Quality Inn Hamilton

BE AWARE! We were denied our room because we reserved through 3rd party website. The lady at the front desk instantly informed us that there was some issues and that we're needing to cancel with the 3rd party booking and book directly through them. When we told her that our reservation had been already taking out our account and there was no possibility to cancel the reservation and book directly from them. She took our cards to put as a security deposit for incidentals, and she was telling us the cards (yes! Multiple cards) were all coming back as declined. We contacted our banks to find out what was going on. According to the bank, they said there was no issues with our accounts. Also, there was no attempt to put any charges for incidentals from the hotels. That is when we contacted the 3rd party booking after the receptionist refused to come back to the front desk even after having our banks on the phone. After the 3rd party tried to contact the hotel directly to find out the issue multiple attempts to remedy the situation as well tried to contact the hotel by phone multiple times and they got no answer. We had no choice but to leave the hotel because by this point it was after midnight and we had to find other accommodations in the area after an hour of trying to check in. It was no use in continue to try. We did find a different hotel nearby and had no issues using the same cards to book the room at other hotel. DO NOT BOOK HERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

There were roaches in the room. the tub would not drain. Bed was fine. Room seemed clean.

We had a great stay! Hot showers, comfortable beds and cold room during the summer time! Breakfast area is a little small but it works for the size of the hotel. We had a slight chemical like smell… I think it was from the air unit… but it kept us cool… and we just sprayed some Lysol…. We got fresh towels everyday! The lady at the front was kind… It was overall great stay!

The property is in need of attention. Desperately needs new carpeting going up the stairs. Needs an elevator. In the room, the ceiling had water stains where the fire detector was. Other areas need attention on the walls and ceiling. The water smelled of chlorine. The drive way needs to be wider. One way in and out and it is very narrow. One night there was a STRONG paint Oder. May have been from the truck stop behind the hotel. Lots of ways this hotel can be improved.
