This is a great location inside city walls. Comfy beds, very clean, and lovely staff. We enjoyed our dinner in the lounge as well. Highly recommend.

Impeccable little hotel. We were there on a heat wave the first day, and our room lacked central a/c, but there was a portable unit and a fan. The restaurant was outstanding, unusual for a hotel restaurant.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff, very walkable location. Restaurant downstairs serves an excellent meal. We weren’t sure what to expect from the photos but found the hotel to be very clean, comfortable and well maintained. Charming decor.

Met at the door by a friendly concierge who took my car to the valet parking facility. Staff at reception also very friendly and welcoming. We stayed one night and had a reservation for dinner in the Wig and Gown. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. I went for the Tomahawk steak(highly recommend this!). They stock craft beer at the bar including Barking Bishop which was nice too. The whole hotel is spotless, rooms well decorated and comfortable beds. This was my first time staying here and I will be back in the near future. Highly recommended

Conveniently located in the centre of the walled city so everything is walkable. Staff were fantastic, helpful and really made us feel welcome, including finding us an earlier eating slot. Car park just across the road, and onsite dining options most welcome on a rainy night. Beautiful high ceilinged room but no bath. 'King' bed actually two singles pushed together, and not the most comfortable. Good breakfast, but if you dont read the menu properly, you might be a bit surprised to get salmon with your eggs benedict!

Absolutely outstanding service from reception staff thru car valet bar staff waitress room service. Super clean place, dining 5 star. Cannot fault this place at all. Location is superb for city seeing. Only one down side was a bit noisy neighbours up above our apartment - but that’s not a hotel fault just lack of manners from some.

Great hotel within the city walls. Short walk to all we needed. Quiet at night. Excellent, friendly service. Reasonably priced valet parking was a pleasant surprise. Great menu at the 'Wig' and the food was very good. Would absolutely stay again.

The staff were so friendly and helpful - especially Kaysi on reception and Michael who showed us to our room. The apartment/room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Our meal in the hotel restaurant was outstanding. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Lovely hotel, very accommodating and helpful staff. Super king bed was super comfy. Only two niggles were there was no toothpaste provided (which for a business traveler is useful to supply) and the mirror hadn’t been cleaned properly which (in a bathroom) isn’t pleasant.

The rooms are in poor condition, needs serious updating. Overpriced. The best thing was the staff. They were very professional and helped made our stay acceptable.

Great location just inside the Walled City. Easy access to dining, touring, and entertainment. Great views of the city and direct access to Free Derry for historical context. Room was good though small--only room for one chair for two people. Hotel food was grand. Staff was personable, professional, and responsive. Off-site parking was easy--just one block across the street.

Gorgeous hotel! Our room was beautiful with large windows, window seat and a fireplace. The staff is friendly and super helpful. Loved our stay!

Pros: the staff downstairs are very nice. The location is good. Cons: the rooms are incredibly noisy, to the point where you cannot get a good night of sleep. We were in room 102. The walls and door to the room must be paper thin because we could hear every step and conversation in the hall and every door closing for floors in every direction as though it was next to our bed. Incredibly frustrating. When I mentioned this to the front desk, the person at reception said she’d never had any noise complaints. However, when I talked to the others in my group they too said their rooms were incredibly noisy.

From the moment we walked through that revolving door, we felt cared for. Due to a delayed flight, we were running late for a city tour. The desk staff jumped into action, a gentleman offered to park iur car and then drive us to our tour location. We dumped the luggage, changed our shirts and made it to our tour in time. The restaurant got us in for dinner earlier than our reservation and a good nights sleep followed. The mornings check out when just as well. I just cant say enough about the staffs kindness and willingness to help.

Lovely boutique hotel right in the centre of Derry. Charming delightful staff, all very helpful. Robyn at reception has an award for best receptionist and certainly more than lives up to this! I left my phone and iPad chargers in the hotel - she kindly posted them to our next hotel. A million thanks!

Desk check in/out so friendly and welcoming. Patrick even carried my 45# luggage around the corner & up 3 flights of stairs! At check out they allowed us to store our luggage for 4 hours. Very good breakfast. The Bishops Gate #3 that we stayed in has a very comfortable bed. Kitchen had bottled water in the fridge, coffee tea & snacks on the counter.

We checked in ( 3 rooms 6 people ) later in the evening. We were not able to eat in the restaurant because it was closing. The front desk clerk recommended another location. Based on this recommendation we walked there. This place was closed already. VERY inconvenient.

We were greeted warmly by Kasey in reception and treated with kindness and respect throughout our entire stay. The junior suite was spacious and nicely done. The location was convenient to all of the sights we wanted to explore. Would highly recommend.

The staff were outstanding and extremely attentive towards myself and my Mother. Exceptional with helping my mother who is disabled and supplied the highest of standards! I absolutely loved my stay here and would definitely stay anytime again! The staff are a credit to this hotel! Thank you so much for the best nights stay!

Bishops Gate is a rare find in Derry! It is impeccable is so many ways… friendly and helpful staff, beautiful bar, delicious breakfast, and perfect location. We stayed 2 nights and had a relaxing stay. Need to come back and stay longer!

Well run hotel great friendly staff. Bit disappointed with car parking valeting service at £18.00 per night. Room a little cramped but otherwise great stay in Derry.

The bishops Gate was an excellent hotel for our needs. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The location is excellent. As were the dining facilities. I would highly recommend the Bishops Gate.

Perfect spot within the city walls to explore Derry! We stayed in one of the adjacent Bishop's Gate Apartments and were very happy with the accommodations.

Great location just inside the Walled City. Easy access to dining, touring, and entertainment. Great views of the city and direct access to Free Derry for historical context. Room was good though small--only room for one chair for two people. Hotel food was grand. Staff was personable, professional, and responsive. Off-site parking was easy--just one block across the street.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The location is convenient, especially if experiencing Derry within the walls of the city is the goal. The breakfast was excellent in a lovely restaurant. In short a good experience for a good value.

This is a great location inside city walls. Comfy beds, very clean, and lovely staff. We enjoyed our dinner in the lounge as well. Highly recommend.

Impeccable little hotel. We were there on a heat wave the first day, and our room lacked central a/c, but there was a portable unit and a fan. The restaurant was outstanding, unusual for a hotel restaurant.

Met at the door by a friendly concierge who took my car to the valet parking facility. Staff at reception also very friendly and welcoming. We stayed one night and had a reservation for dinner in the Wig and Gown. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. I went for the Tomahawk steak(highly recommend this!). They stock craft beer at the bar including Barking Bishop which was nice too. The whole hotel is spotless, rooms well decorated and comfortable beds. This was my first time staying here and I will be back in the near future. Highly recommended

Robyn, Patrick, and Emmet were life savers. We had a flat tire on our rental car earlier in the day so I was extremely stressed when we arrived. I had to have the rental car company send someone to replace the tire. Patrick and Robyn got us all checked in and helped with our luggage. When the car guy hadn't shown up by bedtime, Emmet took care of taking him to the car so he could fix everything so we could go to bed. When we got up the next morning, they had taken care of everything so we could be on our way again. All of the help was greatly appreciated!

Excellent staff at reception. Beautiful property with a wonderful restaurant. We stayed at a spacious, beautifuly decorated one bedroom apartment in an adjacent building. The living room was large, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The small frig was plenty for our needs. The only problem was that shower water temperature was unreliable. The two couples that we traveled with stayed in the main hotel and did not have that problem
