Our stay was Outstanding. The staff was great and accommodating. The rooms were very clean. The pool was fantastic and the kids really enjoyed it. Nice and quiet and relaxing at night. Walking distance to the beach and boardwalk.

Cute beach motel! 2 blocks from Jenks (about 8 min walk), close to a nice park (free concerts on Tuesdays we heard), free parking, pool and a larger motel than we're used to. We had a nice size room with 2 beds & a kitchenette. Not a full-sized fridge, but had small electric stove, sink & micro. Bathroom looked updated & we appreciated little things like the soft closing toilet. Not the cheapest game in town, and they charge $15 extra for use of pool & internet. Coffee & fresh pastries by the pool from 9am - 12pm. Most rooms are right ON the pool, but they are very strict about noise, swimming, etc after 9pm. We slept well! Owners are very nice & accommodating. Very present. Also, cleaning staff always around tidying pool area, etc. I always say - PLEASE - need hooks! Hooks on doors for bags, clothes, towels, etc. Hooks!!! Overall, a nice stay.

The property itself is in something of a shambles. The locks on the doors don't work properly, I had to play with the key every time to open the door. It seemed like the lock might be rusted or just old. Also I made a noise complaint because the room next to mine sounded like it had a party with 20 people in it. Parking was also an issue as there were four guys who were probably all staying in the same room but only paying for one and only registering one car. I was afraid to move my car because I would not have been able to get another spot. Since this is in Point pleasant during season parking is hard to find and as a matter of fact on Saturday I had to park on the street because there was no parking available at the motel itself. Housekeeping staff did not remove all items from the refrigerator in the unit as I found a melted ice cream Ben & Jerry's or something. There was also burn marks on the counter as the unit had an electric stove and microwave. Bathroom and bed were both clean. I would not stay there again

It was our first time there it was nice. They have a beautiful pool. They can do better at breakfast instead of muffins everytime.. everyone was nice. They refilled our towels.

Pool needs work but was nice…door wouldn’t open with the key without a lot of difficulty. No one to call after hours to change our room - we’d get stuck in the room because the door knob wouldn’t open the door. Could use a bathroom in the lobby

The location is great, close to boardwalk BUT the hotel itself is very old, not “ retro” like the hotel owners had described in other reviews. The second floor has these carpets and other types of materials taped down to the floor, covering up old crumbing flooring beneath. There are many tripping hazards due to this. They need a new floor in the outdoor walkways leading to second floor rooms. No excuse, it’s just being covered up and looks dirty. The ceiling tile in the bathroom fell out when we closed the bathroom door. Rooms were tolerable but would never stay again for the price, absolutely insane what they charge here, for what it is. Also, resort fee to use the pool and you have to pay to park there and they do not give you beach tags.

Nice place. Clean. Beds comfortable. Staff very pleasant. But you have to pay extra for the WiFi & pool access plus the coffee and 1/4 muffins (which is not available until 9am). Plus is additional for parking too. Also, the WiFi was intermittent at best. I finally just gave up and used my data. And the A/C does not stay on. It goes off completely if you’re not in the room so you come back all sweaty from beach and the room is hot. It goes on and off at night. Some nights was just too warm and kept waiting for it to kick back on. All in all I still would consider coming back but would compare the nightly rates with other hotels with the extras added in.

We left at around 10 or 11 each day and the room was never touched by cleaning staff. No covering on the bathroom window - we had to prop a towel for privacy. Not worth the steep price.

The motel was less than desirable. Kind of pricey for the outdated deteriorating condition. On the last night of my stay came back to the room late and when I turned the lights on there were roaches in the kitchen area. I let the front desk know and they didn’t even offer a discount. I wasn’t expecting a refund but some kind of gesture to show they care. My friend also stayed in the room below us and her room stunk like mold. Needless to say we will not go back.

This is a cute old place and the staff is very friendly. Our room was clean, beds comfy, the air conditioning worked great, and we had a nice view of the boardwalk lights at night which my son loved. The location is perfect for being able to walk to the beach and boardwalk. The property recently celebrated 60 years in business, so unfortunately, the place could use some work. Our bathroom sink was slow to drain, the door knob was about to come off. The safety latch to lock the door at night got stuck and was very difficult to remove. There were long dark hairs in some of the small “clean” towels, so I have to question the facilities washing practices. (We had brought our own towels anyway.) They definitely need to speak to the maid staff about the quality/diligence of the cleaning services. But the pool was clean, they offered coffee and some breakfast in the mornings, and overall, the place was fine. Just keep in mind that it’s a 60-year-old property and bring your own towels!! lol

I loved staying here. The people who there are very nice. It’s a good walking distance to the boardwalk about 8-9 minutes. You don’t have to drive to get to the boardwalk. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

The hotel staff was very nice. The hotel itself is badly in need of upgrades to the rooms and the walkways on the second floor. The bathrooms are very small and were not meticulously cleaned as we saw what looked like a drop of blood on the floor when we checked in. Parking is challenging, but once the attendee saw we were a guest of the hotel let us park.

Sheets/towels were clean, glad to see there were mattress covers, but the floors were really dirty, and furniture very dusty. This was off-season, but still, no room for customers should be that dirty. 🙁

The bathroom was astrosious! the AC didn't work in the room and we couldnt sleep because the walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone in the rooms next to you. Sorry but we wont be back.

Location was great, pool was nice, but that's about it. A/C unit was in desperate need of cleaning, and was coughing up dust clumps onto the bed constantly. Unfortunately, the A/C was not on when we got to our room, so it was about 90 degrees, forcing us to blast the air. For some reason the room door would only open about 45 degrees, which was super annoying. I heard other guests comment on this also, so it wasn't only our room. Beds had a single very thin blanket (maybe to encourage less use of the A/C?). Bathrooms seemed mostly clean, and ample towels were provided, though there was only soap and no shampoo. That said, service was great. We requested late checkout and it was granted, and front desk staff were very nice.

Unfortunately, the A/C was not on when we got to our room, so it was about 90 degrees, forcing us to blast the air. For some reason the room door would only open about 45 degrees, which was super annoying. I heard other guests comment on this also, so it wasn't only our room. Beds had a single very thin blanket (maybe to encourage less use of the A/C?). Bathrooms seemed mostly clean, and ample towels were provided, though there was only soap and no shampoo. That said, service was great. We requested late checkout and it was granted, and front desk staff were very nice.

Plus is additional for parking too. Also, the WiFi was intermittent at best. I finally just gave up and used my data. And the A/C does not stay on. It goes off completely if you’re not in the room so you come back all sweaty from beach and the room is hot. It goes on and off at night. Some nights was just too warm and kept waiting for it to kick back on. All in all I still would consider coming back but would compare the nightly rates with other hotels with the extras added in.

Our stay was Outstanding. The staff was great and accommodating. The rooms were very clean. The pool was fantastic and the kids really enjoyed it. Nice and quiet and relaxing at night. Walking distance to the beach and boardwalk.

Expedia allowed me to make a reservation after the office was closed. I got there and no one was on site. I called the number of the door twice and the second time a rather rude woman told me they were closed and no one would come to register me. The reservation was cancelled by Expedia yet they called me TWICE to verify when I was checking in the next day. They need to get it together or stop using the tech to book their rooms.

In general an okay place for proximity to the beach. At checkin staff was not friendly. I asked about a public restroom none available. I asked for recomendations on places to eat and had nothing to share other than restaurants in town. Air conditioner needed service did not work well room uncomfortable with heat. Coffee or other normal expected accomodations not out until well after returning from breakfast. I feel like staff could be more attentive in general to visitors.

The closeness to the beach is great. We slept fine. Not having any amenities was extremely disappointing especially given that there are no places to purchase anything that’s necessary. In addition, when we needed assistance from the front desk, nobody answered despite our calling several times.

I loved staying here. The people who there are very nice. It’s a good walking distance to the boardwalk about 8-9 minutes. You don’t have to drive to get to the boardwalk. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

I paid $166 for this room. Upon arrival, I was charged $205 because they don’t tell you that there is a $15 fee for breakfast and pool and the WiFi no matter what. They also charge you $18 for parking on their lot. The rooms were a good size but I wouldn’t step foot in the showers and the entire place smelled of stale cigarettes. Will definitely not stay again

Cute beach motel! 2 blocks from Jenks (about 8 min walk), close to a nice park (free concerts on Tuesdays we heard), free parking, pool and a larger motel than we're used to. We had a nice size room with 2 beds & a kitchenette. Not a full-sized fridge, but had small electric stove, sink & micro. Bathroom looked updated & we appreciated little things like the soft closing toilet. Not the cheapest game in town, and they charge $15 extra for use of pool & internet. Coffee & fresh pastries by the pool from 9am - 12pm. Most rooms are right ON the pool, but they are very strict about noise, swimming, etc after 9pm. We slept well! Owners are very nice & accommodating. Very present. Also, cleaning staff always around tidying pool area, etc. I always say - PLEASE - need hooks! Hooks on doors for bags, clothes, towels, etc. Hooks!!! Overall, a nice stay.

It was quiet and other guests were friendly. The stair treads need to replaced before someone trips and falls. They add too many extra fees on to really inflate your bill. The designated smoking area was never really cleaned up. Ashtrays were not emptied unless by other smokers into a bigger ashtray. Coffee and light snacks need to be much earlier especially for earlier risers. Offers snack bar/cafe which is non-existent except for breakfast snacks.

It was nice, definitely a family place. The continental breakfast was just muffin quarters. There was no shampoo/conditioner provided. Also no one came and freshened our room the entire stay and we had to ask for more towels because of it. But, it was walking distance of boardwalk, the pool was clean and there was plenty of seating on the patio.

This place needs a major update. It smells, the AC is loud and the walls are thin. There is not cent fan in the bathroom and it's gets really hot and stuffy in there. They do not provide shampoo and conditioner...I had to borrow regular sized bottles from the front desk. I get it that it's an older property but it could be a lot better and it's not that cheap. The staff was nice, parking easy.

When we visit Point Pleasant, we will definitely come back to this motel. It is minutes from the boardwalk and beach, so you don’t have to worry about finding parking. The pool and patio is so convenient!
