It was a wonderful stay! Shawn and Amy were wonderful hosts and just genuinely good people! They were super accommodating, friendly, and not fussy! Our room was clean and comfy. The bed was also comfortable and we slept well every night. Breakfasts were perfect whether we ate indoors with the other guest or we ate out on the terrific patio. The view of the vineyards and the overall spaciousness of the shared areas were perfect for our much-needed vacation. The shared bathroom was clearly cleaned very well. We highly recommend the Gaard House and look forward to getting back over there ourselves!

My first time at a B&B did not disappoint! Shawn and Amy were excellent hosts. Both the bed and the breakfast were great. I was surprised at all the extra parts of the property that a whole family could enjoy, like the theater and game room in the basement. Obviously the wine country views and bird chatter in the morning were lovely too.

This was an amazing retreat for the weekend. Hospitality was off the charts and the breakfast was thoughtful and delicious. The property is breathtaking and close to everything we needed. We are basketball fans and the theatre room was an unexpected surprise that saw plenty of use for NCAA conference tournament games😁

Gaard House is everything we look for in a B&B: very welcoming and accommodating but also private. We loved getting some food recommendations and relaxing on the beautiful patio. One of us had to work remotely in the morning, and that went fine, too. Breakfast was lovely.

The Gaard house is nestled in the beautiful rolling Carlton hills. The best part was to enjoy a glass of wine on the huge deck after dinner and watch the stars. For those that like the comforts of home, there was a fun home theater and pool table. Shawn and Amy were the perfect hosts with terrific recommendations for wine tasting (Ghost Hill winery a mile down the street) and dinner options. Breakfast was simply fabulous! The location was convenient to McMinnville, downtown Carlton, and the Newberg/Dundee area, making it a great base camp to explore the area. We'll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Gard House after a day of wine tasting. Shawn and Amy were wonderful hosts along Diego who I enjoyed a game of pool with. Breakfast was delicious and nutritious and had a Norwegian flare. We even got to meet their Great Dane Freya. I would describe the property as tranquil and serene. You feel an immediate sense of peace and calm both inside and outside of the house. It was a perfect stay for our anniversary. Clean, comfortable rooms and beds. Just what we needed

Sean and Amy are amazing hosts. I was in for a family wedding at a local winery and the property was very close and convenient. Beautiful house and facility. SUPER CLEAN. Huge deck out back for happy hour and meals. Very nice and will come back again!!!

Shawn & Amy are great hosts. The Gaard House is impecable inside and out. A beautiful and very comfortable place to stay. A highlight is the full breakfast, which is held at a table shared with all guests. It made for an enjoyable morning with people from all over the world.

Lovely home and grounds and terrific breakfast. Hosts where very accommodating and personable and went out of there way to make us welcome and comfortable. However, it is not immediately obvious that there would be a shared bathroom at booking and the advertised queen sized bed seemed more like a double bed.

Sean and Amy were wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful, and made excellent breakfasts. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is a bit off the beaten track, about a mile off the paved road, and I wasn't aware before arrival that we'd be sharing a bathroom.

The Gaard House is a hidden gem centrally located in the Willamette Valley. Gorgeous property with convenient access to Carlton, Newberg, Dundee, and McMinnville. The hosts were both incredibly kind and hospitable. The room was comfortable and had every amenity imaginable. The morning breakfast was quite generous and was much more elaborate than I've ever experienced at a B&B. Can't wait to come back and absolutely would recommend to friends and family.

Shawn and Amy were wonderful hosts! Communication with them was easy. Breakfast was delicious and personally prepared by the hosts. The property was also convenient to the many wineries in the area. We especially enjoyed meeting "Trouble" the cat! We would readily stay here again in the future.

Shaun and Amy were delightful - very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area - great recommendations for dinner and wineries! Beautiful views, delicious breakfasts, and super-friendly pets :) I will definitely stay there again!

Location was amazing. We found some amazing hiking/walking trails in the AM and then drank some of the best pinot noir in beautiful Tuscan-esque vineyards in the PM...all within driving distance. Hosts were even better. Amy and Shawn were both kind and warm in welcoming us to their BnB. Every morning started with a 5-star quality breakfast to start the day right (they were very mindful of food allergies) and our day was often filled with their great suggestions of places to visit, food to eat, and wine to drink.

The bed and breakfast was a perfect, quiet place for a stay to visit wineries. We had an early half- marathon run the next morning, and they were able to accommodate and give us some breakfast beforehand, and allowed us to check out late after the run. We will absolutely come back!

Shawn and Amy are wonderful host- great communication- very welcoming feeling from the second we walked in. Shawn’s breakfast was off the chain (which means wonderful) and hey- Coffee was super delish! (Most folks don’t know how to make good coffee) Looking for an amazing view, comfortable bed, accommodating host this is your place- enjoy!

Sean and Amy were wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful, and made excellent breakfasts. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is a bit off the beaten track, about a mile off the paved road, and I wasn't aware before arrival that we'd be sharing a bathroom.

Location was amazing. We found some amazing hiking/walking trails in the AM and then drank some of the best pinot noir in beautiful Tuscan-esque vineyards in the PM...all within driving distance. Hosts were even better. Amy and Shawn were both kind and warm in welcoming us to their BnB. Every morning started with a 5-star quality breakfast to start the day right (they were very mindful of food allergies) and our day was often filled with their great suggestions of places to visit, food to eat, and wine to drink.

The Gaard house is nestled in the beautiful rolling Carlton hills. The best part was to enjoy a glass of wine on the huge deck after dinner and watch the stars. For those that like the comforts of home, there was a fun home theater and pool table. Shawn and Amy were the perfect hosts with terrific recommendations for wine tasting (Ghost Hill winery a mile down the street) and dinner options. Breakfast was simply fabulous! The location was convenient to McMinnville, downtown Carlton, and the Newberg/Dundee area, making it a great base camp to explore the area. We'll definitely be back!

If you are afraid of bed and breakfasts be afraid no more! It was an amazing five star experience from location to amenities to hospitality. The breakfast was outstanding. I was a bit weary with shared bathroom but I never noticed! It is an amazing gem.

We had a great stay at the Gaard House. Shawn and Amy were amazing hosts. Their place is located central to many areas so it is quick and easy to get around. The breakfest was great. Fresh ingredients, flavorful, made with loved! Rooms were great, great conversation with the hosts and other guests. We’d def stayed if we go back! Thx

From the moment we pulled up the driveway, my friends and I knew we were in for a special stay. This beautiful B&B is run by a wonderful couple and their son, and their collective care and pride in the property shine through in every single detail. They made us feel incredibly welcome right from the start, offering the perfect balance of warm, attentive hospitality while still giving us plenty of space to relax. The entire property was absolutely spotless and meticulously clean, with thoughtful touches throughout our room that made it feel like a cozy home away from home. But the absolute highlight has to be the views. The property looks out over the most gorgeous, sweeping Oregon landscape. Waking up to those panoramic views of rolling hills and lush greenery was worth the trip alone—it is incredibly peaceful and the perfect place to watch the sunrise with a morning coffee and the delicious homemade breakfast. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with hosts who genuinely care about your experience, look no further.
