Wow what a great place!! Pride of ownership shows through in everything. The property is clean, quiet, and well taken care of. Flowers everywhere and wonderful memorial gazebo. Great selection of items for the daily complimentary breakfast. Housekeeping was thorough and efficient, replaced towels & toiletries, vacuumed, made beds, and emptied garbage daily. They allow boat and trailers to park on the sides. We loved the nearby Young's golf course and restaurant, Lake Chicagon is right next door complete with boat ramp, beach and a camping area. Great for kids even though we didn't bring any. Highly recommend this true Gem, a Wonderful Hotel/Inn. Thank you for a great stay!!

The bed was uncomfortable and kind of lumpy. Also the bathtub was dangerous. It got very slippery when taking a shower and stepping out. The continental breakfast had a very limited selection of items. Other than that was mentioned it was nice and peaceful. Enjoyed sitting in the Anderondicks chairs they supplied very peaceful.

The couple who owns this place care so much about your stay and their property. Clean, warm, with literally everything you could need, even a vcr and more movies in the lobby than you could imagine. There are lazy boys in the room! So impressed with this motel off the beaten path. Worth the drive to it.

Stayed at this property for 4 days on a business trip. The room was great and the jacuzzi tub was an added bonus! Staff was always nice and cheerful and willing to have a conversation with you! If I'm ever in this area again, I will be staying there.

this was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. even the top of the doors and windows had no dust. the beds were perfect.

Found the mattress to be too soft. Blood stains on bedspread and sheets. Hot tub had soap scum ring. All that said, we enjoyed our stay and revisiting the area.

Very clean comfortable room. Employees were all helpful with dining options. Parking was easy in and easy out. Very nice having a little breakfast there. Would stay there again next time we are in the area.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Inn was across from the lake in a pleasant setting. Dining options were close by. The room was serviceable and everything worked properly. The building interior was dated and a bit shabby. The beds were too soft and lumpy instead of firm. Continental breakfast items were unhealthy- gooey donuts and sweetened juices. We drove into Iron River in search of coffee.

Room was large, clean, & nicely furnished. Bed was comfortable. Well stocked kitchen; just bring food to cook. The stunning Black River waterfalls are just up the road Don't be confused by the large Powdermill Creek resort sign or the vacated "lobby."

I only gave an average rating because we didn’t actually stay there, but I gave the staff a poor rating because I was very disappointed and communications with them. There was an error during booking and whether it was on my end or through the third-party website, they refuse to work with me on it. We were Five hours away in a different city, and they would not adjust the booking or work with us to make it work for them nor for us. Would not recommend if anything comes up.

My husband & I have stayed here several times, visiting family in the area. We love this clean quiet family-owned hotel. Colleen is the best, always friendly & helpful. When we stay here, we feel welcomed & at home. We love this place.

Reserved a king room, because I have a service dog they downgraded me to two queens. They state they don’t allow “pets” in king rooms, i advised that my dog isn’t a pet but rather a service animal. After the front desk contacted the owner, it made no difference. They then charged me more than the quoted Expedia price. No safety bolts or chains on the room doors, opens with a key. Beautiful rooms and property otherwise.

Great hotel for a northern MI stay. The only issue I had was the door knob was loose. Service was amazing. The lady that works the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed.

We had a golf trip planned with 5 other couples and booked this place as it had a nice outdoor area where we could relax and rehash our day of golf. Well weather didn’t cooperate The owner was nice enough to offer a room to use away from other guests so we wouldn’t disturb them. Even offered extra chairs an a card table. This was perfect just needed a place to unwind for an hour or so. Rooms were spotless and decor was adorable. Comfy beds and a wide variety for a continental breakfast. Recommend this adorable inn

It is in a beautiful setting and the staff were so friendly. It would be a great place to relax and refresh for a few days. We were just travelling through, so were surprised when we got there that we had to drive over 7 miles to find an open restaurant.

Overall a great place to stay for one night. Beds were comfy. View to the northeast was very nice during this time of the year (fall). Good choices for continental breakfast. Maybe add coffee cups with lids.

The room and service at hotel was great. Breakfast adequate. There is no coffee maker in the room and at breakfast they only have reg, so if you need decaf bring your own. Staff is friendly and helpful. Value for the stay was worth it. We will stay there again when in the area.
