Fife Lake was beautiful. The accommodations were nice. The only recommendation that I would say is that someone should clean the room if you’re staying there for a week and the beach that they offer should be cleaned from the goose feces and seaweed.

We loved the lake right outiside our door. We also liked.the store attatched to the properly. Able to fill up on necessities. Owners were very friendly.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay for a wedding in Traverse City. For how much it cost it was exactly what I needed. I am a fisherman and was a little disappointed I couldn’t fish off of the docks that were outside my door. The room was a bit better than I expected, very comfortable, AC worked great.

Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay at the Fife Lake Lodge. The place was clean, the lakeside view was nice, and I enjoyed the overall amenities such as the kayaks, private beach, the grills, and the bonfire. The one area that I would say made a difference is the customer service. The streamlined process via text made all the difference as I always received a message within a reasonable time. For renting the kayaks, my response time was within 20 minutes throughout our entire conversation which was lovely. Furthermore, I wanted to thank the service team for mailing me my pillow back. I slept better with my own pillow and forgot to grab it (that is on me), but I was thrilled with how the customer service team went above and beyond to get it back to me. If you are looking for a destination that has great amenities, has a relaxing lakeside view, and has one of the better customer services that I have experienced, then I would highly recommend Fife Lake Lodge.

There is only one very small bathroom for a place that is advertised to sleep 6. The shower leaks constantly, which we were not told about until our first or second day when I saw the young lady cleaning the room next door and asked for more towels as the bathroom stays wet due to constant dripping and there is no fan in the bathroom. She said the problem was in the wall. The bathroom was always wet, the shower stall was old and mildewed, very unsightly and unsafe for us 60+ adults trying to get cleaned up over multiple days & nights. The staff was very nice.

Try to take a shower to let the water run the 5 minutes you recommend without it splashing everywhere. Try taking a shower in that 2ft x 2ft shower box to shave your legs if your a woman. Plus not all of us are roku customers. Some directions would be appropriate. For those reasons not returning. The room was extremely clean.

Beautiful lake view. Very relaxing. The room is outdated. Carpet was very dirty. Being ground floor lake property, the room was musty smelling and bathroom had a very strong odor. Cleaning staff did pour cleaner in drain of shower and that helped a lot.

Easy check-in and check out. Clean with a spacious room and bathroom. Since the bathroom is so spacious, I would recommend adding an additional table or shelves to accommodate additional accessories and such.

When we first came in our room, there was this strong odor as if to mask smoke. I had to open the windows and door so the strong odor would go away. Aside from that the room was very clean and organized.

Also, the carpets were filthy, as my 10 month old was covered in dirt after crawling around. The check in/check out process was super smooth. Lastly, the towels smelled like mildew.

the stair to the bedroom is a little steep for some of us elder people, am glad that you put a notice to run the hot water for a bit to get it warm, the place I rented up in Boyne was the same, just no notice!

Liked that this is easy to get to, and easy to get in. No lobby, just a code to get you in the door, which I like. Beds were comfy with fluffy pillows. Loved that there was a mini fridge and microwave; not all places have both. Bathroom was nice and big and doesn't feel like an afterthought. Loved that our room was on the ground floor with a view of the lake. There is mild traffic outside, but if you can handle the occasional loud muffler or motorcycle, you'll be ok. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

What a lovely spot! Not a bad view anywhere. We loved our upper level room, with a view of the lake, and our friends had one of the 2 story rooms with an upper deck and lower patio. I wish I had more time to spend there!

The place is fine but it’s not what I requested. I did’t ask for a room with a kitchen. I asked for a 72 dollar room and was given a 165 dollar room. And I had to ask for the access code and instructions. When I got the email about the check in instructions, the link didn’t work.

Nice centrally located small lake community. Easy day trips Traverse City, Fishtown, the Dunes and Turtlecreek Casino!!! Older but updated nicely building and unit. My only complaint was that the shower head was broken where it attaches to the shower wall and we had to hold it while showering which was awkward.

Nice centrally located small lake community. Easy day trips Traverse City, Fishtown, the Dunes and Turtlecreek Casino!!! Older but updated nicely building and unit. My only complaint was that the shower head was broken where it attaches to the shower wall and we had to hold it while showering which was awkward.

Loved the whole vibe of the lake. I would encourage others to screenshot the door code/entry instructions as I could not get a signal and had to drive back to a gas station for wifi (makes sense in rural Michigan) so that I could login.

Great view (it’s right on the lake) and close to our places of interest. This Lodge has no staff. The Lodge is very close to a busy road and we could also hear everything in the adjoining rooms (including the snoring) White noise machine are provided, but it is very noisy. The bed and room was comfortable. The room charge is doubled by the hotel and booking fee/tax The fee gives you the room for twice the cost of the room. The communication is via email or text messages. The room we were given the shower leaked, which required a clean up and has caused previous damage to the floor.

Room was large and clean. It did, however, have a musty smell like other reviews mentioned. We stayed on the first floor and there was a couple of chairs and a table outside to sit and enjoy the lake. The shower is pretty small and the water (hot/cold) was a little difficult to regulate. I would definitely watch the hot water with small children as it gets super hot! We turned on the box fan in the room and I think that helped with the smell some, Nothing fancy just bare bones type of room. Lots of towels and wash cloths which is nice! The fife inn restaurant has amazing garlic cheese curds, it’s basically across the street! Ohhh and it’s just a thirty minute drive to the airport so convenient for that!

I only stayed one night, but wish I could have stayed longer. Everything was perfect. I definitely plan on making this a regular “stay at “ destination when I’m in the area and will recommend to other family and friends
