Motel 6 Williamstown

The staff was very kind and helpful but the bathroom was riddled with bugs that kept coming from the sink. It was kinda inconvenient to drive around the property to get to the lobby as well.

This was the worst motel I have stayed at. The security door is off the hinges. The fire alarm beeped every 30 seconds because it needed a battery change. The rooms smell of smoke and the faucet hung into the sink. I was told that the “alarm is no problem”. Later the manager said “it’s your problem if you can’t sleep through this and it is a state requirement to have this beeping for security”. I was offered a new room. So we left the hallway that felt like a drug den. The next room smelled the exact same as the first. I asked if she allowed smokers in all rooms and she said they were non-smoking. The smell exacerbated my husband’s asthma. We contacted Expedia who was helping us cancel. They spoke with the manager who insisted I look at another room. He lead me to a room that did not smell of smoke stating they only save a few of the rooms that are “truly” non-smoking. We settled in. Later we find that the door doesn’t close… even after slamming it with my body weight. Luckily my husband managed to close the door after scraping up his hand. Further, the water is well water and undrinkable. They also gave us 1 towel for 2 people. For those of you who are staying at this Motel 6 because of Motel 6’s “Pets Always Stay Free” policy, pick an alternate hotel. They have $50 daily pet fee plus a security charge (I believe $250). Put your paycheque towards a different hotel and save yourself a headache.

If I could leave a negative star I would. Check in was at 3pm we made it in at 3:40pm to be told we have to wait another 30minutes. We then went back to our family house came back later that evening to go to our rooms and lay down to find dirty sheets with stains, hair, and burned holes in the comforter. We called the office to bring clean sheets just to get a new set of dirty sheets. We went down to the office to complain and ask for clean sheets to come back to the room and get more dirty ash burned sheets. We ended up going to Walmart to buy our own sheets to sleep on. After we had to Lysol the room down, mop the floor, clean the bathroom. There was dust all over the furniture. The shower doesn’t get hot water but the sink does. The walls had stains on them. It sucks because there is only two motels and one hotel which was booked. Motel 6 corporate probably needs to send them new sheets as it seems they have none.

The credit card machine wasn’t working so I had to go get cash. No milk for coffee.

Do not stay here. First room was completely disgusting, air conditioner and tv didn’t work. Got moved to a different room, also gross. If you’re planning on staying here bring BLEACH! the shower looks like it has never been cleaned. “Housekeeping” goes around with linens in a shopping cart, no cleaning products just a mop that they use in every room. Unless you have no where else to go, DONT STAY HERE. Oh, and in the middle of the night there was a rat or something in the room!! NO THANK YOU!! Majority of the people staying here live there, and don’t even get me started on how you get one DIRTY TOWEL, and ONE FLAT PILLOW.

Our first night a howling hooker right across from our room check in 10:30 screaming groaning, smell of marijuana very strong, one towel for a couple no shampoo, musty smell in room, broken fridge leg, broken door entrance hanging wood nails sticking out head level had to ask worker to remove it rusty stairs, thin curtain to keep sun out overall very poor wouldn’t return. The good reviews and pics are not accurate.

The rooms do not reflect the pictures. The sheets had urine and blood stains, the room was dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The pathways and parking lots were a sheet of ice, the places that had been shoveled at least. The lights were out leaving you to be walking in the dark around the property which is not only dangerous with the ice, but dangerous for personal safety. I asked management when I booked the room to please make sure my room was on the 1st floor near the office in a well lit area. They put my 70 year old mother in the back of the building. It was a nightmare. Needless to say my mother left immediately and went to another hotel nearby. We’ve used motel 6 plenty of times over the last 40 years and I’ve never seen anything like this.

This property is awful in all respects. I booked a room with a king bed, and got one with 2 queens that liked nothing like what was pictured. The linens are stained, dingy and unpressed. The rooms are undecorated. The towels are not fit to be dust rags. The bathroom is unfinished and had no amenities whatsoever. The room had no lamp just a ceiling light operated from the rooms doorway. Had I not been exhausted from a medical treatment and the 10 hour drive I would have left immediately.

The shower floors are disgusting. Bring flip flops if you have to shower. Prison showers are better than that.

The bathroom was filthy. The sink was clogged. The TV did not work, it would work for a few minutes then go off. The room smelled moldy. We stayed as long as we could but wound up checking out early. Would not recommend anyone staying there. I will never stay there again.

Should not be in business sooo disgusting

The rooms are filthy. Dirty towels were left in one of the rooms. Every linen item was stained. Almost every in the room was in a state of disrepair. The room had an unpleasant odor. It was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in.

Did not like the property at all. The hall carpeting was filthy and the room very small. No cups or any amenities in the room at all.

Motel 6 in Williamstown NJ was an excellent stay, couldn’t have been happier, the staff was very friendly and helpful, some of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of talking to, and the stay was overall very comfortable for me. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a weekend getaway!

Called me on Thursday and said they have no rooms available. I have yet to receive a refund for our booking.
