We booked a room here because we wanted to check out some live music and didn't want to drive afterwards. The room was small but clean. There were shared bathrooms and showers. No food service but, lots of options very close by. The music was great and the staff was very friendly. We live quite a ways out of town so, this worked out really well for us. Would definitely do it again.

The best part was the character of the place....it had a great vibe from the Blues on Whyte club downstairs. Was exactly what I expected.....great location to stay a night or two. Not a luxury resort but was a pleasant quick stay. Staff were great and check in /out was easy.

Heather and the security staff were most accomodating. They gave me a larger room with 2 twin beds while some plumbing repair was made on my original booked single room for one person. Adjacent to the renovated hotel was a great blues club -Blues On Whyte- which was a free access to Saturday afternoon jamming AND a free blues performance at night. Also - the access to the Whyte Ave. shopping district with a myriad of ethnic restaurants and shopping boutiques was a wonderful and walkable experience. I'm going back soon as I can...

I came to town for a Metallica concert and stayed at this hotel. After the concert, when I returned to the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by a bar on the first floor. There was an amazing party with live music, and the musicians were playing incredibly well, very professionally. I went to bed after 2 a.m. I'm glad I chose this hotel.

If you are in to experiencing the Edmonton nightlife then this is the hotel for you. Many restaurants, theaters, shops, bars, and markets within walking distance. The hotel itself is an older building, the rooms are small, shared bathrooms, and no air conditioning. It’s located on a very active street so be aware it could be noisy (especially if you open the window). But if you are OK with that I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. A fan in the room would have been appreciated though. There are no other hotels in the immediate area so if you want to experience the neighborhood this where you want to stay.

Go in with low expectations. Knowing its a hostel is important. Its NOT a hotel. Light in room but no lightbulb. Tag left on blankets meaning they hadnt been washed. No outlet in bathroom so dont expect to use a blow dryer or straightener. Tv was setup. But the cord didnt reach any outlets, so we were unable to use it. Nice room just wasnt ready for ppl to be staying in. Unfortunate, but did the job.

Uniquely bad. No toilet paper in one of the rooms, shared toilets unclean, no towels, air con broken so no sleep. not sure where all the excellent reviews come from. More a bad hostel than a pub hotel. The bar manager checked us in and he was nice but got to be the weirdest experience of a hotel ever. Dont bother believing the good reviews. Avoid!!

The rooms have been updated and there clean,they are small however its an older hotel. The carpet in the hallways needs to be replaced or a shampoo cleaning. Over all it was a nice experience.

Heather and the security staff were most accomodating. They gave me a larger room with 2 twin beds while some plumbing repair was made on my original booked single room for one person. If you are in to experiencing the Edmonton nightlife then this is the hotel for you. Many restaurants, theaters, shops, bars, and markets within walking distance. The hotel itself is an older building, the rooms are small, shared bathrooms, and no air conditioning. It’s located on a very active street so be aware it could be noisy (especially if you open the window). But if you are OK with that I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. A fan in the room would have been appreciated though. There are no other hotels in the immediate area so if you want to experience the neighborhood this where you want to stay.

We booked a room here because we wanted to check out some live music and didn't want to drive afterwards. The room was small but clean. There were shared bathrooms and showers. No food service but, lots of options very close by. The music was great and the staff was very friendly. We live quite a ways out of town so, this worked out really well for us. Would definitely do it again.

The best part was the character of the place....it had a great vibe from the Blues on Whyte club downstairs. Was exactly what I expected.....great location to stay a night or two. Not a luxury resort but was a pleasant quick stay. Staff were great and check in /out was easy.

I came to town for a Metallica concert and stayed at this hotel. After the concert, when I returned to the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by a bar on the first floor. There was an amazing party with live music, and the musicians were playing incredibly well, very professionally. I went to bed after 2 a.m. I'm glad I chose this hotel.

Loved this hotel. Great location in the heart of Whyte Street, amazing bar and music venue, really friendly staff, spacious and clean room and a very comfy bed. Highly recommend it.

Quite convenient to walk around Whyte Ave, with plenty of bars nearby. However, it gets quite noisy at night, especially with cars passing along the street around midnight. I asked the staff if I could switch to a quieter room on the other side, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible. Additionally, the room amenities were quite limited, even no chair by the table.

Staff was great, hotel is very outdated and run down, not super clean, air conditioning in the room was broken and it was way too hot, chain lock on the door was completely broken off, smelled of cigarette smoke. I tried to contact the hotel regarding the issues and they never replied to me. Was way too expensive for what it was.
