Hotel is good, fine, not phenomenal or great. Parking bit tricky but manageable b/c fellow at front desk kind and helpful, will handle car for you. Has good attitude, wants guests to enjoy themselves. Location of property excellent, right in heart of Camden. Hotel elevator very slow; suggest using stairs unless hauling luggage.

What a perfect ending to our trip up and down the coast of Maine. Our room and balcony overlooked the street and we had such a good time people watching! The rooftop lounge was perfect. Good food, great drinks, and an incredible view of the harbor. We have stayed in Camden several times, but this location and hotel was the best. The bathroom was amazing and bed very comfortable. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. We will return.

The hotel was clean. The free breakfast was delicious every morning and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The only complaint I have is that the rooftop area, one of the reason we picked 16 Bay View, was closed for the season and there was no prior notice that it would be closed.

This is a very nice hotel. It is a bit pricey but well located in beautiful Camden. The only negative is that parking is a mess. The staff are all friendly and the breakfast is great. The pillows are not great, however

Nicely restored building. Cute walkable town No on site exercise facilities. Breakfast buffet sub par -runny scrambled eggs, marginally cooked bacon coffee served in paper cups. For the price we expected a more gourmet meal.

We loved 16 Bay View! Loved the location and the staff was so helpful. Walked to all the hot spots!! would highly recommend the 16 Bayview! The rooftop bar, was a great place to see the entire city and Bay! Met lots of really nice peope!!

It is a great property, but the parking is a bit sparse. It is close to everything, but many establishments were closed due to it being a Monday. And because the weather was rainy the rooftop was closed. The hotel lobby bar was cozy and the wait staff was great.

I’ve been staying at Bay View for many years. It’s always been top notch as far as cleanliness, etc. walked into our room and it was filthy. The front desk was nice enough to show us two other rooms that weren’t a whole lot better but being that we drive all the way from Mississippi, we ended up staying. It came with a hefty price tag to almost a grand for two nights. Far from what you would expect at that cost. I’m very disappointed.

Phenomenal staff with great parking assistance. Breakfast provide was substantial & staff friendly. Emma deserves a raise. She’s a rockstar. Only negative is the room housekeeping service could use a bit improvement.. ie better daily cleaning. The rooms are due for a deep cleaning.

There are many things we LOVED about this stay. The doube sided fireplace, the huge soaking tub, the double balconies with the beautiful views. The bed was very comfy and the hotel is very convenient to all things Camden. However, there was a piece of trash that was left in the shower along with what appeared to be a cleaning rag. The plug for the tub had mold on the interior and there was chipped paint on the wall around the tv. A little more attention to detail and the room would have been perfect.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all very friendly and hospitable. The view from our suite was lovely. There was a slightly unpleasant/antiseptic smell in our room and the carpet was worn (not that clean seeming). The bathroom also had a sulphur smell (?). Not sure. If the carpet was replaced and/or wood, I believe it would be 100% improved. Rooftop bar was fantastic!

Good location within Camden. Check in was fine though parking is a challenge if you arrive late. Breakfast was good with some fresh baked goods as well as eggs, bacon and granola. Our room was fine but the carpet looked like it could do with a clean.

Fantastic location, and wonderful staff. However at this price point, I should not have to consider wearing flip flops in the shower. There’s a mold issue in the shower and though the shower head is very nice and modern it wasn’t as clean as it should be. The room carpet was very dirty, there food crumbs in night stand drawers and whole loose chips on the beautiful fancy chairs! First thing we saw when we walked in the room, pointed out to front desk staff who happened to be walking by, they seemed shocked and apologetic. The room needed a professional deep clean. Fiends that traveled with us and stayed in another room on a different floor said the same thing about mold in shower. Again great location and very kind staff just needed it to be cleaner for what we paid.

This is a beautiful property. It has a nice rooftop bar that overlooks the harbor. They have a full breakfast included. The rooms are top notch with a fireplace, soaker tub, separate rain shower, heated bathroom floors, balcony and plush bedding and towels galore. They even give you a fuzzy warm blanket to use. Since it was cold all the heating amenities came in handy. I really loved this whole place, the vibe and the staff were on point. The only thing I recommend is getting a harbor view room. The street side overlooks a postal warehouse. Also room 34 is directly in front of the ice machine, which is convenient but noisy at all hours. Overall if Camden wasn’t so lackluster i would return to this place without a doubt.

This is a lovely property and convenient to restaurants and shops. The only complaint I have was the noise level in our room which was across the hall from the ice machine and across the street from the post office with trucks delivering in the wee hours.

The hotel itself was wonderful- very clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The bar downstairs was also really good, and the breakfast was really good for being included with your stay. My advice is to get a room on the ocean side if you're a light sleeper. The hotel is directly across from a bar that is open until 1am and it was very noisy. Also, there is a bell that rings every hour (one ring for each hour of the day). I would definitely stay here again, but on the water side.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all very friendly and hospitable. The view from our suite was lovely. There was a slightly unpleasant/antiseptic smell in our room and the carpet was worn (not that clean seeming). The bathroom also had a sulphur smell (?). Not sure. If the carpet was replaced and/or wood, I believe it would be 100% improved. Rooftop bar was fantastic!

What a perfect ending to our trip up and down the coast of Maine. Our room and balcony overlooked the street and we had such a good time people watching! The rooftop lounge was perfect. Good food, great drinks, and an incredible view of the harbor. We have stayed in Camden several times, but this location and hotel was the best. The bathroom was amazing and bed very comfortable. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. We will return.

this place is special. the room had a cute little balcony, the bathroom was top notch. breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed an evening night cap at the bar. walking to town and the marina. la cav restaurant downstairs was so delicious. i highly recommend it. i’d come back and stay here again!

16 Bay View is a lovely hotel in a great location in Camden. We had a suite on the 3rd floor with fantastic views of the harbour and out to the ocean. The breakfast was very nice, with a good choice. The View bar restaurant on the roof was exceptional, great views, good beer & cocktails and great food. The downsides: which is why I have only given 4 stars; Parking is a nightmare, limited spaces, which meant I parked on the street one night. I was only informed of valet parking on the last night when I complained. Also, as stated the View Bar on the roof is exceptional but our suite was underneath and it was noisy from chairs and other items being moved etc. And then there was live music one night, which literally sounded like the performer was in our room. Customers on the 3rd floor need to be informed they may be disturbed by the music. Despite these two problems I would recommend and will stay again.

We’ll definitely stay here again next time through Camden. If you’re up for an adventurous hike, Mt Battie Tower is very challenging with steep cliffs and lots of crawling.

We had a third-floor king room (#35) with a balcony. There is a rooftop bar/restaurant directly above this room, and the floor noise (heavy walking, furniture scraping, rolling carts, etc.) is VERY loud. It is open until 9 p.m. and clean-up takes another 1-2 hours. If you're a night owl, this won't be a problem. But if you're like me and turn in early, it was a huge disruption. After I complained, the manager reached out to me personally (great conversation) and provided us with a discount to compensate. The gesture was appreciated. Note that rooftop facility is being re-evaluated, and the guest rooms are being renovated. I would avoid #35, as the carpet is worn and musty in addition to the noise. Another room might be fine.
