Great location, beautiful views from the garden terrace. Coach House was clean, comfortable and had everything needed for a great few days away. Secure parking a bonus. We have previously stayed in the Stable Block - both are equally lovely.

The location itself is magnificent. The gardens are superb. For relaxation and peace and tranquility it cannot be beaten. It's position is ideal for walking several sections of the coastal path and perfect for accessing all areas of the Exmoor National Park. Secure parking a bonus.

Jolly lovely overall. Thank you.Only tricky thing the car parking space not simple for a Landrover Discovery.Very comfortable, wonderful outlook and thoroughly enjoyed the stay with my dogs who also enjoyed pottering aroung the interedting garden.Thank you.

Booking is easy and the response time is very impressive. The price was a bonus. Very very fair and considerate of the owners as most places would have charged double. The view is fabulous, overlooking the lovely garden and out to the bay. The Coach House is significantly bigger downstairs than The Stable Block and we loved being there. We have had a very comfortable stay, waking and settling to the sound of the sea and star gazing through the skylights. Parking can be a bit tricky( best to reverse in so you can go out forwards) but when you are in there's more space. The time lapse on the gates is short but once the car is through (or if someone is standing in the way) then a sensor will stop the gates closing. The area is lovely and Porlock Weir is very special.

This was our first stay in the Coach House - we have previously stayed in the Stable Block next door. The cottage felt roomy and was extremely comfortable, the Xmas decorations were a lovely touch. It was lovely sitting out under the stars in the evening on the veranda and the view from the kitchen made washing up a joy! Perfect location for walking and Porlock Weir is a gem of a place.

Beautiful location with sea views. Clean and good facilities for self catering. Loved that it was dog friendly - we were able to escape the city fireworks and have a very relaxed dog! Easy stroll down to Porlock weir with lots of places to eat and drink. Lots of local dog walks, access to costal path. Our only slight negative is driveway is a little awkward, however we parked up and didn't move the car all week, so it wasn't really a problem for us and wouldn't stop us booking in the future.

The timelapse on the electric gates was too short. It is very difficult to get out when there is another car parked there as space is very limited and takes time and it's very difficullt to gauge when to open the gates, if you get it wrong they shut on you Other than that it has lovely views and is a lovely and convenient place to stay.

Wonderful week at the Coach House. Lovely spacious, clean, comfortable, well equipped property in a great location. Walks from the doorstep if you don’t want to go out in the car, plenty of eatery’s in Porlock and Porlock Weir which welcome dogs and so much to do in the surrounding areas. Was so nice to get a glimpse of the Exmoor ponies too when venturing out over Porlock Hill. Highly recommend this property.

Wonderful location and views were amazing , the property however needs some attention to detail particularly the appearance of the outside and the bathroom could do with modernizing Beware on the size of your car as it is very awkward to get in and out of the parking area as very tight for turning space Wifi also a bit temperamental

The cottage and location was perfect for my husband and I and 3 dogs. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The Christmas decorations were a nice touch. The dogs loved the underfloor heating. Everyone we met were warm and welcoming. Close to pubs if you fancy a lunch date or evening out. Amazing walks and views. Would thoroughly recommend.

This was an absolutely fabulous place to stay! Super clean, spacious and bright. The bed is great and the sheets were so crisp and clean. Plenty of towels, an excellent power shower and comfortable bath. The views are incredible! Lovely garden for when the sun is out and looking out to sea from the kitchen window makes even the washing up enjoyable! Kitchen had pretty much everything you could need and they left a small thing of milk in the fridge for me, as well as tea bags and biscuits. The instructions for various things such as access / heating / wifi / tv etc were all really easy to find and very clear. There were fresh flowers on the table and there was even a hot water bottle hanging on a hook in the bedroom - little details like that make it such a lovely place to stay. I highly recommend to anyone, for a couple or a single person. I was on my own there and felt safe, secure and at peace the whole time. It's in a great location for the area too. Loved it.

The location of the cottage is perfect. Just a short stroll fro the beach and places to eat. You can even cycle to Dunkers Beacon if you have the energy! A bottle of wine on arrival is a nice touch. Inside the cottage, the lounge and dining room are perfect for two with plenty of room. The kitchen is ok, but has an eclectic collection of utensils and cutlery. And wonky doors. The bedroom is a good size with a king size bed - but quite low so you may struggle to get out with aching limbs!

Spacious and light living area and the most comfortable bed. Porlock Weir is a gem with beautiful walks and the “Bottom” Ship Inn (yes there is a Top Ship Inn in Porlock) is a must. Plenty to do locally. So much so that we have already rebooked for next year. Locals are lovely and very helpful.

The Coach House came up to our expectations from the descriptions and photos we saw on line - it was cosy, warm, full of character, lovely views, well equipped and a perfect size for two people (plus in our case two dogs who much appreciated the gardens and the stony beaches at the Weir).

This is the third time that we have enjoyed a January break at the Coach House. It never disappoints. The cottage is comfortable and well furnished. We love the open plan layout and cooking and washing up are a joy, with such a spectacular sea view. We look forward to visiting again.

This was our 6th visit. Once again we enjoyed the comfort of the cottage as a base for local walks. Although it was a wet week, we walked each day. We enjoyed the friendly welcome at the Bottom Ship and The Castle in Porlock. Already booked again for next year. As usual there was a friendly welcome.

I booked this property for a romantic break for myself and my partner. We weren't disappointed. The property is beautiful, has everything you need and the views are out of this world. Never have I enjoyed washing dishes so much with that view! Also my partner woke me at 4am and said look up... the sky was clear and the constellations were amazing through the velux window above the bed. There was a small amount if tea and coffee and a pint of milk to get us going and we also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine after a long drive. The local area is lovely and the local pub food is delicious. Staff friendly and welcoming too. We would definitely recommend the coach house and hope to return in future.

The location of The Coach House is terrific offering views over the estuary to Wales and secure on-site parking. Inside,there was everything you could need from the well equipped kitchen,comfortable lounge and good sized bedroom/ bathroom.In the kitchen was a thoughtful small supply of tea,coffee,sugar,biscuits and a pint of milk as a welcome. Porlock Weir is a good centre for visiting Minehead,Lynmouth,Lynton and the Exmoor National Park. Would I stay again? Certainly Yes.

The view is fabulous, overlooking the lovely garden and out to the bay. The Coach House is significantly bigger downstairs than The Stable Block and we loved being there. We have had a very comfortable stay, waking and settling to the sound of the sea and star gazing through the skylights. Parking can be a bit tricky( best to reverse in so you can go out forwards) but when you are in there's more space. The time lapse on the gates is short but once the car is through (or if someone is standing in the way) then a sensor will stop the gates closing. The area is lovely and Porlock Weir is very special.
Booking is easy and the response time is very impressive. The price was a bonus. Very very fair and considerate of the owners as most places would have charged double. This was an absolutely fabulous place to stay! Super clean, spacious and bright. The bed is great and the sheets were so crisp and clean. Plenty of towels, an excellent power shower and comfortable bath. The views are incredible! Lovely garden for when the sun is out and looking out to sea from the kitchen window makes even the washing up enjoyable! Kitchen had pretty much everything you could need and they left a small thing of milk in the fridge for me, as well as tea bags and biscuits. The instructions for various things such as access / heating / wifi / tv etc were all really easy to find and very clear. There were fresh flowers on the table and there was even a hot water bottle hanging on a hook in the bedroom - little details like that make it such a lovely place to stay. I highly recommend to anyone, for a couple or a single person. I was on my own there and felt safe, secure and at peace the whole time. It's in a great location for the area too. Loved it.

The Coach House was absolutely perfect for us with our dog. Although just a one bedroom cottage it gave the feeling of space from the moment we stepped in the front door - light and airy with a huge picture window overlooking Porlock Bay - what a sight to greet you! The upstairs bedroom was lovely and here again the view of the sea was superb. A short stroll down to the quayside where we had the choice of The Ship Inn or The Porlock Weir Hotel, both very good places to enjoy an evening meal (the latter allowing dogs into the bar eating area only). Fantastic house with incredible views. Never have I enjoyed washing up until here. Looking over the channel into wales. Comfortable well appointed home with lovely touches. Close to Porlock weir where there are a few amenities and Porlock just down the road. Stunning walks from the door- can’t wait to return.

The location itself is magnificent. The gardens are superb. For relaxation and peace and tranquility it cannot be beaten. It's position is ideal for walking several sections of the coastal path and perfect for accessing all areas of the Exmoor National Park. Secure parking a bonus.

Lots of walks to explore from the front door but also ideally situated for day trips out to explore Exmoor. Local pub (The Ship) only five mins walk if you don't fancy cooking. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week away.

The location of The Coach House is terrific offering views over the estuary to Wales and secure on-site parking. Inside,there was everything you could need from the well equipped kitchen,comfortable lounge and good sized bedroom/ bathroom.In the kitchen was a thoughtful small supply of tea,coffee,sugar,biscuits and a pint of milk as a welcome. Porlock Weir is a good centre for visiting Minehead,Lynmouth,Lynton and the Exmoor National Park. Would I stay again? Certainly Yes.

Wonderful week at the Coach House. Lovely spacious, clean, comfortable, well equipped property in a great location. Walks from the doorstep if you don’t want to go out in the car, plenty of eatery’s in Porlock and Porlock Weir which welcome dogs and so much to do in the surrounding areas. Was so nice to get a glimpse of the Exmoor ponies too when venturing out over Porlock Hill. Highly recommend this property.

I booked this property for a romantic break for myself and my partner. We weren't disappointed. The property is beautiful, has everything you need and the views are out of this world. Never have I enjoyed washing dishes so much with that view! Also my partner woke me at 4am and said look up... the sky was clear and the constellations were amazing through the velux window above the bed. There was a small amount if tea and coffee and a pint of milk to get us going and we also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine after a long drive. The local area is lovely and the local pub food is delicious. Staff friendly and welcoming too. We would definitely recommend the coach house and hope to return in future.

Great for quiet restful break- no noise at night and lovely comfy bed. Garden is gorgeous and natural- very relaxing and private. All facilities in house are good. Short walk to Porlock harbour and food at Bottom Ship is excellent- arrive about 6 if you don't want to queue for a table!

We have stayed at the Coach House twice now and we love it. Peaceful, beautiful view from the balcony, short walk to Ship in serves good food, excellent pizzas from the terrace bar. Looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful location with sea views. Clean and good facilities for self catering. Loved that it was dog friendly - we were able to escape the city fireworks and have a very relaxed dog! Easy stroll down to Porlock weir with lots of places to eat and drink. Lots of local dog walks, access to costal path. Our only slight negative is driveway is a little awkward, however we parked up and didn't move the car all week, so it wasn't really a problem for us and wouldn't stop us booking in the future.

Good central location for this area. The garden to the property was interesting and sitting out in the evening was enjoyable. A bit disappointing for lack of good restaurants but the Castle pub in Porlock is recommended.
