Our recent stay at The Regency was superb. The property and facilities are all great but it was the people working there that really made it. Polite, professional, friendly and incredibly helpful. Everyone we spoke with was brilliant. Many thanks to all at The Regency.

Excellent hotel on Queens Promenade, friendly staff and very clean rooms. Breakfast a bit expensive at £14 full English or £10 Continental per day. Four floors with a very small lift with two metal gates rather than a door. My room on the third floor was very comfortable though the window was in a strange place behind the TV in the corner so there was little natural light i the room. Bus stops right outside the hotel and electric railway just a 5 minute walk away . I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again .

The staff and reception were amazing. They all made you so welcoming and providing all the info etc we needed. The hotel has the tiniest lift in the world which I loved and saves you carrying your cases. Breakfasts was cooked very well. The poached eggs and scrambled eggs, perfect. I could have done without the background music though. A special thanks to Tony who booked us in when we arrived. So helpful.

We had perfect 3 day stay with attention to every detail by the staff. The very traditional hotel had many original features and I would be hard pressed to find any criticisms. My wife and I were both equally happy with our stay.

A very well appointed hotel on the Seafront of Douglas. Staff freindly and restaurant was very good. French style menu. The hotel has kept its early years character whilst implementing modern touches to compliment the decor. Room was spacious and again well appointed with all you need, tea/coffee making, flat screen tv, fridge with water snd plenty sockets/ USB charge points. Highly recommend.

Great location. Right on the promenade and close to the electric tram station. Walk to the other end of the promenade bracing but level. Loved the island. You can see lots by public transport. Get a GO card. Such good value. Beds soft and been well slept in. Breakfast bit disappointing- very traditional. We had a bar meal the night we arrived. Again disappointed. Steak sandwich on plain white bread - ??? We found lots of other fantastic places to eat.

The pictures of the luxury double rooms with sea views (which is what we had paid for) showed a picture of a bay window with two chairs. Our room did not have a bay window and only had one chair - yes, we did technically have a sea view but you had to stand up! Despite having filtered on parking as that is important to us with an old car, it turned out that the only parking was on-street. I nearly cried on arrival. The rest of the experience was good.

The room G03 was dark, gloomy, no natural ventilation, obscure glass, no view, smell of spray disinfectant. Totally unacceptable, no alternatives available so we checked out straight away. Money refunded! Never use them again!

No info re booking table for dinner. Had to go elsewhere for wedding anniversary dinner. Not told saturdays breakfast starts 8 am so no food taken although paid for, prior to going to airport. Toilet seat did not fit pan so not comfortable. Otherwise staff friendly and helpful with bus times, directions etc.

As long as you book with the expectation that this is a relatively low cost hotel you won’t be disappointed. The staff were helpful, the room was basic but clean. It suited my requirements. I think the restaurant was a bit of a let down due to the high cost and lengthy wait for food - maybe I caught them at a bad time and there were no better options nearby. Not a great location if you want to walk to see/do things but there are transport options nearby.

The stay was excellent. Room was great and complete with a small office room that gave me chance to work efficiently. That was a great suprise and very welcome. Food was excellent as well making the stay a complete success and very pleasant.

Lovely hotel at the quieter end of Douglas promenade. We had a fantastic sea view room. The service was excellent and the food very good. Will definitely stay again.

For the money this was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Staff were very helpful and made us feel most welcome. Restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and quality dinner. Would recommend this hotel to anyone without quibble and intend to stay there again on my next visit to IOM.

From the front desk through the rest of the property, everyone was exceptional. I’m very grateful for the experience I had there. Tim and Claire at the front desk were great and the staff serving drink and food were very accommodating and kind. I would highly recommend staying there again and probably will do it again myself, given the opportunity.

Four floors with a very small lift with two metal gates rather than a door. My room on the third floor was very comfortable though the window was in a strange place behind the TV in the corner so there was little natural light i the room. Bus stops right outside the hotel and electric railway just a 5 minute walk away . I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again .

Great location. Right on the promenade and close to the electric tram station. Walk to the other end of the promenade bracing but level. Loved the island. You can see lots by public transport. As long as you book with the expectation that this is a relatively low cost hotel you won’t be disappointed. The staff were helpful, the room was basic but clean. It suited my requirements. I think the restaurant was a bit of a let down due to the high cost and lengthy wait for food - maybe I caught them at a bad time and there were no better options nearby. Not a great location if you want to walk to see/do things but there are transport options nearby.

For the money this was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Staff were very helpful and made us feel most welcome. Restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and quality dinner. Would recommend this hotel to anyone without quibble and intend to stay there again on my next visit to IOM.

The stay was excellent. Room was great and complete with a small office room that gave me chance to work efficiently. That was a great suprise and very welcome. Food was excellent as well making the stay a complete success and very pleasant.

The staff and reception were amazing. They all made you so welcoming and providing all the info etc we needed. The hotel has the tiniest lift in the world which I loved and saves you carrying your cases. Breakfasts was cooked very well. The poached eggs and scrambled eggs, perfect. I could have done without the background music though. A special thanks to Tony who booked us in when we arrived. So helpful.

Great traditional English style hotel with great service and good traditional breakfast. The locally smoked kippers are highly recommended to try for breakfast. Easy connections to bus, tram and train services and the view to the beach are great also from the hotel room.

The room was clean, however the sink was badly cracked and needed replacing. The furnishings in the room were fit for purpose, albeit very dated. I also found the room to be quite noisy - being able to hear showers running, toilets flushing etc from nearby rooms, early morning and during the night. I had a room at the back of the hotel and only had a view of other buildings. However, the rooms at the front including the sitting area, bar and restaurant had great views over the bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I did not have breakfast or eat in the restaurant, but the food in the bar was very good, although I thought it was expensive - but maybe not for the Isle of Man. The location was a long walk from the ferry terminal area, but well served by buses and the horse tram. It was also very close to the electric railway station.

Old style hotel. No atmosphere. The lift is extremely limited for space very narrow and you would struggle if you were a larger person. No restaurant open in our first night, Tuesday.
