This must have been a gem in its heyday! Finishes a tad tired, but the place definitely has good bones.

Beautiful location on the lake-side of the highway. Could use some updating and a little more attention to cleanliness.

Restaurant and staff were excellent. The pool area used for advertising is in bad need of repair as are the pool buildings

Staff was nice, tv was decent, but the property was run down, old and musty. Mildew around windows, carpet was gross, dark and dreary.

We LOVED IT! The staff were lovely, the rooms cozy, the pool was fun and the buffet breakfast was AMAZING!

The owners/managers and other staff were friendly and ensured our stay was the best possible. We only stayed one night, as planned. The room was very clean and the queen bed very comfortable. The only negative of the room was a very worn carpet, although it was as clean as possible. Breakfast of eggs, bacon, home potato fries with onion if desired, homemade toast and tea or coffee with refills was included with the room rental. The dining area is bright, nicely decorated and very clean. Overall very pleased and recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced average motel.

Staff are friendly, rooms are outdated but not terrible, lamps on the wall do not work but the plug in ones do and have a wireless phine charger built in / alarm clock ,room dose have a AC Unit old school style that hangs out the window, rooms have baseboard heat tho changing the thermostat dose not seem to effect the lvl of heat at all i belive its fixed to one setting , tv is very small hard to see for normal person ,let alone someone wirh visual porblems , toilet shifts around when you sit on it ,shower had cob webs on it ,water pressure was good ,tho the tempature seems to go betwen hot and cold, was a fly swatter in yhe medicine cabinet. Floors are stained / dirty carpet our bedding was dirty upon arrivial, all and all wouls nkt be terible if u needed a place to stop well on the road , but needs updating and better attention to cleanliness. Biggest issue was price . Should be a $80-90 room at most it was $160 same price as Hotels (not motels like this was ) loke the Chateau, Holliday inn etc which are way nicer and cleaner and offer way more . Breakfast was said to be included onky to find out it is not in winter time .weird but okay ,we tried the restaurant again staff where very nice ,tho food was laking in taste and preparation had a Hot turkey which had so many bones in it u gave up eating it , fries where good ,gfs chciken wrap was just okay nothing to write home about. Alcoholic drinks where reasonably priced . Dining are it self was very dark/depressing

Despite it's age, the room seemed clean. Staff was difficult to find on check in and non existent on key return the next morning. There was also a question of payment (Same day non-refundable booking); why state the rate is non-refundable and allow a booking to go thru without payment?

The staff didn't know how to check me in because I booked through expedia. The room was clean but old and the shower was almost impossible to regulate. The breakfast and service in the restaurant was the best part of the stay.

No frills presentation. Rooms are small and furnishings are old and worn, but the room was spotless and the bedding was luxurious, clean and fresh. The staff is super friendly and hands on. The breakfast is home cooked and delicious.

Nice motel. We were only there for 1 night so didn't use any of the facilities. But a decent place - room seemed very clean.

I would stay here again the breakfast was great. The rooms are old but clean and mostly well taken care of.

Place was opened in the early 70's I don't think anything has been updated. The mattress was very nice,that was the only good part of the stay.

The heat was set to zero in the room, but the temperature was 25 degrees Celsius.

Ces petits motels ont probablement moins de budget pour rénover leurs bâtiments et les chambres. Le restaurant est accueillant, le personnel souriant et serviable et la nourriture est plutôt bonne (repas style maison et des légumes et bonne salade) La chambre est dans un état de délabrement avancé. Il n’y a rien que le personnel d’entretien puisse faire pour améliorer l’état des chambres. La porte de la salle de bain ne fermait pas. La chasse d’eau devait être tirée à maintes reprises. Les tapis sont très vieux. En fait tout est vieux. Les lits sont confortables cela dit. Les grandes chaînes font disparaître un à un ces petits motels rustiques d’une autre époque. J’étais hésitant à publier cette critique car j’ignore si ce sont les contraintes budgétaires qui empêchent ce motel de procéder à une remise à neuf ou simplement les propriétaires, sachant qu’ils ne peuvent soutenir la compétition, qui gardent encore ce motel pour quelques années jusqu’à ce qu’il ne puisse plus être exploiter. Ils ne peuvent pas baisser davantage les prix, déjà plus bas que celui des grandes chaînes. À 164$ plus les taxes le prix est élevé. Mais ont ils le choix ? Le Amsterdam inn a Sussex commande un prix d’environ 240$ Ce que nous aurions payé s’il y avait eu une chambre de libre. Le personnel était tellement gentil qu’il est déchirant de devoir critiquer ce motel. Je donne une note de 3 sur 5 car le prix est plus bas etées gens savent à quoi s’attendre.

Their folksy demeanor and relaxed attitude belie a professional commitment to customer satisfaction. This is a great place to decompress. The restaurant is not to be missed. I look forward to my next visit so I can sample more of the menu.

Wasn't the worst motel ive been in wasnt the best either. But, it was decent, pricing was a bit high considering 2 double beds not queens, stated free breakfast but our kids breakfasts were not.... so bot only did we pay a higher price we ebded up having to lay for 2 kids brekfasts.

Le souper excellent.. mais le déjeuner inclus, à éviter. Des œufs ou des rôties.. point final. Si vous êtes amateurs de verres d'eau, servie bien avant le café, c'est la place. Le café, nous l'avons demandé et aucun chocolat chaud pour les jeunes. 2 étoiles et demi semble correct.
