Almalusa is an excellent modernisation of an old building. The service provided is of a very high standard. Rooms are comfortable and immaculately presented. The In-house Delfina restaurant serves great meals and fabulous cocktails. Its location in the centre of the lower city centre is very convenient. Highly recommended!

The property is very close to downtown and walkable to the shops, restaurants etc. however situated just on the edge that it will provide you with a quieter evening for sleeping versus hotels sitting on the main strips were noise might filter through. There is a public underground parking you can pay to access, conveniently located just outside the hotel if you have to come by car. Please note this parking garage will be one of the priciest in the city, due to its location (also caters to town officials parking). When we checked in we found our room had been upgraded for free. Our room's decor was charming with our window overlooking the public square. We had a small kitchenette with a mini fridge which we found useful to hold cold drinks to enjoy in our room. We had everything we needed and staff were very polite and accommodating.

This was both a wonderful location within Lisbon and a beautiful building and hotel in itself. The staff was unbelievably, friendly, nice, helpful and attentive. The amenities offered were nice (laundry was done before expected, having a local cell phone as supplied was very very handy, we do not speak Portuguese so staff were more than happy to place a few enquiry calls for us)... Staff were very knowledgeable about the city and always happy and smiling.We made use of the restaurant several times for both breakfast and dinner and dessert. We especially loved the opportunity to sit outside al fresco on the lovely square. We appreciated the little thoughtful extras like porto and Portuguese tarts brought to our room. Couldn't believe our luck in picking this location as it was walkable to SO much of our travel / sightseeing list and the ATM we preferred and also places to eat or get coffee. Have already recommended this hotel to friends and when returning to Lisbon would definitely stay there again!

Very nicely decorated and comfy beds, and well appointed bathroom. Food in the restaurant is excellent and service by employees is also exceptional. Rooms are fairly small like most hotel rooms in Europe but high-quality. The only issue is finding the hotel. Uber and taxis did not take you to the front door because it’s in a courtyard location where cars cannot get to, and there is no signage visible at drop off.

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel or to stay here again if I return to Lisbon. In fact I liked it so much I extended my stay by 3 nights. The staff is great - it seemed by day 2 they all knew me and greeted me by name. Great breakfasts; they loan you a smart phone to use while you’re in town; the rooms are lovely and well kept. Very central and walkable location. Absolutely nothing to complain about- just enjoy!

This hotel was a beautiful, small historic hotel in the heart of Lisbon. It was close to Time Out Market, Placa Comercio and the Barrio Alto neighborhood. The dining at the hotel was excellent and parking was very conveniently located across from the hotel. The staff was warm and welcoming.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Ana provided the absolute best check-in, ensuring that we were taken care of while our room was prepared since we arrived early. The food was excellent. Breakfast and dinner were both of high quality and reasonable price. Parking is not technically on-site, bit it's so close that it basically is. It's pretty pricey even with the discount provided by the hotel, but it's convenient. And judging by how many locals use it for their work, it is probably not overpriced for that location. All in all, I'd happily stay here again, and I hope to do so.

It’s a bit difficult to find the hotel entrance but it’s a hidden gem at the quiet corner of the courtyard. The staff and service are great and excellent breakfast. Thanks for the handwritten restaurant recommendations - we highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Dining room was excellent both inside and out. Front desk staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Maid service was efficient and unobtrusive. Taxi was not sure where hotel was and dropped us off half a block away. Easy walk - so what.

Our stay at AlmaLusa Baixa & Chiado was excellent. The staff was very kind and the hotel gave us many resources on where we could travel too and what places they recommended to dine at. Some of the resources given were a map as well as a phone they provided you with which would help guide u around the city depending on what you wanted to do. The restaurant inside the hotel is also lovely and the food was delicious and traditional to Lisbon. The only thing we would critique was that the shower faucet wasn’t working well and we asked if it was possible for it to be fixed but they never got to it. Other than that no complaints and we enjoyed our stay!

The room was extremely clean and amenities were special. The service was exceptional. We had an issue with our room and the hotel manager was able to accommodate us with a new room. We received a delicious treat from the restaurant upon arrival and a soap to thank us for staying with them upon checkout. The guest services people were excellent in providing help, reservations, and umbrellas when it was raining. A special note that I would recommend would be to book a room facing the plaza and not the back of the hotel. The tram runs by there and you can hear the noise. I was not aware of this situation when I booked. The hotel was difficult to find and our driver was not able to find it. Be sure and get specific instructions.

Our stay at AlmaLusa was amazing. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The bedroom was cosy and immaculately clean. The beds were the most comfortable and luxurious beds we have slept in in any hotel we have stayed in throughout the world. The hotel restaurant was superb. Lovely food and waiting staff. The personal touches left in our room throughout the stay were a delight to return back to after a busy day. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we return to Lisbon. Highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel with a very kind and thoughtful staff. The room was very spacious, clean and quiet. Desk is staffed 24/7, room was cleaned daily and they also had a turn down service every night. On top of the staff being extremely kind and helpful, we were also left some gifts in our room as well which was amazing. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Location was amazing. Our room overlooked the Praca do Municipio, which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Close to everything - shops, restaurants, parks, and metro. Our room was tiny, but comfortable. They replenished water - plain and sparkling daily. At the end of our first day, we were greeted with warm chocolate muffins that were more like a gourmet dessert. YUMMY!!! On our last night they left a sweet note with a homemade bar of soap that smelled wonderful. Every single staff member was so helpful and kind. We didn't want to leave.

We got stuck here during the great power outage in both Portugal and Spain and the hotel staff was extremely helpful and kind. They made us feel safe and helped with whatever they could. The room was clean. The shower stall was miniscule - that was the only minus.

Great location in Lisbon to walk about the city. Right on a beautiful square beside Town Hall and very close to the water. Rooms were on the smaller side but bed was super comfortable and the washroom was perfect size. Didn’t eat at restaurant but looked very nice. Would stay again for sure!

Great location and pretty quiet overall. Comfortable beds, good price. Our room faced the courtyard which is opposite side of building from the trolley which we could hear when it went by, but not enough to be bothersome.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location and safe. Rooms were spacious and clean. Mattress was a true king (not 2 pushed together) and linens were crisp. If you're American, be sure to bring a converter.

The guest services people were excellent in providing help, reservations, and umbrellas when it was raining. A special note that I would recommend would be to book a room facing the plaza and not the back of the hotel. The tram runs by there and you can hear the noise. I was not aware of this situation when I booked. The hotel was difficult to find and our driver was not able to find it. Be sure and get specific instructions.

The AlmaLusa is wonderful! It has a charming feel as soon as you enter - and that continues as you are greeted by the friendly staff and enter your beautiful room. We loved this hotel and highly recommend it for visitors to Lisbon.

This little gem in the heart of Lisbon was our final stop on our trip to Portugal and we clearly saved the best for last. Beautiful facility with all the modern conveniences one would want built into a centuries old structure, with the design featuring those old world touches perfectly. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, friendly and ready to assist. The restaurant in the hotel provided a tasty breakfast bar each morning, and dining there for dinner on our last night in town, was a wonderful coda to our time in Lisbon.

We got stuck here during the great power outage in both Portugal and Spain and the hotel staff was extremely helpful and kind. They made us feel safe and helped with whatever they could. The room was clean. The shower stall was miniscule - that was the only minus.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Ana provided the absolute best check-in, ensuring that we were taken care of while our room was prepared since we arrived early. The food was excellent. Breakfast and dinner were both of high quality and reasonable price. Parking is not technically on-site, bit it's so close that it basically is. It's pretty pricey even with the discount provided by the hotel, but it's convenient. And judging by how many locals use it for their work, it is probably not overpriced for that location. All in all, I'd happily stay here again, and I hope to do so.

The staff at AlmaLusa was wonderful and accommodating. We arrived before we could check in but they stored our luggage and let us freshen up in the bathroom before we went about the city. When we returned to check in, a staff member informed us our luggage was already in our room and brought us up to show us around. We were even upgraded to a larger suite with a small kitchenette. Located right in the city hall square it’s a great location to walk around

Location was amazing. Our room overlooked the Praca do Municipio, which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Close to everything - shops, restaurants, parks, and metro. Our room was tiny, but comfortable. They replenished water - plain and sparkling daily. At the end of our first day, we were greeted with warm chocolate muffins that were more like a gourmet dessert. YUMMY!!! On our last night they left a sweet note with a homemade bar of soap that smelled wonderful. Every single staff member was so helpful and kind. We didn't want to leave.

Very nicely decorated and comfy beds, and well appointed bathroom. Food in the restaurant is excellent and service by employees is also exceptional. Rooms are fairly small like most hotel rooms in Europe but high-quality. The only issue is finding the hotel. Uber and taxis did not take you to the front door because it’s in a courtyard location where cars cannot get to, and there is no signage visible at drop off.

Great location in Lisbon to walk about the city. Right on a beautiful square beside Town Hall and very close to the water. Rooms were on the smaller side but bed was super comfortable and the washroom was perfect size. Didn’t eat at restaurant but looked very nice. Would stay again for sure!

Beautiful scenery. Located right on a square. Within walking distance there are plenty of attractions but it feels very quiet at the hotel. The hotel is a quintessential boutique hotel. The building seems to be some historic building. If you take stairs you can see the worn down stone stairs. The hotel ground is small but cozy and clean. The staff are very friendly. Highly recommend this place.

It’s a bit difficult to find the hotel entrance but it’s a hidden gem at the quiet corner of the courtyard. The staff and service are great and excellent breakfast. Thanks for the handwritten restaurant recommendations - we highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

This was my first trip to Lisbon and I really liked the AlmaLusa Hotel. It was exactly as describer, luxurious, charming and comfortable, in a historic building. The location is perfect, just one block away from Lisbon's Main Square. I shall visit again.

Almalusa is an excellent modernisation of an old building. The service provided is of a very high standard. Rooms are comfortable and immaculately presented. The In-house Delfina restaurant serves great meals and fabulous cocktails. Its location in the centre of the lower city centre is very convenient. Highly recommended!

We had a really good three night stay here. The hotel is boutique style, the rooms were stylish and well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable. The restaurant was good but the wine options were limited- two or three of the wines were chose were unavailable. On one of our days the cleaning staff were very late servicing our room but the reception staff were helpful and we were compensated for our inconvenience. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for it’s convenient location, helpful reception staff, good food and stylish ambience

Wow what a beautiful hotel! It's modern, airy, bright and located in a very quiet area. The staff are fantastic, the breakfast was plentiful and best of all, the staff left you a small gift each night with turn down service. Well worth the $$$$ that we paid.

We had a wonderful stay at the Almalusa. The location was optimal, the bed and showers were comfortable and the staff was very attentive and caring. The breakfast was very good as well. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Lisbon!

we loved staying at the AlmaLusa - it is centrally located to everything. Beautiful rooms that overlook the square where you can sit and have a cocktail or coffee thru out the day. The restaurant was wonderful as well- we had dinner there one night and would highly recommend it.

This hotel has a fabulous location for a Lisbon stay. It is unique hotel with beautiful interiors, has exceptional dining options (breakfast was delicious!) and the staff that is extraordinarily helpful. We ate at the best spots with their recommendations provided by Diago and he went over and above finding out mass times for the Catholic Church on Sunday for us. We highly recommend this hotel ! It’s a great experience.

When we initially got to the hotel we couldn’t check in, and had to wait for the 3pm check in time. However the hotel did message us when the room was available, which is a really nice thing to do. All the staff on the front desk were extremely friendly and would always say hello in the mornings and evenings. For a city hotel the room was a very good size. It’s not the biggest but there was plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 suitcases. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were very soft. There was a coffee machine in the room which could also boil hot water for a cup of tea. Coffee pods and tea bags were provided, but not always restocked daily. The rooms are very boutique and the decor is fitting for the area of Lisbon. All rooms have keys which they ask to be handed in when you leave the hotel. The hotel also offer a phone with 4G to navigate around the city. The bathroom was a very good side and included some very nice amenities. The location of the hotel is perfect for central Lisbon. It is a short walk to 2 metro stations and there are trams and buses running regularly from the main city square. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but there are a lot of nice restaurants in the local area.
