The staff was friendly and helpful when called upon. The room was clean and very spacious. The kitchenette was perfect for me to cook dinner each night for me and my son. The laundry room on site was great. Every night I was woken up by slamming doors. I was above the lobby and main entrance. There were always people hanging out in front of the hotel and around 3am and it would wake me up with people going in and out of the hotel entrance. People had to exit out of three doors that were secured and would slamm shut. The hallway outside my room had a distinct odor that was startling every time I came or went. The mini sized muffins, packets of oatmeal and nature valley bars cannot be considered any type of breakfast. They really shouldn't promote that as an amenity.

They do not have a gym. You have to ask for dishes. The worst part is what they call BREAKFAST… some single granola bars, Oatmeal and cheap muffins. Other than that it was clean & safe.

This is a hotel that is more like a halfway house.. furniture was discussing. Peeling dirty vinyl on the chair. Party broke out at 3am. Dog barking and whining. Hallway carpet was disgusting. The entire hotel had one luggage cart. So it was being used so I had to haul my stuff from the parking lot in several trips. Office staff was nice enough. Breakfast was coffee and granola bar. Small muffins. I should have taken the clue from the name “extended stay”. Room had hair on my clean sheets. Learned my lesson.. won’t be back.. parking lot was full of trash. I put up with it because I was alone working out of town. Had I taken my family I would’ve demanded a full refund and found another hotel. A real hotel. .

While traveling through Portland. I booked this hotel due to the convenient location off the interstate. However, I should have skipped right over this one. When checking in the clerk was friendly and helpful. It was all down hill from there. After checking in on the way to the room we saw a huge pile of trash bags and cardboard towards the back of the lobby. Then the room….. The first thing I saw when entering the room. The pleather chair had extensive peeling. Then there was hair on one of the towels I am not sure if it was a dead bug, dirt or something else in the shower door slide. If it had not been in the middle of the night we would and should have left. This morning I saw the smoke detector was missing and the wires were hanging out. I am thinking at least we can get that free continental breakfast before continuing our travels. Lol the jokes continue our breakfast was two varieties of nutri grain bars…

The rooms and beds were comfortable but very basic accommodations-simple beds and linens, minimal toiletries provided. There was a kitchenette in each room but no utensils or plates/cups to be able to use it. Limited coffee breakfast with a few packaged snack items. Customer service was fine but staff was not overly friendly. Check in process was long and a little complicated as they asked for ID from everyone staying in the room. There are large numbers of people living there along with their many dogs. We used our room mostly to just sleep and it was fine for that.

The hotel had a strange smell when we walked in but it wasn’t too bad. Once we got to the room, the smell was way worse. There was nothing we could to do help as it seemed it was coming from the vents themselves. The bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned. There was poop inside the toilet bowl and hair and pee stains on the rim.

The floor in the room was super sticky, the bed was not like the pic showed was up on a metal frame, couldn’t get extra pillows, the recliner chair looked old, the arms of it on the end was all wore out. Just shady people in & out. Will not stay again!!!

The staff was very kind however this hotel was disgusting, dirty, and completely unacceptable. The entire place smelled like wet dog, they had fans blowing down all the hallways to try and help but it was horrible. There were several "residents" sitting around the property in wheelchairs with IV drips and colostomy bags. I kicked actual dog crap that was in front of the lobby door ... I was so heated about the condition of the hotel I didn't see it.The room they checked us into was "supposed" to be out of service but apparently it was not. The shower was covered in pubic hairs and god knows what else, floors were disgusting. When we saw that, they switched us to a different room which was "better" but the bed sheets were stained and gross. We then went and found another hotel and got a refund. This property is a catchall for the homeless, and people that don't have identification (non-english speaking sent there for a "job" with no proper ID). Again, the staff was kind and as helpful as they could be ... but this property is a literal circus. 1000 times over do NOT recommend.

The rooms are very clean with everything you need, we had a refrigerator and cook top, very handy! Beds are comfy and staff was professional and accommodating. I booked several rooms for my family for a graduation and everything was exactly as promised. We will use this hotel again whenever we are in the area.

The room was huge, minimalistic. The shower was large enough for 2 people. Very clean and the bed was really comfortable. There was a full size fridge if you needed to keep food and a small range to cook. We only stayed a night, but would have gladly stayed longer if we were going to be in town longer.

Room was nice except I think a herd of elephants rented the room above me. Disappointed no hair dryer or coffee maker in room. States breakfast included but don't really consider instant oatmeal packets and nutrigrain bars as breakfast. Won't be staying here again, really disappointed that Quality Inn was turned into apartments!

me and my boyfriend went to portland for 2 days and the extended stay america suite was perfect. very quiet and relaxing. room was exactly what the pictures online showed. they make it as homey as possible. including a fridge, a stove/oven, a microwave , a sink, a queen size bed, a nice bathroom and a nice view from our room. would 100% recommend to anyone not from around the area. very comfortable and great!!
me and my boyfriend went to portland for 2 days and the extended stay america suite was perfect. very quiet and relaxing. room was exactly what the pictures online showed. they make it as homey as possible. including a fridge, a stove/oven, a microwave , a sink, a queen size bed, a nice bathroom and a nice view from our room. would 100% recommend to anyone not from around the area. very comfortable and great!!

Pros: the property is modern and nicely appointed, in a fairly nice section of Gresham. The room was modern, nice furniture, comfy bed. Cons: noisy. The people in the room above us thumped/bumped until well after midnight (yeah I know the hotel management can't do much about that). There was a LOT of noise from the hallway all night long - people opening/closing room doors, talking loudly. There was ONE towel in the bathroom, and no soap whatsoever (there were two of us in the room). I skipped a shower in the morning because, well, no soap. The room wastebasket was full of someone else's trash. The bathroom smelled like smoke, as did the air conditioning unit when it kicked on. Yeah it could've been a lot worse, especially in Gresham, but we were underwhelmed. Not sure I'd stay there again.

It was ok, beds were too stif,blankets were thin which didn't keep you warm, and the price was way to high for what you get. I was in a pinch, otherwise I would have gone somewhere else.

Did not stay at extended stay. They did not let me check in. I got in very late to Portland and Extended Stay did not accept check ins after midnight. I ended up walking to a Hampton Inn that did low late check ins and they happen to have one room left. Well never again book with Extended Stay and to be honest, the Expedia AI agent on chat did not work as well. Could not get assistance at all, had to figure it out all on my own.

I expected better customer service and although the accommodations were suitable, it was not what I initially booked. They gave my booking away and I had to re-book a smaller room and pay more money. The front desk attendant at check in was not friendly and she stated it was out of her control. Portland had seen some bad weather the previous days and I understood that the hotel was overbooked and overburdened with guests, however, as a traveler from out of state with a reservation and paid prior to arrival, I still expected better service. Requesting things from the front desk was difficult. Staff would tell me they didn't have it or they couldn't find it and would offer to bring it by later, but that never happened. I had to submit multiple requests over a period of time. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable; the surrounding area was in the vicinity of convenience stores, gas stations, an Albertsons and some other places such as restaurants that were within walking distance. There was a bus stop nearby which we used to move around town. I would like to say that this was my own personal experience with ESA Portland-East and perhaps under other circumstances things would have been different, but as a customer and a guest, I would expect a business in the hospitality industry to be better equipped for such circumstances and that their staff would be better trained and better disposed to assist their guests.

My family of 4 came here to escape a multi-day power outage at home during the winter storm. Although the hotel had only just recovered from their own power outage, the staff was working nonstop to assist us and others looking for refuge from the storm. They were ready to troubleshoot anything that came up and made sure we had everything we needed. They even gave my fussy toddler a stuffed dinosaur to help him calm down! I can’t praise them enough for all their efforts.

Booked them through Expedia for a 4 night stay with 2 queen bed and Kitchen since we had a baby. When we arrived to check-in at around 11PM, they bluntly mentioned that they don't have any more rooms and that they can do nothing about it. They asked us to contact Expedia for "refund" (its just not about refund, we need a place to stay!). Front desk didn't even care a little bit that we had a baby as well and we are stuck without a place to stay. They asked us to go out and find another place that late in night! Luckily we were able to get hold of Expedia customer care reservation team and they were very helpful and managed to get us into another hotel. But the way the front desk gave a cold shoulder to our situation after giving away the reserved room is just terrible.

Overall the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location was convenient and there was a 7-Eleven close by. We booked a king bed room with a pull out couch. Our issue was with the staff, specifically the girl who checked us in during swingshift. At check-in (2:30pm) she mention she’ll have linens for the pull out couch delivered to the room. After an hour, still no linens no biggie we didn’t need it immediately, and we were heading out to explore and do some shopping. We got back to the hotel 10pm, still no linens. Same staff member working, and said again, she’ll deliver it. We ate our dinner and unpacked our luggage, bout an hour went by, still no linens. We needed to go to 7-Eleven, we went by the front desk again and the same staff member working so we mentioned the linens again. She finally went in the back office and gave it to us but no pillows, said she will have to get pillows for us. We left and came back to the room, showered, and still no pillows. By now we are exhausted and want to get in bed and unwind for the day. My cousin goes down stairs and waited for 30 minutes while another staff member is trying to help another guest check-in. This staff member mentioned this is her 2nd day on the job, she is alone, and DK what she is doing. She called her manager and IT support and still no solution to help that other guest. Finally she ask what my cousin needed, she goes in the back and gives her the pillows, by this time it’s well after midnight.

Room needed to be clean and the pull out couch needed replaced they switched our rooms and that room had a bad odor we were just there for the night and the night staff was seemed bothered by our arrival and their check in time was 24hrs morning staff was really pleasant and handed out a water bottle and a pretzel snack during check out so that was nice. We did have our pet with us and he seemed unsettled about the place overall won’t stay here again

There’s a very loud military plane training place nearby. There are people living long term in the building who cooked up lots of different smells and made lots of different noises throughout the night. I saw either a spider or roach in my kitchenette. Not the worst place but overpriced for the quality

Comfortable stay in the outskirts of Portland, on my way back to Vancouver, BC from Crater Lake National Park. Nice place to split up the driving and also a perfect launchpad for exploring Cannon Beach. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was piping hot with really good water pressure! Appreciated having a large fridge, freezer and microwave. Not too many dining options in the neighbourhood, but did manage to find a Subway - it’s pretty much the only thing that offered a healthier alternative. My only complaint was the lack of towels in the room - only one towel and no floor mat. But it’s a minor thing really! Overall, a great stay! Free grab and go breakfast from 6am onwards.

The staff was friendly and helpful when called upon. The room was clean and very spacious. The kitchenette was perfect for me to cook dinner each night for me and my son. The laundry room on site was great. Every night I was woken up by slamming doors. I was above the lobby and main entrance. There were always people hanging out in front of the hotel and around 3am and it would wake me up with people going in and out of the hotel entrance. People had to exit out of three doors that were secured and would slamm shut. The hallway outside my room had a distinct odor that was startling every time I came or went. The mini sized muffins, packets of oatmeal and nature valley bars cannot be considered any type of breakfast. They really shouldn't promote that as an amenity.

Although I know it for extended stays and I stayed one night. It was okay. Missing bed skirts. Breakfast bar was just coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Oatmeal, breakfast bars and chocolate muffins. That was it. Could've stayed somewhere else for the same price for one night with a full breakfast course. Should have looked into that before booking it. Staff was friendly.

Staff was very kind, Annie checked us in, very friendly. The place was quiet, felt safe, comfortable. The bed sheets had some stains but I called for a new set and they were very kind and apologetic about it. Some burn marks on the floor and the breakfast advertised in the booking was a tad misleading. We got up thinking there would be eggs/bacon, that kind of thing but it was granola bars, packaged oatmeal. Other than that, pretty good for a night. The basic room does come with a kitchen which is nice but you do have to pay extra to have access to cooking utensils and such.

While traveling through Portland. I booked this hotel due to the convenient location off the interstate. However, I should have skipped right over this one. When checking in the clerk was friendly and helpful. It was all down hill from there. After checking in on the way to the room we saw a huge pile of trash bags and cardboard towards the back of the lobby. Then the room….. The first thing I saw when entering the room. The pleather chair had extensive peeling. Then there was hair on one of the towels I am not sure if it was a dead bug, dirt or something else in the shower door slide. If it had not been in the middle of the night we would and should have left. This morning I saw the smoke detector was missing and the wires were hanging out. I am thinking at least we can get that free continental breakfast before continuing our travels. Lol the jokes continue our breakfast was two varieties of nutri grain bars…

We landed around 12:30am and didn’t get there until 1am. We called to inform them that we were coming late. First rep was very helpful but checking in had its difficulties. Had to call my bank to confirm that we paid for the stay after going back and forth for about 30mins. Aside from that, the manager seemed really nice and fixed everything the next day. Angela was great. We didn’t have trouble with any noises but late at night there were a few stragglers roaming the area. Very simple breakfast options for on the go travelers. Would stay here again for short stays !

Room was nice except I think a herd of elephants rented the room above me. Disappointed no hair dryer or coffee maker in room. States breakfast included but don't really consider instant oatmeal packets and nutrigrain bars as breakfast. Won't be staying here again, really disappointed that Quality Inn was turned into apartments!

The rooms and beds were comfortable but very basic accommodations-simple beds and linens, minimal toiletries provided. There was a kitchenette in each room but no utensils or plates/cups to be able to use it. Limited coffee breakfast with a few packaged snack items. Customer service was fine but staff was not overly friendly. Check in process was long and a little complicated as they asked for ID from everyone staying in the room. There are large numbers of people living there along with their many dogs. We used our room mostly to just sleep and it was fine for that.

The staff graciously gave me a room upgrade to a 2 bed, but put me directly under a loud family of five. And considering that people live here full time, the residents were quite unsettling.

Definitely not the first place to go when on a trip with family. Lot of people, probably homeless, grouped at the parking dustbins and smoking. Room had a very bad odor, which never went away. Felt very shady and unsafe to walk out after dark. First time staying at extended stay and was very disappointed with it. Not a good experience, though the front desk lady was very sweet.

The stay at this hotel was incredible. The room was exceptionally clean, which was surprising given the affordable price. I’ll definitely choose this hotel if I visit Portland again. This experience has made me a fan of Extended America Hotels.
