The Property in itself was beautiful, room clean, and very eclectic. Parking is a nightmare! We arrive at 10pm, and had to circle the block numerous time to find a parking spot. We saw a parking garage across the street, but no one was there to ask questions or confirm if we can park there!

Very pretty. Be aware no elevator and parking garage is down the alley with steps as well. But I found it to be very safe and easy.

This hotel was meticulously clean and rooms were newly renovated. There is no front desk for check in . You receive an email with a door code. Parking is also a little quirky. You pull into an alley between the hotel and the building next door. You unload your vehicle in the alley then drive down the alley a little further to the parking garage and park on the 2-3 floor. There is a lovely little restaurant across from the parking garage ( where Greg Allman proposed to Cher) . Amazing selection of liquor and great food. The hotel is only 2 miles from the Allman Brothers Museum. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance. The hotel also has its own bar in house. I would definitely visit again

Parking is a little hard, especially if you have a tall SUV. The hotel is great. The bar was wonderful, and the area is hip.

I booked with the expectation of having a bar to visit, did not find out the bar was closed during my visit until the day of my visit. Parking limitations should be listed. My truck did not fit in the provided parking deck.

Awesome boutique hotel in the middle of everything! We were here for the Macon Film Festival and the Woodward provided a great home base and comfy room. Easy access with clear instructions on how to get into the room and parking was included! The hotels bar Quill had some of THE best and most inventive cocktails! You gotta try the Salt to the Sea!

The hotel is very quaint, set in a historic building it has romantic charm with unique distinctions of history with a side of updated amenities. The floors slant so the bed is slanted but oh so comfortable. No frills in room service or valet or even a front desk all self check in but extremely easy and clear instructions. The parking is in a deck with lower ceilings so check height restrictions, we needed to park on the street and pay due to that something I did not see on the website. A tad noisy on a Saturday night with an event next door but not too bothersome. Great walking distance to bars, and restaurants….check out the attached bar which has amazing vibes. Would definitely come back!

We had problems with the parking. Parking spaces not properly marked and when we pulled our SUV in the low ceiling tore off our roof antenna. We were informed by a valet attendant that this had happened before. The room was advertised as having a balcony which it did, but it overlooked rooftops with air conditioning units and was directly across from a rooftop bar. The properties answer to nighttime noise was a white noise machine that was provided.

The property makes it seamless to check in and access your room. They are very responsive and helpful. The room was quite nice and comfortable. Although the hotel is on the square and situated on an alleyway, it was a relatively quiet stay for me. The only thing I might mention that could be helpful to other travelers is that the parking garage is quite small and has an extremely steep incline when going up to the next level. Parking was a little tricky, but everything worked out fine. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Macon.

Great location in downtown historic Macon. Convenient free parking. Nicely appointed, clean room. Seems newly renovated. Comfortable bed. Plentiful and thoughtful sundry items. Long staircase up to our room (#9). Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in a well-appointed and clean room. The room was decorated beautifully and contained many thoughtful amenities. Our only problem was that we were given the wrong entry code and stood outside for several minutes trying to enter. A quick call resolved the issue. However, having no lobby or staff on site is a little undesirable. It would improve the experience to have guest services available and seem more hospitable. All in all, we would return to stay in the future.

The Woodward is an absolute “Diamond in the Ruff”! It is truly a unique Boutique Hotel ! Our room could not have been any more perfect! From cleanliness to the views out of our windows, it was truly top notch! I would like to make note that the parking garage is not convenient for Lifted trucks or Large SuV’s. We were also a little sadden that Macon does not take Pride in cleaning the Downtown area up more. Hence why I am saying The Woodward is a “Diamond in the Ruff” !

Beautiful room, in a beautiful, old (but updated) building, Fantastic bed (better than mine at home!) and clean. Excellent communication with the staff, both by email and phone. Walking distance to everything, shops, restaurants, Christmas lights...I went for the Christmas Light Extravaganza. The only part that was 4 stars instead of 5 was the area where you enter the building. It's in an alleyway and just isn't as safe "looking" as the rest of downtown Macon. That being said, I never felt unsafe, but I can see if you arrived at night, it might feel a little sketchy, and parking is in a parking deck a 1/2 block down the alleyway, so you have to walk back to the hotel entrance from there (unless you want to pay for parking on the street). Some reviews mentioned a lot of homeless in the area, but that's generally in every big city in America, so I wasn't disturbed by it. I didn't see that many homeless wandering the streets, but if you're from a small town, you may be bothered by it. Considering the limited options for accommodations in the area that are walking distance to everything, I was quite impressed. I would highly recommend the Woodward when you're visiting Macon. Sidenote...there is a coffeemaker (coffee, tea bags, sugar, cream included), and a mini fridge, but no microwave.

We arrived late, but found our entrance. We rented the cheap room #1 ground floor. The room was charming, clean, and comfortable; however, the street noise was loud, and the lady's shoes on the floor above us at 5:30am were a little loud too. Go for a second story room.

Bed was the best we have ever had. Great pillows. Modern take on a very old city. Keyless check in. The Staff "Kat"hotel manager and Abby the bartender were delightful. So many windows to see everyone and everything! Curtains fully blocked the lights out and any sound. Smelled great in the room with a sound machine next to the bed. Ac was a unit up near the real tin 12 ft ceilings. Worth the trouble of parking. (We have a really big truck) Smart tv. The Quill bar had delicious drinks!! Cozy comfy setting. Everyone was very personable. Informative about the city and shared recommendations on food and attractions. Very happy and well rested!

Didn’t know street would be so noisy! Film crew outside our window from 6 pm until 1 am yelling. Cop cars and FBI tank outside window for hours. At first we thought there was something terrible going on in downtown. Racing cop cars repeatedly for hours. We should have been notified- we would have chosen a different hotel. Not much sleep!

Great place. Easy walking to shopping and restaurants. My only negative is TV is a smart TV with no seemingly access to network TV. But I’m older. Wont bother younger people at all.

Welcome to the staff-less hotel. Wasn't sure how this was going to work out, but it ended up as quite a fun experience. One the day of your check-in they send you a 4 digit code which opens the entrance door and your room at 4pm. There isn't any hotel staff there (except cleaners). We enjoyed our stay in a well-appointed and clean room. The room was decorated beautifully and contained many thoughtful amenities. Our only problem was that we were given the wrong entry code and stood outside for several minutes trying to enter. A quick call resolved the issue. However, having no lobby or staff on site is a little undesirable. It would improve the experience to have guest services available and seem more hospitable. All in all, we would return to stay in the future.

Great assistance with modern self check-in system . Emily was especially helpful. Very clean and secure facility convenient walking distance to restaurants and lively places. Very friendly community. On-site bar was nice and friendly but a bit pricey.

There are no reception and I found out that I was supposed to receive some codes, but I did not receive anything. After 15-20 minutes I found a bar, where the bartender helped to get in contact with the hotel owner. During the night to much noise from the street and the train.

Check in was easy and convenient. We emailed saying we’d be early and could we check in. They responded immediately and said they’d try. Our room was ready early. Parking was a breeze. It’s a historic area and wasn’t hard, just smaller drive in. The room was spacious and beautiful and very clean. The bar Quill was so pretty and had a great vibe. Would definitely stay again.

Awesome boutique hotel in the middle of everything! We were here for the Macon Film Festival and the Woodward provided a great home base and comfy room. Easy access with clear instructions on how to get into the room and parking was included! The hotels bar Quill had some of THE best and most inventive cocktails! You gotta try the Salt to the Sea!

Check in was a pain. No way to get into hotel without a code (whitthey did not send after we booked. Had to go to the bar a find an employee to give us a code to the hotel and our room. They didn’t tell us to enter a check mark after the number. No # key. Finally got that figured out and found our room. The next morning, we went out for coffee at 8:00 am and couldn’t get back in our room! Check out is not until 11:00 am. We were gone less than 30 minutes. The only number we could find went to voicemail. Even tried the emergency number and had to leave another voicemail.

The property makes it seamless to check in and access your room. They are very responsive and helpful. The room was quite nice and comfortable. Although the hotel is on the square and situated on an alleyway, it was a relatively quiet stay for me. The only thing I might mention that could be helpful to other travelers is that the parking garage is quite small and has an extremely steep incline when going up to the next level. Parking was a little tricky, but everything worked out fine. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Macon.

This hotel was meticulously clean and rooms were newly renovated. There is no front desk for check in . You receive an email with a door code. Parking is also a little quirky. You pull into an alley between the hotel and the building next door. You unload your vehicle in the alley then drive down the alley a little further to the parking garage and park on the 2-3 floor. There is a lovely little restaurant across from the parking garage ( where Greg Allman proposed to Cher) . Amazing selection of liquor and great food. The hotel is only 2 miles from the Allman Brothers Museum. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance. The hotel also has its own bar in house. I would definitely visit again

The Woodward is another great boutique hotel. Downtown vibes with great restaurants options within walking distance. “Quill” the on site lounge is incredible. Generous drinks, good bartenders! It’s on the Main Street through town, so traffic and some late night pedestrian noise. Worth it!

The Woodward was wonderful! I love a boutique hotel experience. I’m so glad to have found it through Expedia. I was new to Macon and knew nothing about hotels. The Woodward was perfect! Room was beautifully decorated, my street view room (#7) was exactly what I wanted. Street noise and pedestrians are to be expected. Close by restaurants were delightful. I’ll come back in an evening when Quill is open, that was a disappointment, closed on Monday’s. Otherwise just a wonderful experience…oh, great shower and linens! Thank you and look for me again!!

First, let's start with the good. The location was good. The room was well stocked, and I loved the shower gel. The staff at the Quill was very friendly also. Now the bad. We stayed in room 4. The split AC unit made a LOUD dripping water sound THE ENTIRE STAY (2nights) the remote control barely worked. The glass in the shower didn't extend out far enough and the floor got SOAKED each time we showered. The Quill bar was right outside our room, and yes they supplied ice for our room. However, it was an inconvenience having to wait on them to open to get ice. Also, because of wood floors we could hear ppl walking back and forth at all hours of the day and night. Lastly, the parking garage is small and very sus to say the least.

We had a rocky start to our stay as we didn't see anything about the hotel being contactless, nor the fact that there was no elevator for 2nd floor rooms. I contacted Ashley and she was absolutely fantastic! She was above to get us a 1 floor room for our 2 night stay, and since this was the end of a long travel day, her resolution was much appreciated! The room was great and there are a ton of things to do and places to eat within walking distance!

Our stay was so pleasant. We loved Quill and its staff. Obviously everything is automated, but I would have liked a responses to a booking question from a person also. It was an unlikely scenario to be repeated. I would easily stay here again.
