Our second visit to this hotel. It’s beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Situated as close to the beach as possible in Nosara. You walk right out of the hotel to the path to the beach. A couple minor things on this trip. They did charge an extra $45 a night because we brought our son (making 3 of us) even though the suite we booked sleeps 4. So that added an extra $250 onto our cost. The other minor issue is the cost of beer at the restaurant. $8 a bottle for a domestic lager and $14 for a domestic IPA. In town those are like $2.50 and $4 respectively. We went to the local market and bought 6-packs for $12. On the other hand the cocktails are great and cost about what you would expect at an upscale bar. Otherwise the place is the best combination of location, comfort, and cost in Nosara. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic stay! Family loved it as close as you can get to surf and easy walk or short bike ride to restaurants/shopping. Staff were incredible. Super quiet for sleeping and everything you need right there for rentals (surf, quads, shuttles, etc…). Would stay again without question,

What a lovely place! Wonderful staff, great atmosphere, amazing breakfast and food. Short walk path through mangroves to beach. Surf place with lessons or rentals directly onsite. The rooms are much better than they look online with fridge, which was great for keeping a few drinks as prices at the bar were high…

My family of 4 (me, husband & two teen boys ages 15 & 13) had a wonderful & relaxing stay at Olas Verdes. It was everything we wanted. It’s not too big, so it’s not crowded. There were times we questioned if we were the only ones staying there. The food was amazing with homemade breads, etc. & breakfast is included. We left the hotel a few times to eat in-town, but felt the food at Olas Verdes was the best. The staff was very warm, friendly & attentive, but not overbearing. Anything we needed was addressed within 5 minutes. Boogie boards & bikes are included & there are surf lessons on-site for a fee. The beach was a scenic 5-minute walk from the hotel. We had the “2 bedroom apartment”, which was really 2 one-bedroom apartments with one on top of the other. Each one had a small kitchen & one had a full fridge. The entrances were separate. It worked great for us given we have teenagers, but something to consider if you have smaller children. It felt like an airbnb w the amenities of a hotel. AC is only in the main bedrooms, not in the living rooms. That wasn’t a problem for us. Laundry service was included as well, which was a huge plus. When we return to Nosara in the future, we will absolutely stay here again.

The responsiveness and friendliness of the staff make this place fabulous. I was only there overnight en route to a retreat but would absolutely go back for a stay. Quick walk to the beach, surf and boogie boards, small pool, small restaurant with amazing food. Perfect for what I needed.

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with the people and the hotel in general. The staff is beyond kind and accommodating. The hotel is magical. Very quaint and very welcoming. The place is beautiful! I felt so lucky to stay there. They offer so much to their guests; laundry, refillable water bottles, soaps, coffee, etc.The beach access is impressive. I cannot say enough. If you are thinking of staying on this property do not hesitate! I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Stayed here 3 nights and wish we were staying longer. Love the walk through the jungle to a beautiful beach, onsite surf school, food at El Manglar is fantastic, free breakfast is excellent, free bikes into cute Nosara for gelato, free laundry everyday, pool is great. Front desk even ordered us a tuktuk to go to a larger grocery store. All around excellent place!

We stayed here for 5 nights in March with our two teenage boys. Upon arrival, they immediately took all of our luggage and met us with bottles of fresh juice and cold towels, then gave a tour of the property. On the second night there was an issue with our room & they were incredibly accommodating and moved us to a new spot right away.There are two pools, and between the two, you can always find a quiet pool as the hotel is not very large. The pool loungers were mostly in the shade which was lovely because it was so hot. The pool was saltwater and a lovely temperature and always very clean. The path to the beach takes about 3 minutes to walk and is through the jungle. A lovely walk, if you ask me. It's nice that the coastline is all greenery and not littered with hotels, because of the building restrictions (not within 200m of high tide I believe). Hotel had free boogie boards which were high quality boards and we used them every day. Surfboards are available to rent on site at Safari Surf, along with lessons. We also used the free bikes to go into town to the market, which made it much quicker. The rooms themselves are nice and well equipped. Came with shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bathroom and in the kitchen there was a full bag of coffee and some tea and milk in the fridge. Staff were all amazing, so friendly and even remembered our names. The included breakfast had a lot of selection and was delicious. We had almost everything on the menu between the 4 of us.

Oles Verdes was an amazing experience! The hospitality is unmatched! The welcome at check in was awesome. We were blown away. The resort is beautiful and very comfortable. Our room was great. Being on the second floor felt very private. We especially appreciated the laundry service that’s included. Wow. The food was delicious and the walking path to the beach was so convenient. The beach was beautiful and perfect for learning to surf. We loved the pool here. It had several places that you could sit in the pool comfortably and was beautifully landscaped. We walked almost everywhere and spent an afternoon riding bikes around the village. The bikes that are included to borrow with the resort were perfect, and we also appreciated that they had boogie boards to use at the beach as well. The surf school at the resort (it’s operated by a separate company, but is in the resort) was really great and the instructors were awesome. Thank you Oles Verdes!!

Super hôtel! Parfait pour un séjour en famille! Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres, la section piscine est magnifique, resto et école de surf sur place, vélo à disposition, personnel si gentil! Petit chemin dans la jungle pour se rendre à la plage, complètement charmant. Spot de surf absolument génial pour tous. Famille de singes à notre fenêtre Juste WOW! Merci Olas Verdes pour un magnifique séjour. Nous reviendrons!

Our family of three stayed for four nights in the family suite bedroom with double bed and twin bed and separate living room space. Quarters were clean and roomy, AC unit was quiet and effective but only for the bedroom portion. The living room space didn’t have AC but in June wasn’t really necessary and with open windows and a fan it was enough. The noise from the bar and pool were loud from our living room space but the bedroom was very quiet. We had a big red ant problem on arrival, after squashing 50 of them I messaged the hotel for help and they sent someone around to spay and they did more treatments the next day while we were out. The hotel is a three minute walk to the beach through a damp cut jungle path and if you don’t move fast the mosquitoes will find you. The pool was nice and the convenience of surf lessons, board, and boogie board rentals were good. If you’re lucky you’ll get to observe capuchin monkeys play from your window and definitely get to listen to the howler monkeys often. The breakfasts and restaurant were just ok and a bit slow. I’d recommend walking over to Al Chilie for much better food as often as possible. The hotel staff tries extra hard to be congenial and provide the best customer service. This hotel is not within close walking distance to any town setting but the beach is right there and so beautiful.

My family and I stayed at Olas Verdes Hotel in Nosara and we enjoyed every minute. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our suite was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We all loved the short walk to the beach, the wonderful and tasty breakfast we were served every morning and the daily laundry service. Also loved the many howler sightings at and near the property.
My family and I stayed at Olas Verdes Hotel in Nosara and we enjoyed every minute. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our suite was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We received a nice room upgrade, staff was friendly and helpful, the in-room coffee was excellent, laundry was convenient, breakfast and juices were tasty. There was some noise from neighborhood construction that was a bit annoying, which is not in the control of the hotel.

Beach/surf access was excellent. Great beach for beginner and intermediate surfers. Restaurant and bar were good. Staff very friendly. Room was just what we needed. Only drawback is that the bedroom only has AC. If you have a kid on the pullout couch, they may be uncomfortable sleeping without AC. Oh, and breakfast is included, and it's a real full breakfast too. That's a money saver for a family of four. Overall I loved this place and am definitely planning on coming back.

The outdoor spaces were stunning. The rooms spacious and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and always helpful. The beach was so close, and the food was excellent. We will be staying there again.

Wonderful staff, great location. Just to clarify….we expected a patio (due to the photos on Expedia) but got a very very narrow balcony (no room for a chair, just standing). But…. retrospect I think we preferred to sit inside with a fan(!) facing the balcony as opposed to sitting outside on the patio.

My family of 4 (me, husband & two teen boys ages 15 & 13) had a wonderful & relaxing stay at Olas Verdes. It was everything we wanted. It’s not too big, so it’s not crowded. There were times we questioned if we were the only ones staying there. The food was amazing with homemade breads, etc. & breakfast is included. We left the hotel a few times to eat in-town, but felt the food at Olas Verdes was the best. The staff was very warm, friendly & attentive, but not overbearing. Anything we needed was addressed within 5 minutes. Boogie boards & bikes are included & there are surf lessons on-site for a fee. The beach was a scenic 5-minute walk from the hotel. We had the “2 bedroom apartment”, which was really 2 one-bedroom apartments with one on top of the other. Each one had a small kitchen & one had a full fridge. The entrances were separate. It worked great for us given we have teenagers, but something to consider if you have smaller children. It felt like an airbnb w the amenities of a hotel. AC is only in the main bedrooms, not in the living rooms. That wasn’t a problem for us. Laundry service was included as well, which was a huge plus. When we return to Nosara in the future, we will absolutely stay here again.

Our family of three stayed for four nights in the family suite bedroom with double bed and twin bed and separate living room space. Quarters were clean and roomy, AC unit was quiet and effective but only for the bedroom portion. The living room space didn’t have AC but in June wasn’t really necessary and with open windows and a fan it was enough. The noise from the bar and pool were loud from our living room space but the bedroom was very quiet. We had a big red ant problem on arrival, after squashing 50 of them I messaged the hotel for help and they sent someone around to spay and they did more treatments the next day while we were out. The hotel is a three minute walk to the beach through a damp cut jungle path and if you don’t move fast the mosquitoes will find you. The pool was nice and the convenience of surf lessons, board, and boogie board rentals were good. If you’re lucky you’ll get to observe capuchin monkeys play from your window and definitely get to listen to the howler monkeys often. The breakfasts and restaurant were just ok and a bit slow. I’d recommend walking over to Al Chilie for much better food as often as possible. The hotel staff tries extra hard to be congenial and provide the best customer service. This hotel is not within close walking distance to any town setting but the beach is right there and so beautiful.

My family and I stayed at Olas Verdes Hotel in Nosara and we enjoyed every minute. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our suite was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We all loved the short walk to the beach, the wonderful and tasty breakfast we were served every morning and the daily laundry service. Also loved the many howler sightings at and near the property.

Oles Verdes was an amazing experience! The hospitality is unmatched! The welcome at check in was awesome. We were blown away. The resort is beautiful and very comfortable. Our room was great. Being on the second floor felt very private. We especially appreciated the laundry service that’s included. Wow. The food was delicious and the walking path to the beach was so convenient. The beach was beautiful and perfect for learning to surf. We loved the pool here. It had several places that you could sit in the pool comfortably and was beautifully landscaped. We walked almost everywhere and spent an afternoon riding bikes around the village. The bikes that are included to borrow with the resort were perfect, and we also appreciated that they had boogie boards to use at the beach as well. The surf school at the resort (it’s operated by a separate company, but is in the resort) was really great and the instructors were awesome. Thank you Oles Verdes!!

Amazing experience at Olas Verdes! The staff was incredibly helpful with any request, large or small. We loved the path to the beach and proximity to town; close enough to walk everywhere but away from the bustle. Delicious, big breakfast. So, so peaceful. Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with the people and the hotel in general. The staff is beyond kind and accommodating. The hotel is magical. Very quaint and very welcoming. The place is beautiful! I felt so lucky to stay there. They offer so much to their guests; laundry, refillable water bottles, soaps, coffee, etc.The beach access is impressive. I cannot say enough. If you are thinking of staying on this property do not hesitate! I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We stayed here for 5 nights in March with our two teenage boys. Upon arrival, they immediately took all of our luggage and met us with bottles of fresh juice and cold towels, then gave a tour of the property. On the second night there was an issue with our room & they were incredibly accommodating and moved us to a new spot right away.There are two pools, and between the two, you can always find a quiet pool as the hotel is not very large. The pool loungers were mostly in the shade which was lovely because it was so hot. The pool was saltwater and a lovely temperature and always very clean. The path to the beach takes about 3 minutes to walk and is through the jungle. A lovely walk, if you ask me. It's nice that the coastline is all greenery and not littered with hotels, because of the building restrictions (not within 200m of high tide I believe). Hotel had free boogie boards which were high quality boards and we used them every day. Surfboards are available to rent on site at Safari Surf, along with lessons. We also used the free bikes to go into town to the market, which made it much quicker. The rooms themselves are nice and well equipped. Came with shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bathroom and in the kitchen there was a full bag of coffee and some tea and milk in the fridge. Staff were all amazing, so friendly and even remembered our names. The included breakfast had a lot of selection and was delicious. We had almost everything on the menu between the 4 of us.

This is a gem of a hotel with an amazing restaurant. The staff is the friendliest and so nice to us when we had our bag stolen with our phones. They were all ready to help and we did find the phones but not the bag. We slept like babies, the hotel feels retreated from it all and a trail to the amazing Playa Guiones. Thank you for amazing stay and all your attention and care.

Family vacation mid-January. Hotel is beautiful and staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is about as close to the beach as you can get in Nosara. Walk right out of the hotel to the footpath to the beach. The restaurant was excellent. Safari Surf School is right there. Definitely recommend.

Great food, friendly staff, 5 min scenic walk to one of the best beaches in the world. Howler monkeys and lizards visit the property - (this is a plus for me). Beds and rooms were comfortable. The roads going in were bumpy but don’t let that discourage you - the property and Nosara as a whole are fantastic. We’ll be back. :)

Fantastic stay! Family loved it as close as you can get to surf and easy walk or short bike ride to restaurants/shopping. Staff were incredible. Super quiet for sleeping and everything you need right there for rentals (surf, quads, shuttles, etc…). Would stay again without question,

Road to hotel is terrible, don’t be put off. This is what happens in nosara. Hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. Full breakfast made to order each morning is very good. Quick walk from hotel to a beautiful white sand beach. Birds, monkeys lovely pool and grounds. Costa Rica version of heaven

This is secluded, away from the busier area of the small town. So, we rode bikes into town during the day for lunch, exploring and called a “tuk-tuk” for evenings after dark when traveling to town for dinner. Close to Guiones Beach and totally laid back, which we wanted.

I booked and did not realize the distance from Liberia Airport (3hrs) but the drive was beautiful and honestly loved seeing the country. It is a hidden gem. Fantastic service, FOOD and DRINKS. Far better than I expected to be honest. Easy walk to the beach (like 3 minutes under the canopy of the jungle). The beach was fantastic and not crowded at all. I would def recommend. Not a great deal to do around there but a few restaurants and shops within walking distance. We were looking for this exact experience.

Far better than I expected to be honest. Easy walk to the beach (like 3 minutes under the canopy of the jungle). The beach was fantastic and not crowded at all. I would def recommend. Not a great deal to do around there but a few restaurants and shops within walking distance. We were looking for this exact experience.

Our second visit to this hotel. It’s beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Situated as close to the beach as possible in Nosara. You walk right out of the hotel to the path to the beach. A couple minor things on this trip. They did charge an extra $45 a night because we brought our son (making 3 of us) even though the suite we booked sleeps 4. So that added an extra $250 onto our cost. The other minor issue is the cost of beer at the restaurant. $8 a bottle for a domestic lager and $14 for a domestic IPA. In town those are like $2.50 and $4 respectively. We went to the local market and bought 6-packs for $12. On the other hand the cocktails are great and cost about what you would expect at an upscale bar. Otherwise the place is the best combination of location, comfort, and cost in Nosara. We will definitely be back.

The outdoor spaces were stunning. The rooms spacious and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and always helpful. The beach was so close, and the food was excellent. We will be staying there again.

Amazing experience at Olas Verdes! The staff was incredibly helpful with any request, large or small. We loved the path to the beach and proximity to town; close enough to walk everywhere but away from the bustle. Delicious, big breakfast. So, so peaceful. Highly recommend!

Our family of three stayed for four nights in the family suite bedroom with double bed and twin bed and separate living room space. Quarters were clean and roomy, AC unit was quiet and effective but only for the bedroom portion. The living room space didn’t have AC but in June wasn’t really necessary and with open windows and a fan it was enough. The noise from the bar and pool were loud from our living room space but the bedroom was very quiet. We had a big red ant problem on arrival, after squashing 50 of them I messaged the hotel for help and they sent someone around to spay and they did more treatments the next day while we were out. The hotel is a three minute walk to the beach through a damp cut jungle path and if you don’t move fast the mosquitoes will find you. The pool was nice and the convenience of surf lessons, board, and boogie board rentals were good. If you’re lucky you’ll get to observe capuchin monkeys play from your window and definitely get to listen to the howler monkeys often. The breakfasts and restaurant were just ok and a bit slow. I’d recommend walking over to Al Chilie for much better food as often as possible. The hotel staff tries extra hard to be congenial and provide the best customer service. This hotel is not within close walking distance to any town setting but the beach is right there and so beautiful.

Love the walk through the jungle to a beautiful beach, onsite surf school, food at El Manglar is fantastic, free breakfast is excellent, free bikes into cute Nosara for gelato, free laundry everyday, pool is great. Front desk even ordered us a tuktuk to go to a larger grocery store. All around excellent place!

My family and I stayed at Olas Verdes Hotel in Nosara and we enjoyed every minute. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our suite was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We all loved the short walk to the beach, the wonderful and tasty breakfast we were served every morning and the daily laundry service. Also loved the many howler sightings at and near the property.

This is a gem of a hotel with an amazing restaurant. The staff is the friendliest and so nice to us when we had our bag stolen with our phones. They were all ready to help and we did find the phones but not the bag. We slept like babies, the hotel feels retreated from it all and a trail to the amazing Playa Guiones. Thank you for amazing stay and all your attention and care.

Wow — my family has never experienced such hospitality! This hotel deserves 10+ stars for not only location, cleanliness, comfort and amenities, but the added touches of getting our room ready for our family and celebration of our anniversary with a bottle of wine, included breakfast, complimentary stainless steel water bottles, and complimentary laundry washed, dried and folded for us was impeccable and sets a new standard for superior service. The concierge was able to answer all our questions via WhatsApp which made it easy to explore the area on the go. To boot, the hotel helped us get breakfast to go on our last day because we were flying early. We would come back to Nosara just to spend time at Olas Verdes hotel. Thanks to all who helped make our experience more than memorable for our family!

This place was the cherry on top for our Costa Rican adventure. It was a perfect place to end our trip since it was the nicest hotel we stayed at and they had ALL the amenities and the location was ideal. The food at the restaurant was delicious as well. I cannot wait to go back!
