Fitger's Inn

I REALLY liked my 4 night stay at the Fitger Inn in Duluth. Fitger Inn is in a well-maintained 150 year old Brewery building, so it is an interesting, historical Inn. Rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom amenities are wonderful Aveda Rosemary and Mint soaps. The Inn offers free breakfast bars, coffee, and fresh fruit in the parlor every morning. The Inn also has several restaurants, a brewery, and a craft ice cream store. Best of all, the Fitger Inn is situated right on the shores of Lake Superior and adjacent to Duluth’s 7 mile Lake Walking Trail. The Inn is also right in center of Duluth, so one can easily get to restaurants, the Aquarium, the Lake Superior Harbor Cruise, and interesting stores. Fitger Inn also has a curtesy van to take you to and from the airport and to points around Duluth’s. Everything about this historic Inn results in great service, great location, and a wonderful stay.

Parking is a little bit of a challenge, but otherwise the stay was great. Clean, comfortable, nice shower and amenities.

I had never stayed at Fitger's Inn before, but everything was exactly as advertised. Even the "basic" room was excellent, the convenience of having a parking ramp, shops and restaurants right there was a huge bonus, and having the Lakewalk right outside the door with Canal Park within walking distance simplified sightseeing immensely. I'll stay here again, for sure.

Love the convenience of restaurants and shops. Unique building.
