really unique stay, excellent room, everything i was hoping for, very friendly staff made everything easy. Oreo deserves a raise :) the balcony view is phenomenal/ the breakfast is top class. someone was on hand to take hot drink orders then the my highlight of my trip was at this breakfast, some olive bread, i dont know what it was or how i can get some more in england but im craving it now im home. we got a city map also at check in which will now sit framed in our toilet at home (we love city maps at check in) the bathroom was great (had a moisturiser/body cream) which is always the sign of a great hotel/stay in my opinion. we got very unlucky with rain and got drenched which meant our shoes were waterlogged, with no radiator or heating this made drying them a nightmare so resorted to using the hairdryer. unfortunately a couple of ants had made their way into the bed but i had noticed this in other places in italy recently, so this doesnt take anything away from the room or stay but i always try and include a negative to any reviews and maybe this can be checked in future.

La Dimora di Metello is a beautiful small hotel in the heart of Matera’s Sasi. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We had a wonderful stay.

Fantastisk sted og overnatte hvis du skal til Matera. Hotellet ligger midt i gamlebyen og er et perfekt utgangspunkt for sightseeing. Bil må parkeres utenfor gamlebyen. Frokosten var delikat.

Such a wonderful experience, facilities were amazing, staff were wonderful…amazing view
