Our stay was made memorable by the excellent service provided by its staff especially Dimos who took care of our needs as well as serving us daily breakfast in our room. The climb of steps can be a real challenge especially for those with heavy luggage and for the elderly. This hotel is about 400m from the car drop-off point so I will suggest that one needs to make prior arrangements with the hotel if help is needed.

The Fanari Vista Suites far exceeded our expectations. The website photos were beautiful but the reality was breathtaking. Our hostess Stavroula was a joy and made our stay very easy and enjoyable. Our suite had its own hot tub on the balcony with the most spectacular views of the sea and volcano. The suites are also situated at the very start of the steps which lead down to the old port. You can take a boat trip from there and then take a cable car back up the cliff to the main town of Fira. The suites are right beside all the little pathways of the quaint arty shops and 5 minutes from the main road. Despite this proximity to everything, the suites and balcony are very serene and peaceful. Visitors are also given 20% off the Fanari restaurant on its doorstep which is very good and this makes it amazing value. Also, your choice of breakfast is brought to your own patio on a tray every morning! All in all, one remarkable experience.

Beautiful view, balcony & hot tub! It is on top of a hill with many steps, so you do need to be in good shape. There is a donkey ride to town (600 steps down)where you can go on a bus tour, restaurants & shops. There is a cable car also up

We are extremely happy we chose this location for our time in Santorini. The room was exceptionally clean, with new and highly functional appliances. We booked the junior suite and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the patio. The location was close to the bus terminal and the Fira shopping areas and the sunset view was stunning (particularly since our private patio allowed us to avoid the crowds). Our hosts went out of the way to take care of us and made sure that our trip was everything we wanted it to be. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Fira.

Stayed here for three nights as part of a Greek island hopping itinerary. What a great choice. This little resort consists of 5 rooms and a massive restaurant on top. Our suite came with a hot tub overlooking the sea and Volcano. WOW! . Once in a life time view. Breakfast served on the patio from a made to order list. Delicious and authentic.room was restocked daily with water, coffeee and juice. Clients staying at the hotel get a 20% discount at the restaurant. Food was so good we had dinner there twice. On request the hotel made arrangements for pick up at the port for 40 euros. We were met by staff who carried the luggage to the room. LOTS of stairs in Fira and island of Santorini. The hotel is also located on top the the old port. This is where day excursions leave. You can walk down the stairs(600 of them) or take a donkey or gondola go dała up or down. Perfect location. We also took a bus back to the port for 2.50 euro per person. Station is a 10 minute walk and ride is 20 min. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Don’t think twice and book. Stayed here for three nights as part of a Greek island hopping itinerary. What a great choice. This little resort consists of 5 rooms and a massive restaurant on top. Our suite came with a hot tub overlooking the sea and Volcano. WOW! . Once in a life time view. Breakfast served on the patio from a made to order list. Delicious and authentic.room was restocked daily with water, coffeee and juice. Clients staying at the hotel get a 20% discount at the restaurant. Food was so good we had dinner there twice. On request the hotel made arrangements for pick up at the port for 40 euros. We were met by staff who carried the luggage to the room. LOTS of stairs in Fira and island of Santorini. The hotel is also located on top the the old port. This is where day excursions leave. You can walk down the stairs(600 of them) or take a donkey or gondola go dała up or down. Perfect location. We also took a bus back to the port for 2.50 euro per person. Station is a 10 minute walk and ride is 20 min. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Don’t think twice and book. You will not regret it. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable.

This hotel has amazing views. We enjoyed watching the sunset from our hot tub with some wine. The restaurant right above the hotel is amazing. Right in the heart of Fira with countless restaurants and shops just steps from the hotel. Customer service was excellent. We felt like royalty staying here. Breakfast served to us on our balcony was superb. Dimos went above and beyond, leaving us food for our early start the next morning and always being so friendly. This is definitely the place to stay in Santorini, hands down. Worth every penny.

What can we say! Our stay at Fanari made our vacation the trip of a lifetime! The service from Dimos and Stavroula was first class. The room itself was beautiful. Bathroom and the shower were so fun. Like a cave! And then jacuzzi! Oh the jacuzzi. On our semi private patio. So lovely! Dimos took our breakfast order and delivered it to our caldera view patio every morning. The food was delicious. Omlettes, yogurt, croissants! Yummy! But the highlight was the sunset view. It was breathtaking and we didn’t get a sunset view like that anywhere else in Greece. The price, the service, the food, the room= worth every penny. Now for a warning for those with bad knees, backs, immobility issues: what makes the hotel so special is being on the cliff with the view of the caldera.. this means walking about 5 minutes up and down some cobble stone steps and roads to get to the hotel. If you call ahead, Dimos will help you with the bags! But I can see how for those with mobility issues, there might be some difficulty. I cant recommend this hotel enough. It was our oasis and we will be comparing everything else to it for now on!

This boutique hotel is in a prime location in Fira with its rooms having a marvellous sea view and the view of the caldera. Its restaurant which is above the rooms is top notch in service as well as offering a good range of Greek and European cuisine. Sunset dinners there has been a must for us (discount given for hotel guests). Our stay was made memorable by the excellent service provided by its staff especially Dimos who took care of our needs as well as serving us daily breakfast in our room. The climb of steps can be a real challenge especially for those with heavy luggage and for the elderly. This hotel is about 400m from the car drop-off point so I will suggest that one needs to make prior arrangements with the hotel if help is needed.

Best view ever! Food at upstairs restaurant was amazing, Dimos’s service was top notch. The hot tub made it so relaxing after all the walking/hiking. The only issue is the stairs so talk to Minas about paying for a porter with the luggage. Custom breakfast brought to your door was the best way to wake up in the morning….and again with the view!!!

Incredible views. Location is surprisingly quiet for being so close to crowed lanes. Spacious rooms with private outdoor hot tubs. Dining option on upper level provides an incredible sunset view. The friendly, efficient TOP-NOTCH staff really sets this hotel apart.

Amazing views, very comfortable, incredible personal service, outstanding breakfast each morning. Be prepared to walk up and down...everything in Santorini is hilly. Rhe view is second to none. Dimos is an amazing and friendly manager. My wife and I thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed our visit. They have an excellent restaurant right above the suites and lots of shopping. What a special property in a special place in the world. I highly recommend this.

We had a great experience at Fanari! The staff were amazing! Especially Demos! Thank you so much for making us feel so special! The location was very good! The breakfast was extremely delicious, we ate at their restaurant too, really good food. The sunset view from the hot tub outside our room was breathtaking! Highly recommend this place

We had a lovely stay here, helpful staff and great breakfast each morning. The room and living area are spacious, large bathroom and each villa has its own outdoor spa. The view is magnificent, great sunset photos without any crowds around you. It's a convenient location once you have arrived although it's a decent walk from drop off point and pick up point with your bags. Approximately 5 - 8 minutes walk each way. Once we were there, it was so worth it. The hotel can, for a fee, meet you and help and or carry your bags for you. We did this and it worked really well. You overlook the cruise ships too which was interesting, only negative was the smell of the donkeys as they were in very close proximity and are used along with cable cars as an option for the cruise ship passengers to go from shore to cliff top. We would recommend the accommodation and would stay again.

Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. Lati and Michalis are truly the kindest, most caring, and genuinely wonderful people we’ve ever met. Their hospitality made our engagement celebration more epic and special than we could have imagined, and they made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Everything was perfect. The breathtaking views, phenomenal breakfast, incredible location, and the hot tub temperature that somehow felt perfect whether it was day or night. The rooms were insanely clean, beautifully kept, and had amazing water pressure. But what we’ll remember most is the warmth and care from Lati and Michalis. This stay will forever be one of the highest points of our lives and will always hold a special place in our hearts. We’ll be dreaming of the day we can return. Also- Michalis made sure we safely and quickly made it to the port for our ferry. He called and double checked to ensure we made our transport… bottom line, if you’re reading this- BOOK IT! It will be the best decision you make- and seriously, the breakfast is amazing and from the restaurant above. I wish we had more time to eat at Fanari for food- but wow. We will forever be grateful for the hospitality- made Santorini everything you think it should be.

The rooms was clean and upkeep by their great housekeeper. The front desk was great and gave his WhatsApp number in case on off hours. The backup does waitering at their restaurant but helps with portering and other things. You also get 20% off their restaurant. They make sure you have a nice and pleasant vacation. I had no worries at all there

Wow. We had the junior suite booked. The room was as expected, the personal jacuzzi was bigger and more secluded than the other rooms. The view was great. The breakfast brought to your room, phenomenal. The staff we interacted with, all awesome. We dined at the restaurant one evening as we had a discount for staying with them and everything was so good and the zucchini patties were to die for. The donkey smell, mentioned in reviews was hardly noticeable while there, you can smell a little every now and then but not enough to deter us from this place. 10/10. Would stay here again. Thank you!
