The Old Bakehouse

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay when visiting Devon. The owners make the place so comfortable and welcoming. The room was so clean and beautifully equipped and we loved the books on the window ledge and the good quality bathroom toiletries. Ask about the flags- it’s very interesting and the history of the village is well worth knowing- and the church is surprisingly historic. Would return!

Great little B&B right in the middle of the village. Steve was very welcoming and friendly and room was perfect for my overnight stay. Breakfast was fab!

The Old Bakehouse was a lovely homely place to stay, and the village of Colyton is in a pretty and convenient location to visit several attractions in the area, go to the beach, cycle or hike. Fiona and Steve were excellent, very helpful, and hospitable hosts. Whilst eating our delicious breakfast each morning we were entertained with music from Steve's extensive vinyl collection, which was a really good start to each day. Our room was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed, and all we needed for relaxing after a day's sightseeing. Parking wasn't a problem as they register your car to park for free in the local car park which is about 50yds away. There are several good places to eat in the village, not least the Kingfisher pub, and a couple of convenience stores. We honestly can't recommend you stay there enough.

The old bakehouse is a beautiful house set in the heart of a quaint town with a village feel. Room was clean and spacious with a large bed. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, produce used was first class. Colyton is ideally situated to take a ride on he lovely old trams to Seaton.
