The property was just as described. Be careful when pulling in the entrance because the drive was deeply rutted. This is the first time I've ever stayed in a place that did not have ice available. Luckily I was able to drive back down the road to the coffee shop that was still open and buy a couple cups of ice. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Unfortunately Direct TV was not working so we had no entertainment other than listening to the guy upstairs walking around most of the night. I would definitely recommend staying in the upstairs room if they are available. Mainly because if you have no TV as a distraction you'll be listening to the upstairs guests. If you visit bring a cooler so you have ice if you want something cool to drink. If you want a comfy bed and clean bathroom and only need the "bear" necessities this is a good place to visit for a night.

Place is fine. Drawbacks are, no wifi, cell service is only available outside, an old camper parked in the parking lot next to the fire pit, an abandoned car in the parking lot. Otherwise, the room is fine. Great BBQ right across the street along with a small general/liquor store.

The property is very cute. The bridge to get there is scary. There are two holes that a small child could fall through and hit the river. The bed is not very comfortable. Overall though it was worth the money paid and was a good time. I would stay here again.

We were a little concerned when we pulled up and saw the truck with two flat tires that had been there for a while and the neglected state of the property. However we were pleasantly surprised with our room. It was clean and perfect for just needing a place to shower and relax after a long day of hiking.

Simple hotel to suit the purpose of exploring National Bridge SP and SUP Kentucky. They conveniently left us keys for our rooms after hours. Key return was also convenient since we had to leave before business hours. It was close to an amazing coffee shop that served good breakfast and lunch. Only things lacking were wi-if (in an area with horrible signal) and an ice machine.

We liked the room, the staff at the Daniel boon gift shop were very friendly and pleasant. One thing that was an eye soar was an old camper and an old ford explorer with flat tires, both took up parking space and not a lot of room to park our motorcycles and trailers. Their were 4 other couples who trailered motorcycles at the sametime. We all we're told someone would be their to let us know where to park, and no one was their. So the next day Monday we were told by the lady that lives their our trailer needed to be move by 7 am Tuesday because the garbage truck will be their at that time. If the camper and the ford explorer were moved,it would have provided better looking/views and parking.

Didn’t know where to get keys took 10-15 min and had to ask a local. Room was filthy -all linen on floor trash on floor and table and no towels. Had to call and go get another room. Bed was okay not great No wifi

The property was great, right in the RRG and across the street from a BBQ pit and bar. The only issue was the hotel room was infested with stink bugs. They did smell or really cause an issue. But they were there.

The room had a really bad odor! We had to leave the door open for a while to try to air it out. It's old wood, but could probably be cleaned with a nice smelling wood cleaner. We were on the bottom level and could hear every footstep loudly above us! Couldn't fall asleep until the people above us did! The bedding and towels appeared old also! Unfortunately, not a pleasant stay😞

I was in one of the bottom rooms. Cute and all but the smell was really bad. Musty and the bedding felt damp. I was only there one night and only slept for 5 hours before I left because I couldn’t stand the smell which was giving me a sinus headache.

The hotel was really cute. The room seemed quite clean. There was, however, an overwhelming smell of mold. Beyond musty. We actually had to go and buy candles because it was very strong and unpleasant. We were in room 101. I do not know if this is the only room with the funk or not?

Great motel tucked away ! I traveled solo for this trip and was very surprised with how much I loved it ! The cabin feel in the room was just amazing ! All staff that I came in contact with were very friendly and even made recommendations for trails I should see while I was there. Cell service was very spotty if any at all but a great way to disconnect! Bed was comfortable TV was great. Loved that each room has chairs outside to relax and enjoy the view. Food was not as easy to find many restaurants that were open. I would definitely stay here again ! Also, the Daniel Boone Coffee Shop where you check in is super cute great local shop and food was very good and reasonably priced.

This is an older property, but well maintained. The only negatives were a musty smell when we first entered our room and a finicky "smart" TV. We either got used to the smell or it disappeared when we turned the air on. The TV wouldn't let me sign into my Netflix account. It did however let me sign into Prime. Overall a great stay for the price.

This was a really cute little place and my kids really loved it. It is true, you don’t get very good service at this location, but that’s to be expected. My only issue with the whole experience was the walls were very thin, and you could literally hear the conversations in the next rooms.

Chosen based on budgets so we weren't expecting the Ritz. Price was 1/3 less than Natural Bridge State Park lodge and reasonable for a prime location in a popular tourist area - ideal for our purpose of visiting trails and arches throughout the Red River Gorge Area. Check-in staff (down the road) were friendly and efficient. The room was reasonably furnished as pictured and things worked. We liked the wood based interior. Bonus - we were on the 2nd floor which means we had a vaulted ceiling. There rain at night and we could hear it on the roof which was a plus for us. Room blacks out well. Main downside - the beds were sort of like sleeping on plywood and need replacing. Minor quibbles - took forever to get hot water in the sink (but no problem in the shower which had great water pressure) and the floors under the bed should have been vacuumed months ago. NOTE: Main motel photo is not from the motel but from the nearby Natural Bridge State Park and doesn't represent the motel.

There was never any mention that there is no Wi-Fi, a pretty standard expectation. That would not have been an issue if there were cell service, but the hotel is in a dead zone: 150 ft away from the room and we’d get 2-3 bars. Finally, they say “no pets”, but the folks in the room next to ours had a little dog that yipped regularly. We spent more of our down time at the coffee shop down the road (a gem, btw!) than in our room. Not a great lodging experience, I am afraid!

Charged my card before we arrived, despite my choosing to pay at the property at check in. The card on file with Travelocity is not the card I planned to use for this visit, and now the transaction has caused banking issues. The listing was not very detailed, I needed a handicap accessible room with two beds. The only rooms with two beds are upstairs (no elevator.) When I asked to change rooms to accommodate my disability the woman at check in was extremely rude and condescending, telling me I should have read their website. If you’re going to list on a third party, the company needs to ensure the listing is accurate.

They now have Wifii. The place is simple, but they have everything you need. Feels like a cabin. We arrived late, but the receptionist texted me the instructions. The stores around close early.

When I got to the hotel to check in I was handed a key. I asked about when I pay and they said we charged your credit card 2 hours ago. I did not authorize this charge. The reservation said pay at hotel. I was not giving a receipt and there was no internet service anywhere in the area and no Wi-Fi at the hotel so I could not even see what they charged me. When we got into the room overall it was clean, but there was used towels and washcloth left hanging on the hook in the bathroom. The bed and the pillows were quite uncomfortable.

It’s a cute motel right by the Natural Bridges State Park. There is a good pizza place, a Mexican Restaurant, a coffee shop, and ice cream shop nearby, as well as other shopping. Room was clean and had a fridge and microwave and WiFi. A little musty but ok. After hours (4 pm) your key is in a clear box in an envelope with your name on it in the front of a building that’s a strip mall which seemed a little too trusting to me. The office door is off property and is locked with a sign saying employees only. Beautiful area!

Chosen based on budgets so we weren't expecting the Ritz. Price was 1/3 less than Natural Bridge State Park lodge and reasonable for a prime location in a popular tourist area - ideal for our purpose of visiting trails and arches throughout the Red River Gorge Area. Check-in staff (down the road) were friendly and efficient. The room was reasonably furnished as pictured and things worked. We liked the wood based interior. Bonus - we were on the 2nd floor which means we had a vaulted ceiling. There rain at night and we could hear it on the roof which was a plus for us. Room blacks out well. Main downside - the beds were sort of like sleeping on plywood and need replacing. Minor quibbles - took forever to get hot water in the sink (but no problem in the shower which had great water pressure) and the floors under the bed should have been vacuumed months ago. NOTE: Main motel photo is not from the motel but from the nearby Natural Bridge State Park and doesn't represent the motel.

Great motel tucked away ! I traveled solo for this trip and was very surprised with how much I loved it ! The cabin feel in the room was just amazing ! All staff that I came in contact with were very friendly and even made recommendations for trails I should see while I was there. Cell service was very spotty if any at all but a great way to disconnect! Bed was comfortable TV was great. Loved that each room has chairs outside to relax and enjoy the view. Food was not as easy to find many restaurants that were open. I would definitely stay here again ! Also, the Daniel Boone Coffee Shop where you check in is super cute great local shop and food was very good and reasonably priced.

Great 3 night stay at lodge. Close to trails for hiking. The Daniel Boone Coffee shop was perfect for our morning coffee, They have great breafast food, reasonable prices. Some restaurant and stores not open days we were there. Mexican and pizza restaurant down the road was yummy.

The room was very clean. We slept really well. Was cute like a log cabin room. We were able to walk across the road and get food and listen to some really good music. The location is great close to the highway and there is a very quaint coffee shop breakfast place very close. The parking is great.

We arrived 3+hours early for check in & enjoyed sitting @ the coffee shop while waiting for the room to be prepared. We were able to check in early & found the room rustic looking for this area of Kentucky as well as clean & comfortable. Family restaurants & internet were within a mile of the lodge.

Simple hotel to suit the purpose of exploring National Bridge SP and SUP Kentucky. They conveniently left us keys for our rooms after hours. Key return was also convenient since we had to leave before business hours. It was close to an amazing coffee shop that served good breakfast and lunch. Only things lacking were wi-if (in an area with horrible signal) and an ice machine.

It is a super cute and in a great spot close to everything. When we got there the lights and plugs weren’t working. The staff was on it though and fixed the issue fast. The place was so clean. The coffee maker wasn’t working properly. The bed was horrible. Now I know that’s probably not a big deal for some but man. We only got two flat pillows but at the request of more they brought them fast. I do love it but not sure if I will go back until they get a way better mattress. Price was reasonable also.

The lodge was a great place. We loved the country look it had, how clean the place was, and how helpful the staff was. The shower fixture was hard to turn because it was tight, but other than that we loved the place and definitely will be back.

Location was great! Check in was quick and easy. However the light/fan in the bathroom made us worry. It sometimes would run and then sometimes sound like it was not. May want to get that checked out so no chance of fire. Perhaps checking the cleanliness of the towels and adding some air fresheners to the room would help. It was perfect for a quick little weekend trip.
