Igloo Hybrid

Amazing place to stay, we had a double room with our own bathroom. Everything was clean, spacious, and comfortable while being convenient and sustainable. The location was right in the city centre but still nice and quiet and the reception staff was the loveliest, giving us local recommendations and letting us leave our luggage during the day. Would definitely recommend!

It’s the first time I’d stayed in a hostel in the UK and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’d definitely stay again. It felt like a home from home, with a warm welcome and great facilities. We stayed in a bunk bed room with no windows as it was the only one left. The beds were comfy and the fan was brilliant at keeping us cool. There were people in the other rooms we shared a bathroom with, but we never saw them. The location was brilliant, we didn’t get chance to use any of the communal facilities but they looked great. Would definitely recommend.

It’s located very central and easily walkable to most city attractions, pubs, restaurants, etc. Stairs only and no parking within 5-10 minutes. 40 hours cost just under GBP30. Wi-Fi in rooms questionable. In the kitchen/ communal area it’s fine. The staff took care of our laundry needs (GBP7 ?) came back fresh and clean . Would happily stay here again

In general all was great,greeted on arrival,told what facilities were available & if we needed anything, only needed to ask.As we were a family of 3,1 person had to sleep on the sofa/futon bed.This wasn't comfortable at all as it had no additional matress/layer for comfort,therefore you could feel the metal bars beneath your body.In the room it's self there's nowhere to place your clothes,no means of hanging facilities for the duration of your stay only coat hooks.In the bathroom albeit it's very clean & ideal there is no where to place your toiletries,no shelf or otherwise, so again a little difficult to unpack anything as such.Fine for a night maybe but any longer, depending on the person & their belongings,it becomes a bit odd living out of a case or bag as you can't really properly unpack.I wished that the bath/shower towels had been slightly larger too,for bigger/larger sized people they are on the small side & fit where they touch should we say.Not the whole population the world over are slender,so maybe a better fit with bath sheets as apposed to towels that way they fit all the way around.Very helpful staff indeed,even to finding a mobile phone charger, to borrow temporarily, for my daughter who'd forgotten her correct lead to travel with.Without hesitation I would stay here again, extra facilities of a communal area & kitchen are advantageous as well as pleasant,friendly staff,their want to help you when needed, nothing is too much trouble & luggage storage too

This place is just great! The staff were funny and helpful, and the communal kitchen was excellent. Nice mix of hostel and hotel.

I loved this place! Everyone was quite friendly, the accomodations and location were perfect for me. Very comfortable and I like the fact that I didn't have to share a bedroom with someone else. There is a full kitchen for guests to use and that was fantastic given that I have serious food allergies and often cannot eat in restaurants when I travel.

Just a 1 night stay for a family party. Basic room, fab price & location. Clean, had everything we needed. Staff were friendly, offered free tea & coffee in morning although we didn't actually take it! Would def stay again.

Fantastic 'Emma' mattress gave a really good sleep. Room was basic but that was as expected. Location of Igloo impossible to beat..... is the most central location possible. Parked 5 mins away at St James' NCP for £10 for 24 hours. Overall very very good will return ( and very pleasant staff !)

A lot better than one might think from the outside. I was quite worried considering it's down a little alley way but during the day there are people about and at night there is a restaurant next door. It's a short walk too so I never felt scared. The people working there were quite nice. The property has two different doors so it's a little frustrating if you need the kitchen, for example, because you have to ring the buzzer and can't just go straight in. Minor thing but if you had the munchies at 3am and needed the microwave, that might be an issue. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable. I wish the sink had more space but that's a minor thing as there is a desk. I appreciated having the extra seating when I just wanted to relax/have a snack. It was raining while I was there, and they let me borrow an umbrella which I was grateful for. Great location/easy to walk everywhere! WiFi worked well. I would stay here again.

Does need an update. However, it was clean nice size with TV and good size bathroom. I would stay again as there were no issues. Close to arena and in the city centre down an alleyway so quite. Friendly staff.

A good value place in the heart of Nottingham. Whilst it is pretty basic, it os also very clean. My only gripe is that the pillows weren't very comfortable. Also, no shower gel provided - which wasn't an issue to me as I came prepared - but might catch others out. Apart from that, this place represents very good value

Stayed here when up for concert and an evening out. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived and showed us to the room. The room was exactly as needed, not huge but we just wanted a bed for the night and it suited us perfectly. Bed was comfy and bathroom was clean and there was space to sit down as needed on small table. If up in Nottingham we'd book again to stay!

Centrally situated hotel/ Hostel with very pleasant welcome, however I arrived to find out my booking had been cancelled but I was lucky as room was still available. Room was nice with 2 seats and 2 person sofa, bed was very comfortable. However discovered in the morning I discovered I could not use the show as door was not wide enough.

Really impressed with cleanliness of shared bathrooms, including regular changing of mats, which makes a big difference. Stay was fantastic value - Very central, reasonably comfortable for the price. Staff were very friendly. I'll be back!

For the price that I paid I was absolutely well pleased with this place! The staff are friendly and very welcoming, the place itself is light, airy and very clean! The room itself is lovely and relaxing, the bed was nice and comfortable and to boot, the property was in a small courtyard area away from the Main Street, so considering you’re slap bang in the middle of Nottingham, there’s very little noise throughout the night! Genuinely one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in! Highly recommend

Clean, homely en suite room in a trendy setting in the City Centre, and at half the price of a hotel chain. Very friendly staff. Excellent value for money.

Had a great stay here for one night. Was the perfect basecamp for exploring the city, easy walk to most everything. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and always available. I opted for the slightly nicer solo room with my own bathroom and it was great. Nothing luxurious but all I needed and great for a hostel. Would gladly stay again in the future.

Leaving it to the last minute like I usually do, there weren't many places left that were a) cheap, and b) within easy reach of Derby. This hostel was a lot better than I thought it would be: Joe was very helpful from the moment I arrived, showing me around and explaining everything carefully. My room was nice and secluded, and the bed was comfortable. The decor is nice and colourful, and the rooms have themes, which is a nice touch! I only stayed for one night, so it's a good "no frills" option to have if money is tight and you're only looking to stay for two or three days. It's located in the heart of the city centre but tucked away in a courtyard, so it's not too obvious! There are plenty of shops, pubs, and eating establishments nearby, so you have plenty of choice. And it's only a 10-minute walk from Nottingham bus and railway stations.

Leaving it to the last minute like I usually do, there weren't many places left that were a) cheap, and b) within easy reach of Derby. This hostel was a lot better than I thought it would be: Joe was very helpful from the moment I arrived, showing me around and explaining everything carefully. My room was nice and secluded, and the bed was comfortable. The decor is nice and colourful, and the rooms have themes, which is a nice touch! Easy fast check in and out, friendly helpful staff and good value

Really cute little place right in the centre of Nottingham, ten mins walk from the train station. Reception staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the room was clean and cosy. Highly recommend! Will be back.

I stayed for 5 nights at the igloo hybrid,clean room with comfortable bed,right in the town centre.it a perfect place to stay.

The location couldn't have been more central, the staff were really friendly and helpful. I had a single room with a bathroom which was very comfortable. Would happily stay again.
