Room was in disrepair. Lights didn't work, window shade was totally broken, shower had absolutely no shelf for soap, shampoo, razor? Every light was a cold fluorescent, like sleeping in an office. Only positive is they had a nice TV ... Front desk staff could not have been nicer but both front doors were broken - had to pry open to get in or out. Ugh.

When I was looking for it there was no lights on. Very hard to see. Also no coffee until 7:00 a,m. What about people that are back on the road by 6. Very disappointed. Coming again next weekend will stay somewhere else.

No phone, fridge nor microwave in room. AC buttons don't work. No breakfast on Sunday. Pool closed, exercise room closed. Instead of fixing sticky hallway door, just stick a sign on it "door sticks push harder". Old washer/dryer on the parking lot with garbage in it.

I am requesting a full refund of this reservation. When I arrived at the Martinsville VA Comfort Inn around 8:30pm I drove right past the Inn, there were no lights on their sign or in the parking lot to indicate that i had reached my destination. At this time of night, it is pitch black outside. I pulled up to the front door where there were numerous men standing around and sitting. The lobby looked deserted, and I as a 70 widow was extremely uncomfortable and felt unsafe to the point that I never got out of my vehicle and left to find other accommodations. I highly suggest that you remove this location from your site.

I originally rated this hotel as exceptions when I stayed last December. They were the Baymont at that time and the rooms came with mini fridges and microwaves. This go around the room was completely empty. The automatic doors didn’t work, the Wi-Fi doesn’t work so even though they have Netflix you can’t watch unless you use your phone as a hot spot. It was loud as they are working on the building so I didn’t sleep that well. I would not book another stay at this hotel you are better off staying at the Hampton or in Danville.

The electric front door was out of service, the front desk lady was rude and not willing to provide the expected attention, further they sell their property with a Pool, and they simply respond that was out of service the pool. Terrible

Was here for the NASCAR race, so surge pricing was in effect at approximately $300/night. Hot water took about 20 minutes to get hot. TV was wifi-only and the wifi was intermittent the entire weekend, so the TV was pretty much unwatchable. Bathroom was less than clean. The blinds for the window would not open, so we could not let sunlight in the room. No worries, though, because the view outside of our room was a bunch of rolls of old carpet laying in the back yard of the hotel. Breakfast was so-so but the person running it was very polite. Definitely won't stay here again.

The bed sheets didn't look clean and the comforter was not clean and the room had a bad odor don't know if anybody was smoking in there at one time, But it didn't smell good. The employees were very kind and breakfast was good

I’m basing this review off the fact that there was a dirty, wet washcloth still in the shower when I arrived, along with one of the beds clearly wasn’t made. Of course I used the other bed and had no issues but still, very off putting. Also, there were bugs on the ceiling. They didn’t look like any type of roach I’d seen so I wasn’t too worried. Overall very disappointed in my stay and won’t be staying here again.

I didlike the fact that the property was dirty and had hair in the wash cloth. only one wash cloth tub was nasty and was not satisfied at all and will never stay there again. I would have been better off sleeping in my car

The property needs some maintenance. I had a room and my mother had a room. She changed rooms three times due to lights not working, AC not functioning and the last room didn’t have a microwave and refrigerator. In my room, the toilet paper holder kept coming out of the wall and the door was off so you had to shove it Closed so it would latch. Evidently, there was a snake in the first floor hallway the morning that we left. Considering that there are NASCAR races coming to town, you would think the property would be top-notch.

Convenient location, average breakfast. 1st room we were given the lights in the bathroom didn't work, got a second room and the door lock wouldn't work, got a third room and some of the lights didn't work but we stayed because we were exhausted.

The staff was excellent in fixing issues we had when we first arrived. 1) The blind did not work. We needed light. 2)The WiFi did not work in the room. 3) A piece of tile was loose from the wall. 4) There was no frig in the room (or microwave). 5) My husband needed light to work at the desk. A lamp was brought in to remedy the situation. Since the WiFi did not work in the room, they moved us down the hall to a different room. We were tired, so we went to bed. The next night I told my husband that it felt like my side of the bed was broken. If I got too close to the edge of the bed, I could fall off. My husband felt around and felt nothing under my side of the bed. We went to the desk the next morning and they sent up a couple of maintenance men to check it out. They picked up the bed to find out that whoever set up the bed put the box spring upside down, thus, there was no support for my side of the bed. There were no phones in either room to call down to the desk (or anywhere).

Older property. Needs updating. The room did not have a mini refrigerator nor a microwave. The desk clerk was nice enough to program my TV for cable channels. Breakfast was limited, but the waffles were tasty.

The hotel was ok. Other than no hot water. Also TV did not work even being signed into the Wi-Fi. Not sure what was up with that. Also walls are very thin can hear everything around you.

I checked into room and first room toliet was broke and leaking. Then they moved me to a room where the tv was broke finally they moved me into a room that was good. The staff was really nice and i know it wasnt there fault the hotel was falling apart. Also next day my key card would not.work and had to get a new one

When we checked out the front desk delayed us for 45 minutes because the payment from your company did not clear. Finally it came through. We were almost late for our appointment. Very dissapointed in your service.

The room was clean and comfortable. The check in staff was absolutely top notch! I think the girl said her name was Kelli and she was so helpful and sweet! We were there for a funeral and she was such a bright spot in our long day of traveling!

When I was looking for it there was no lights on. Very hard to see. Also no coffee until 7:00 a,m. What about people that are back on the road by 6. Very disappointed. Coming again next weekend will stay somewhere else.

Commode and shower area too small and lighting too dim. Door backstop in floor at lavatory is in way of movement at mirror. Continental breakfast good especially with waffle maker. Easy access to motel from highway. Bed slept good. Room needs a small refrigerator.

The staff was nice. The breakfast options were normal and good. The lady over that area was wonderful. The downsides on the stay were multiple. Only a piece of a ligh was working outside the property so it was very dark. The room seemed clean, however multiple Asian beetles were in there. The shade did not work so no privacy and unable to block out the morning light. Different types of Technology issues. Suggest you bring extra pillows as there was only 3 12in pillows on each bed. Door needed to be worked with in order to be locked.

After looking at reviews from 30 days prior, the same broken door was still broken. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. Our room had an adjoining door and we could hear every sound from our neighbors and their TV. The room is very simple, no fridge or microwave. The window blind didn’t work. There’s not much around the town but the room served its purpose and like I said, the breakfast was good for me and my two kids.

I am requesting a full refund of this reservation. When I arrived at the Martinsville VA Comfort Inn around 8:30pm I drove right past the Inn, there were no lights on their sign or in the parking lot to indicate that i had reached my destination. At this time of night, it is pitch black outside. I pulled up to the front door where there were numerous men standing around and sitting. The lobby looked deserted, and I as a 70 widow was extremely uncomfortable and felt unsafe to the point that I never got out of my vehicle and left to find other accommodations. I highly suggest that you remove this location from your site.

We stayed in this hotel for the race weekend at spring Martinsville. There was no refrigerator in the room like every other hotel has. I usually don’t complain but I had to keep refilling my cooler with ice to keep my daughter’s milk cold for the duration of time we were there. The breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast.

The Cofort Inn was clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was so kind and helpful. They had a good continental breakfast. And a lot of places to eat. And free parking 🙌. I will definitely come again.

No phone, fridge nor microwave in room. AC buttons don't work. No breakfast on Sunday. Pool closed, exercise room closed. Instead of fixing sticky hallway door, just stick a sign on it "door sticks push harder". Old washer/dryer on the parking lot with garbage in it.

Convenient location, average breakfast. 1st room we were given the lights in the bathroom didn't work, got a second room and the door lock wouldn't work, got a third room and some of the lights didn't work but we stayed because we were exhausted.

It was AWFUL. They remodeled it and did a terrible job. The room I was in had NO fridge, microwave, full length mirror, nor tissues (the tissue box was empty). NO plugs for electronic device's. That’s crazy since they just finished remodeling it. They don’t have any lamps and the shade in our room didn’t let up it appeared to be broken. The bathroom door was falling apart. It looked liked it had been kicked in or something. All they did was try to glue it back together and paint over it. The bathroom was tiny. The shower doesn’t have a place to put your body wash/shampoo or anything! The toilet continues to run unless you shake the handle. I have been staying at this hotel since it was build when it was called Jamison Inn. It changed ownership several times throughout the years but this is the worst it ever been. I’m there 2x a year so I have many years to compare it to. The “PRO” is they do have a got hot breakfast! It was very good. When saw Comfort Inn had took over and doing a remodel I expected better. Boy was I disappointed. I won’t be staying there again. I’m already looking for a hotel for my next stay this year. The price is reasonable for the area. It’s always said you get what you pay for. So if you need a place to stay with the bare amenities then this the place for you. So be cautious. I’d rate this Comfort Inn a 2/5

Everything was really nice. The staff was very responsive. I am disturbed that telephones are in the room but are not connected, and in my case, don't even have a connection in the room at all. I enjoyed breakfast, and the lady who prepared it was really nice, but would love to have had regular eggs (not fried hard) or even hard boiled ones (I don't prefer scrambled lol).

Older property. Needs updating. The room did not have a mini refrigerator nor a microwave. The desk clerk was nice enough to program my TV for cable channels. Breakfast was limited, but the waffles were tasty.

Walked up to the entrance and you had to manually slide the door open and shut it behind you. The second door was the same way. The staff was a hoot. I get to my room and discover that there was no refrigerator. The light switch for the bathroom was messed up so you had to jiggle it to get the light to work… The blinds were open, I pulled the chain to close them only to find that they were broken and was wrapped up over the top of the mounting point. I tugged on them and they fell down. The tv remote worked sometimes and sometimes it didn’t. Won’t be back.

Sadly, this hotel is not in great condition. The actual area where the beds are at appeared clean. The bathrooms have not been maintained well and maintained an odor. The hallways and areas outside of the room were dirty. Most corners have spider webs with bugs caught in them. Several spiders. Lots of dust. The day we arrived there was stuff (clusters of particles) of something floating all over the pool, therefore we never used it, and the gym was closed. In addition to this, the front doors were broken. We had to manually open and close the sliding doors. As well as the side entrance door did not lock. I was also unsure about the safety of the room door. Even when completely closed, lots of light came through the door because it wasn’t properly fit. The locks were also weak on the door. The hotel felt very unsecured and uncomfortable. I almost decided to make a 2.5 hr commute for the week. I only lasted, because I have a YMCA membership and was able to spend hours there and use their shower. This hotel needs lots of TLC.
