Homewood Suites by Hilton Washington DC NoMa Union Station

Just a heads-up, you’ll smell marijuana in the elevator. We were initially given a room that smelled strongly of cigarettes (and we have kids with us) and both the microwave and telephone were not working- you have to use the speaker phone to use their room phone. It was a very unpleasant experience. The staff did try to help, although we were initially told there were no clean rooms available. I chose to wait, and thankfully they were able to move us to another room, which was better. Unfortunately, the breakfast was not good either.

Room was very clean, shuttle was convent

The property and staff was kind and the room and ares were very clean- I would have given a 5 Star-But I arrived on a Thursday Night to visit my Duaghter whos is college and she and a friend came over to get away from Campus to relax- That was the last thing we were able to do becuase there was so much loud music at night till 3:30 am in the morning during each night we stayed- I thought it was the floor over me and they I call and complained and they informed that it was the club next door to the hotel and that they have complained for years. I reviewed the guess sheet for a warning or disclaimer of some sort and there was none posted. It was very disheartening, as we barely could get any rest until the club closed; which caused us to oversleep and even miss the complimentary breakfast one of the mornings. Other than this issue then hotel is nice clean and the breakfast was very good.

The pillows were absolutely awful. When I walked in my room, my tv remote wasn’t connected, my hotel phone didn’t work. A little bit of a heavier comforter would’ve been nice. Ice machines didn’t work so had to get ice from across the way at the connecting hotel. Staff was absolutely great though. So nice and pleasant.

Great location, unfriendly and unwelcoming front desk staff. Rooms are outdated and no smart TV.
