We had a pleasant experience at this location. The building locks at night, but we were able to come and go as needed with the key card. Yeni was professional and helpful. The location was quiet and convenient with easy parking. I would definitely stay at this location again.

A hidden gem! The room was clean and quiet. It was easy to find and plenty of parking. A quick drive to all the places we were going nearby. Staff was friendly and even went out of their way to contact me when I accidentally left something in the room after check out.

Clean and great staff. Quiet and pretty location. Beautiful grounds and deers wandering the grounds. History of property with a historical mansion attached to Inn. Educational and interesting. Love the game room. Loved our stay there! Would recommend staying here.

This is a great little hotel! Its a former dormitory, so don't expect a corporate environment. What you can expect are a superlative staff, so kind, comfortable rooms and beds, and a gorgeous outdoor environment. Its right in the middle of the grounds of a mansion once owned by a Johnson from Johnson and Johnson, lots of beautiful trees and paths. An easy 20 minute walk to downtown, where there are way more great restaurants than you'd expect in a small town. Lovely hotel and a fun town!

The front desk people are very kind and the room is clean. Parking is very convenient and spacious. Outside of the room window is a good yard with big trees, and the room is very quiet. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

This place needs a facelift badly. The staff are lovely, but the rooms are not super clean (spider on my bed, hairs on the floor, etc.) and they smell a bit dank. Departed early to return home to a cleaner space.

Stayed here for a swim meet weekend. Beds are comfortable. Room felt clean with nice decor. Bathroom is a bit small but clean. I would stay here again!

Not recommended. Small, Cold & dirty. This property is a converted college dormitory, originally built in the early 1900s. This is not a hotel. Carpet is thin & dirty. The Desk and chair look like old student desks with visible wear and tear. A leg on the desk was broken and it almost fell over. The bathroom is also small. The shower was okay, but the toilet was the type you’d find in a public bathroom. There were also yellow stains inside the toilet and there was a stench of stale urine in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and had appropriate covers on the mattress. No bed bugs, but a brown stain on the comforter. The air & heating is centrally controlled meaning of the whole building is set to AC. It was mid October and rainy due to a nor’easter so temperatures outside were low. The room was very cold and the only option we had was to turn the AC off. We were offered an extra blanket. We ended up going to Walmart to buy a space heater in order to be comfortable in the room and not wrapped in blankets. However, the heat was on in the lobby. Checkout is at 10. We asked for a later checkout due to the timing of the storm. The front desk attendant said she’d call that evening to let us know if it is was possible (we were one of the few guests there). She didn’t call until 7am the next morning and woke us up. Late checkout was only at 10:30. This was not a comfortable stay and we won’t be returning.

The staff is very friendly even for those who arrive very late. The beds are quite small and the mattress is extremely soft and bouncy. The rooms is quite small and is not ideal for 4 peoppe. It would be a good fot for a couple woth a small child. The hotel is veeybclose to Rudgers and great for those visiting the campus.

Was very enjoyable staying on Rutgers campus and was close proximity to Highland Park and all other nearby towns Staff was friendly and the hotel was nice enough. Had a local college dorm feel which was perfect for my needs. Some things were a little out of date but the price was good!

Property was clean, service was friendly, water pressure was. Pillows were hard, mattress was lumpy, and the floors had industrial carpet on top of concrete floors. It felt like being in a dormitory.

For the price, we took it. Was convenient to all highways we needed to get to. Really, the room was a converted dorm room. It served it's purpose for our night's stay. Could've used another pillow on bed. Shower pressure was very weak in 214 and bathroom was very small with limited counter space. We would recommend and would stay again.

It is a good value for the price. There aren't many other hotels in the area that are as cost effective. The rooms are a bit smaller than the look in the photos. If you are just looking for a place to stay for the night (as opposed to multiple nights), this could work for you.

The only drawback to the room was the fact that the heat was uncomfortably high and could not be turned down. Opening the window helped, but let a lot of early morning light in the room.

Staff both days were fantastic and exceptional on helpfulness. They went above and beyond to help us find public pickelball courts as university did not have any PB facilities open. Rooms spotless. All staff friendly and always asking if they could help with anything. No free breakfast but easy trade for cost savings, safe free parking on site and perfect location to quick access anywhere in New Brunswick. Thank you!! We will be back!

The staff was awesome, very welcoming and accommodating. We stayed two nights for a Rutgers tour, it was Rutgers day on our last day of our stay and the staff allowed us to leave our car at the parking lot while we explored the event. The area itself is very clean safe and easy to travel since the Rutgers bus will take you to every campus and college avenue (where shopping, museums and restaurants are) I highly recommend staying here ti get the full college experience. It is set up as part of the Agricultural and farm campus.

The hotel is right on the Douglass Campus which makes it easy to attend campus functions. It is easy to drive up to the Rutgers Piscataway campus and also to drive to places in the New Brunswick area. Good accommodations, not fancy but comfortable.

A very neat location indeed. Affordable, convenient and right in the middle of Rutgers University. So you do get the college vibes, which is awesome The room was clean and well maintained. Really nothing to complain about.

Loved the location and ease of parking. A great option if you want to be in the area and don’t intend on spending a great deal of time on property. We just needed a clean, safe and convenient location and this checked all the boxes. The students that work there are kind and professional.

Location is quite good, close to shopping and easy access to highways staff was nice specially the Front desk katlian was super friendly and helpfull.

What a bargain for this hidden gem only 35 minutes to New Jersey City. Rutgers campus is beautiful and the town has a ton of restaurants and bars.

It is inside Rutgers campus, the surrounding area is quiet and is convenient for activities in Rutgers. It is well maintained and is good value. Highly recommended. Much better than some other hotels in the area.

Staff both days were fantastic and exceptional on helpfulness. They went above and beyond to help us find public pickelball courts as university did not have any PB facilities open. Rooms spotless. All staff friendly and always asking if they could help with anything. No free breakfast but easy trade for cost savings, safe free parking on site and perfect location to quick access anywhere in New Brunswick. Thank you!! We will be back!

It was quiet in the area. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Parking was ample and there were snacks and essentials available for purchase.

The whole trip was great! My only problem was not being able to check-in until 4PM and having to check-out by 10AM. Prices keep going and paying for an 18 hour stay that counts as a day, I find a little unsettling.

Rooms are extremely small almost claustrophobic. The air conditioning was horrible making it very uncomfortable to sleep. It’s possible the air conditioning was having some trouble as we were n a 100+ degree heat wave for five days but like I said it was a small room so it should have been freezing. We did not call management about this because our boys had the room next to us and their air conditioning was the same. Didn’t like that you had to PAY EXTRA for a cup of Keurig coffee in the lobby. I saw there was no breakfast but at least give your guests coffee and tea. Felt that was very cheap. Over all it was very clean and a place to lay our heads but we will not be staying there again.
