Gamli Skólinn Húsavík

The name is not on the door, but the building photo is correct. We stayed in the upper floor, and everything was very nice. Useful with a fully equipped kitchen!

Overall is very good. And the house is old, so cooking may cause a lot of smells. Also have to walk up to stairs no elevator. Not friendly for people who have legs problems. Otherwise, very thing is good. House is very cozy.

Beautiful big apartment close to the center of Husavik

The apartment was great for our stay in Husavik. In fact, I wish I'd planned two nights there. The apartment has very nice family room furniture - a great place to relax. The kitchen is nice - but the stovetop is difficult to operate without instructions. I would recommend that the host leave a little card with instructions about how to operate it. It is a glass/electronic stovetop, and the safety features require you to press a series of buttons in a specific sequence. I arrived at the combo and sequence by luck after my wife gave up. Another thing about the property: it is on the third floor, and the flight of stairs is extremely narrow and steep. We are young and healthy - so no problem there for us - but - that kind of thing should be stated clearly in the property details because it WAS quite. a climb with suitcases.

Our favorite overnight on our Ring Road trip. Top floor apartment had a lot of character and excellent location for exploring the town.
