Great pub with nice modern and clean rooms in separate adjoining building. Good choice of real ales, good menu and reasonable prices. However, it is the staff that make this place, they’re really good and a credit to the place.

Very welcoming and friendly place to stay, staff were good, lodgings round the back of the pub are excellent, modern and clean with big rooms and comfy beds and on the whole the pub seems popular with locals. Things of note - breakfasts were excellent where you chose what you like the night before and served beautifully and the evening meals good with fairly regular fair but especially the specials small blackboards are top notch and are a bit more than special so watch out for those. Compliments to the kitchen staff.

The accommodation was roomy and spotless. Actually the best we stayed in during our stay in the uk. Unforturnately it was only one night. The restaurant, bar were great, the food was very good and the staff were very accommodating.

I’ve stayed here many times as it’s so good. Rooms are spotless and very modern. There is great parking and the food in the bar / restaurant is always exceptional, it’s very reasonable and there are daily specials. The staff are both friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble

Had a twin bed room which was clean and tidy the walk in shower was very big and towels were warming on towel rail The evening meal was very good but strange having to choose your breakfast required the night before! Downside bedroom overlooked busy Road junction

I was given a lovely room, a suite on the first floor of the modern accommodation building. Spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom and walk in shower, Breakfast was traditional English with limited healthy and continental options. Breakfast could avoid disposable containers to be greener.

Our second stay at the White Hart as we visited for a friend's party nearby. Accommodation is clean and safe. Really liked the prebook system for breakfast and the fact that they put your room number on the table so you know where you are sitting. Good choice of breakfast. There was an issue with TV reception whilst we were there but they were dealing with this when we left.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good food in the pub/restaurant on site. The breakfast area is separate from the pub area, which we thought was a nice touch. Room was a good size (it was the Stratton Suite). Water was great pressure in the shower. Just one small thing. The door at the top of the stairs needs some WD40!

I stayed at The White Hart while on a business trip to the Oxford/Swindon area. I cannot say enough about this wonderful inn and its kind, accommodating staff. My room was clean and comfortable, and I felt very much at home there. It also was very convenient to have The White Hart gastropub right there for my delicious breakfast and evening meals. I would gladly come back to The White Hart on future travel, either for business or pleasure (the Cotswold and all its beauty is right there), and would confidently recommend it to others.

Really good value, convenient location for us, surprisingly quiet. We had no problem parking. It well signed, outside and in. Helpful, courteous, cheerful staff. A spacious room (a little cool at first). Decent, tasty dinner ( not inc) Lovely breakfast (inc) Would recommend the White Hart..👍

Stayed for 3 nights start of August. We love stopping here for a few days (must be our fifth stay) as it's a great base for access to Oxford & Cotswolds areas. Great accommodation, staff and good food - what more do you need?

I was in Swindon to visit Marlborough and Avebury, but Marlborough was full due to the solstice celebration. Swindon had the rail station and The White Hart turned out to be a better choice than the Marlborough hotels, although there was the inconvenience of bus and infrequent Uber service. Still, the pub was very nice, the food good, the room pristine and comfortable, and the staff very friendly. Recommended if you’re passing through Swindon.

Fantastic hotel, with great, knowledgeable staff. Brilliant room, with a really comfortable bed, very spacious too. The restaurant/bar was really buzzing and the food was excellent, as was breakfast. Highly recommend the White Hart, loads of parking tops it off

I was given a lovely room, a suite on the first floor of the modern accommodation building. Spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom and walk in shower, Breakfast was traditional English with limited healthy and continental options.

Very welcoming and friendly place to stay, staff were good, lodgings round the back of the pub are excellent, modern and clean with big rooms and comfy beds and on the whole the pub seems popular with locals. Things of note - breakfasts were excellent where you chose what you like the night before and served beautifully and the evening meals good with fairly regular fair but especially the specials small blackboards are top notch and are a bit more than special so watch out for those. Compliments to the kitchen staff.

A very last minute booking that turned out to be a real gem. Well designed and cosy pub where we were served excellent and reasonably priced food by cheerful and very helpful staff. The rooms are situated a very short walk from the pub and were spacious, clean and very well equipped. Close proximity to major traffic routes was a bonus but that in no way detracted from the quiet and tranquil feel of the hotel. Would highly recommend the White Hart as a stopover or a base to explore the many attractions in the area.

We have stayed here 3 times in the past year while visiting family in Swindon .. it’s such a lovely place the rooms are nice and clean the beds are very comfortable, the pub where you have breakfast is lovely and the breakfast itself is always excellent.. good choice on the menu too .. we will definitely book again in the next few months when visiting again, thanks white hart, such a lovely stay.

Room was spacious with a lovely big comfy bed. No ac but they provided a fan but room 10 was pretty cool as it was shaded. Breakfast had to be pre order but was nice. Good choice. Bathroom was clean with a large shower. Enjoyable stay
