Right next to a driving range and pitch and putt which is why I chose to stay. Abundance of parking. Spacious room, clean, comfortable with all the amenities you need. Very friendly helpful staff. Only issue I had was the toilet flush would get stuck and stay on for a while and couldn’t connect my phone to the tv which I have been able to at other abodes

First time I've stayed here. Used to live in the area - Great location for arrival and departure in CBR by Car. Right off Hindmarsh Drive which connects directly to the Monaro Hwy/Federal Hwy making for an easy arrival and departure. Kitchen fit out was sufficient to make quick on the go type meals when not dining out at a restaurant. Definitely enough to head some pot noodles, make cereal, toast for brekky. Manuka shops are located a short drive away. Bus service to the city is a short walk away of about 2 blocks if you need it, but check the timetable as services can be infrequent, particularly on weekends and public holidays. I usually stay in an older complex in the Forrest/Manuka area. Abode apartments are much newer and very comfortable. Price is great comparing to similar options in the local area such as Forrest, Curtin, Kingston. Oh - almost forgot to mention - the free parking in the MASSIVE open air car park is a winner. Overall will definitely consider repeat visit. It's on my shortlist now for consideration next time I wish to have a weekend getaway from Sydney.

Initially unable to check in, email of process would have been helpful. Needed a table and chairs in the room to make the most of the kitchen. Otherwise comfortable stay. Location good, near golf course and not too far from centre. Free parking a bonus.

Return travellers to Abode Narrabundah. Very disappointed with disgusting mould and scum build up around the shower frame which meant we skipped showers. Carpet in the living area was dirty. General dirtiness over the whole room. First experience was fine - will not book here again after this experience.

I used to stay here often. I like the easy parking, late checkin with box code after long day on road and modern size of room off Monaro Hwy. This trip was really disappointing. Check in after hours although clean bed and bathroom room stunk of dog, fleas on kitchenette bench, cockroaches greeted me on floor. I sneezed all night with windows wide open. It takes a lot for me to write such a review, but when i addressed with reception I got a weak apology and an offer of a small discount next time… but I don’t think there will be a next time Abode I’ll stay elsewhere!

When we arrived, we were informed that the central air conditioning system wasn’t working, which was concerning given it was a very hot day and the overnight temperature was expected to drop to 4°C. I was told they had been unable to reach me using the contact details provided, although there had been earlier communication about a room request so that didn’t make any sense. The room was too hot to stay in the day of our arrival so we spent most of it at a local shopping centre which wasn’t ideal. They had provided small heaters which came in handy overnight. The hotel itself is actually much nicer than it appeared online, and the only reason for my lower rating is the noise. The walls are paper thin, so we didn’t sleep well. As it’s a pet-friendly hotel, there were dogs barking, and we were woken early by the sound of kitchen cupboards snapping shut in neighbouring rooms. You can also hear every conversation in the hallway, and the doors close loudly, so you’re aware every time someone leaves their room. There was a strong cleaning smell when entering our room, unsure if the carpets had just been cleaned however we adjusted to it after a while. There was also a clump of hair in the shower drain which indicated the shower hadn’t been cleaned since the last guests departed. Beds are singles pushed together and extremely soft. All of us had sore backs the following day because of this. Location is out of town so quiet area with lots of parking and short drive to the city.

The room(s) I had both had a full kitchenette and washing and drying facilities in each room which was a huge advantage in my opinion. The rooms were extremely quiet with no noise from neighbours or outside traffic. The first room I stayed in the aircon was not working unfortunately. I didn't need it the first night, so I didn't realise it was broken. The next day whislt at work I contacted the hotel (I left before reception was open in the morning) albeit late in the day (around 4pm) to state that the aircon wasn't working and if something could be done to sort it out. I then arrived about 2 hours later and asked about the aircon to which they said it wasn't fixed, however come back to reception in 10 minutes after packing your room and we'll move you to another. So after 10 minutes, reception had the new room ready for me which was an upgrade to a bigger room with separate lounch and dining room. This new room was actually closer to the main road, but I still didn't hear any sound coming through, so their windows and sound proofing were great. The only downside to the new room was the aircon at first I didn't think was working, but it was just very slow to cool the room down (the room had all the curtains open on a 34 degree celsius day, so obviously heated up considerably). By the next morning the room temperature was comfortable. My only advice to Abode is to get the aircons services as one not working and the other working albeit very slowly isn't ideal.

This was a great place to stay in a really good central location, with plenty of things to do within a fairly short drive. Reception staff were absolutely lovely. The room looks relatively nice but there were just a lot of small things that made it really outdated. Things such as no smart TV, a really crappy showerhead, not very comfortable beds etc 😅 that being said, I would absolutely stay again and if they updated a few things it would elevate people's stays SO much. Not very exciting for families to stay but if you want somewhere clean and fairly central then it's a great place to stay 🙂

They have clothes washing and drying facilities in the room along with a mini fridge and cooking facilities. It’s also great if travelling with kids, depending on what suite you choose there is a seperate room for them in the suite. The other good thing is that it’s a pet friendly, so if travelling with pets this is the place to stay. It’s in walking distance of a nice German restaurant, which we love to dine at. You do have to drive back into the heart of the city, but it’s not far at all. Plenty of parking and has always been safe and quiet. Staff are amazing and so helpful, which is always a bonus.

Booked and paid for the room, for the hotel to then ring us back and say the air-conditioning/heating was not working throughout the hotel. Would not refund amount paid. As booked through wotif, where the room was advertised as having heating, we had to go through wotif to get monies returned Not helpful. If the room is not serviceable, we need to know before paying for it. You can't advertise on websites room is serviceable and has heating, when it does not. We had to book and pay for another hotel - that had heating.

Initially unable to check in, email of process would have been helpful. Needed a table and chairs in the room to make the most of the kitchen. Otherwise comfortable stay. Location good, near golf course and not too far from centre. Free parking a bonus.

Friendly & helpful staff. Fantastic free plentiful car parking. Room well kept, all the amenities you need are in the room. Good road access to the main attractions in Canberra. Great check in process if you need to check in after front desk closed.

The room(s) I had both had a full kitchenette and washing and drying facilities in each room which was a huge advantage in my opinion. The rooms were extremely quiet with no noise from neighbours or outside traffic. The first room I stayed in the aircon was not working unfortunately. I didn't need it the first night, so I didn't realise it was broken. The next day whislt at work I contacted the hotel (I left before reception was open in the morning) albeit late in the day (around 4pm) to state that the aircon wasn't working and if something could be done to sort it out. I then arrived about 2 hours later and asked about the aircon to which they said it wasn't fixed, however come back to reception in 10 minutes after packing your room and we'll move you to another. So after 10 minutes, reception had the new room ready for me which was an upgrade to a bigger room with separate lounch and dining room. This new room was actually closer to the main road, but I still didn't hear any sound coming through, so their windows and sound proofing were great. The only downside to the new room was the aircon at first I didn't think was working, but it was just very slow to cool the room down (the room had all the curtains open on a 34 degree celsius day, so obviously heated up considerably). By the next morning the room temperature was comfortable. My only advice to Abode is to get the aircons services as one not working and the other working albeit very slowly isn't ideal.

I have been to this property several times and never had an issue. The rooms are clean, have all the amenities which you would need for an overnight stay or even a week stay. They have clothes washing and drying facilities in the room along with a mini fridge and cooking facilities. It’s also great if travelling with kids, depending on what suite you choose there is a seperate room for them in the suite. The other good thing is that it’s a pet friendly, so if travelling with pets this is the place to stay. It’s in walking distance of a nice German restaurant, which we love to dine at. You do have to drive back into the heart of the city, but it’s not far at all. Plenty of parking and has always been safe and quiet. Staff are amazing and so helpful, which is always a bonus.

First time I've stayed here. Used to live in the area - Great location for arrival and departure in CBR by Car. Right off Hindmarsh Drive which connects directly to the Monaro Hwy/Federal Hwy making for an easy arrival and departure. Kitchen fit out was sufficient to make quick on the go type meals when not dining out at a restaurant. Definitely enough to head some pot noodles, make cereal, toast for brekky. Manuka shops are located a short drive away. Bus service to the city is a short walk away of about 2 blocks if you need it, but check the timetable as services can be infrequent, particularly on weekends and public holidays. I usually stay in an older complex in the Forrest/Manuka area. Abode apartments are much newer and very comfortable. Price is great comparing to similar options in the local area such as Forrest, Curtin, Kingston. Oh - almost forgot to mention - the free parking in the MASSIVE open air car park is a winner. Overall will definitely consider repeat visit. It's on my shortlist now for consideration next time I wish to have a weekend getaway from Sydney.

The room was modern, bed comfortable, staff helpful and pantry voucher was a nice surprise. Bathroom storage excellent. Shower pressure good. Value for money. Only negative was a bit of a trek from the car park which wasn’t under cover.

Although the room was neat and tidy the lighting in the kitchen was not great which made cooking dinner hard. There were not enough pillows on the bed. It advertised a pantry although was not stocked with much so for the money we paid overall we were disappointed.
